We decided not to get dessert at the restaurant because we saw Sloan's Ice Cream in the same area at the Grand Canal Shoppes. The first thing you'll notice is how bright and vibrant the store it. The original ice cream and candy shop was original founded in Florida, so it's nice that they have expanded out in Las Vegas! The store has a candy land vibe to it. All of the ice cream flavors are homemade with unique flavors like Cookie Monster, Scrumptious Pretzel, and Mint Chocolate chunk. If you're looking for something different, there are also fresh cookies, brownies and caramel apples available too! Some of the well known ice cream specialty creations at Sloan's are the sandcastle and the kitchen sink! I ended up trying out two flavors that I typically don't see in other ice cream shops -Carrot Cake (1 scoop) -Peanut butter cup chocolate ice cream (1 scoop) The carrot cake ice cream tasted like I was actually eating Carrot Cake. It was delicious! If you're a fan of carrot cake, I'd highly recommend the ice cream at Sloan's Ice Cream. The peanut butter cup chocolate ice cream was good too, but the carrot cake was fantastic. Pricing is a little expensive since it's located on the strip, but the unique flavors are totally worth it!

The employee was quick and offered us samples as she greeted us. I ordered a small scoop of the coconut flavor in a cup. The coconut was creamy, milky, and had some small coconut flakes inside. It was really good. The decor is very fun and cute.

Also, the service was incredibly top notch they were very welcoming to the kids, and it was cool because they had video gaming systems where folks can play while enjoying their dessert. Also, my son loved it because they sell Pokémon cards. Plenty of parking and tables and couches inside. They even have pinball machines too.

There's good parking. Inside is a small space with limited seating for a table and by the game station. Atmosphere was lively and busy. They have an arcade area, and there was a card tournament happening during my visit. Menu offers a nice selection of rolled ice cream, scooped ice cream and toppings, milk teas, house slushes, and iced tea. I've had coffee ice cream before but not as rolled ice cream. I ordered Affogato (regular, $6.96), which typically comes with coffee cream and frosted flakes. I asked if I could substitute the frosted flakes for chocolate chips, and really appreciate how they were nice to accommodate. I watched as Mariyah made the rolled ice cream. She started with coffee powder, added housemade cream, and mixed it well before flattening it to freeze on the cold surface. She then scraped the thin layer into perfect rolls, and topped it with whipped cream and chocolate powder. After a few bites, the texture felt very gritty rather than smooth. Instead of whole chocolate chips as a topping, it was covered in a sweet chocolate powder, making it overwhelmingly sweet. Because they used presweetened coffee powder mixed into an already sweet housemade cream, it became entirely too sweet. Also, the coffee powder never really dissolved, ice cream texture was very gritty and unappealing, like eating sand. Personally, affogato rolled ice cream should have a smooth coffee base. If they use unsweetened liquid coffee instead of presweetened coffee powder, the rolled ice cream will be so much smoother and less sweet. I shared my feedback with Mariyah, who was sincere and apologetic, and she confirmed that all of the rolled ice cream is very sweet. With drinks however, you can adjust the sweetness level. Service from Mariyah is incredibly kind, welcoming, helpful, courteous, and pleasant! The shop itself is really nicely decorated and the arcade games make it a fun environment. Unfortunately, the rolled ice cream just wasn't for me.

Ghirardelli is the only chocolate I eat, sorry not sorry. :) It just tastes *different, and since I was a first timer to this location I had to take it all in. :) Service was OK enough. There was one employee who seemed to be manning the front entrance, greeting customers, etc., and then once he got them inside he would direct another employee to ring up the order. I only have been to the location at California Adventure, so I didn't have a lot to compare it to, but this was very good time as well. If you're at the Linq Promenade, you have to make a stop here. At least for one square to give you sustenance for the tables and slots!

I've been coming here for years, and the Banana Split is still one of my all-time favorites. Their chocolates are top-notch, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a nice stop while walking the Strip. The staff was super friendly, and Tara was amazing -- very kind and made the experience even better. Seating is limited, but the experience and desserts are totally worth it!

On our visit, there were several sketchy people in the lot and some going to the adjoining liquor store. While most of the customers were nice family looking people, a few of them were on the sketchier side too. If this were the only issue, we would go back, but there were other issues as well. However, for the positives, parking was limited, but sufficient. Business was good and there was both a line and numerous people waiting for their food. The order area is well lit at night. Most of all, the servers are very friendly, helpful, and patient. Unfortunately, the rest of the downside are the most important things. The serving cup size is good, but the ratio of custard to hot fudge/toppings was way off. Most places do not give enough fudge/chocolate sauce/toppings, but here the ratio was half and half. This MIGHT have been ok if the fudge and toppings were layered as at other places that do not skimp on toppings, but here the fudge/toppings were the top half of the cup and the custard at the bottom. This made it difficult to get the custard and to get a proper ratio of custard to topping. Kind of like rationing your meat and rice or potatoes so you have some for each bite--you could not do this with the custard and toppings here. The custard quality seemed like it might be ok, but it was hard to tell due to the ratio and serving structure. Overall, Nielson's custard has the more standard concretes with mix ins and a larger portion size than Luv-it. Freddy's frozen custard, although not as good as Nielson's was still also better than Luv-it. If Luv-it could either layer its toppings and you have concrete custard consistency, then it could be rated higher. As is, you are better off driving the distance to Nielson's or just going to Freddys. Still, if you must go to Luv-it, just be aware of your surroundings and you will still get an ok dessert.
