There was no line and no service

I'm naming this YELP REVIEW "ANYBODY THERE?" This was not the first time we've visited this shop. We've passed by this shop several times within the last 10 years. The problem is we always come by during PEAK SEASON like Christmas, New Year Eve or a long weekend so the lines were pretty long but, we've stepped inside a couple of times and the lines were pretty long... This time we came during OFF SEASON so there were only 1-2 people in line and we were next in line... GUESS WHAT? Nobody acknowledge me and my husband. And I don't think we were too short to be seen. I'm 5'5" and my husband is 5'10" All the staff were just talking to each other. The ones that saw us pretended not to see us and made weird ignorant faces. The only difference between us and the other customers is that we were ASIAN AMERICANS... I'm calling it out: either they were being DISCRIMINATORY or LAZY... So we walked out on this OVERPRICED ICE CREAM place and took our business to Cocolini's!!! AMBIANCE: It looked like a candy shop!! I bet kids love it!!! Song of the Day: BYE BYE BYE by NSYNC

Sloan's is a fantastic place for delightful treats! You'll find them at The Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes, across from St. Mark's Square. Inside is bright, colorful, and inviting with awesome music playing in the background. There's no indoor seating but you'll find plenty of bench seats along the Grand Canal. The shop also carries a wide array of nostalgic toys, games, crafts, coasters, and kitchen towels. Menu offers a nice selection of ice cream, milk shakes, and smoothies. They even have options for ice cream sodas, sundaes, assorted cookies, brownies, fudge, and candy apples. I tried a sample for carrot cake and pistachio ice cream, both are good! I went with coffee bean (1 scoop, $7.49), it has excellent flavor, less sweet, creamy smooth, and yummy! The Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($4.29) pairs wonderfully with ice cream! It's sugar cookie made with milk and dark chocolate chunks, and Hershey's kisses. I asked Brian if he can kindly warm up the cookie, it was served nice and hot, topped with a big scoop of coffee bean ice cream, YUM! The combo flavor of coffee and cookie is so good! Service from Brian is incredibly kind, welcoming, attentive, and friendly! He is so nice and patient in helping me choose an ice cream, I'm really glad they offer samples and very happy with service, everyone in the staff is courteous and pleasant!

What a delightful little ice cream spot in the Venetian canal shoppes! I am sad that I didn't get to try the "hot bomb" but the ice creams I chose were rich and delicious! Love the colorful, candy shoppe vibe with super sweet service :) Thank you for the afternoon treat!

Was looking for something sweet while walking through the Venetian so we stopped by Sloan's. Overall we really liked it and would come again! I got the Mom's Apple Pie which was really good. Loved the caramel and apple flavor as well as the big chunks of crust swirled throughout. Really good ice cream. They also had caramel apples that were really good as well. The staff was also super friendly and let us sample multiple flavors. Would definitely recommend!

Located inside The Venetian as part of the canal shops is this ice cream place. They've got a decent selection. We tried 4 different flavors of ice cream as you can mix and match your scoops and absolutely loved Sloan's dark chocolate and the rum raisin. Though there was a line, service was pretty quick.

Craving some sweets, had to stop in this cute shop with the cute decors. Ordered a single scoop of snickers ice cream and the caramel apple. The ice cream is good, caramel apple is ok, the one at the chocolate factory taste better.

Came in for ice cream but left with a brownie instead. Advertised as a brownie and cookie but I would consider it more of a dressed up brownie. Whatever it is it's pretty damn good. The shop is very cute with pink everywhere and lots of treats, ice cream, and toys. I'll need to come back to try the ice cream. Service was sweet and nice.

Such good ice cream! It's also a candy shop with a prime location inside the Venetian along the Gondola. I had the mint chocolate chunk which was delicious. My husband enjoyed his pistachio. They have cute sundaes for wow factors, but we enjoyed an inexpensive cup. Fast and friendly service.

This place is such an eye candy! So bright and gets you in a good mood. They have 2 vegas flavors that I appreciate. I got the vegan chocolate icecream. It was very rich and really yummy. My fiance got the raspberry with chocolate chunks and it was comparable to the haagen dazs version. They also give generous scoops. A lil pricey but what do you expect from being in the strip.

If you're at the Grand Canal Shoppes and have a sweet tooth, Sloan's Ice Cream is a must-visit! This place is a delightful mix of whimsy and indulgence. The vibrant, colorful decor is super fun and feels like stepping into a candy wonderland. Their ice cream is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. They have a great selection of classic and unique flavors, so there's something for everyone. We tried Dulce De Leche and Sloans Chocolate and both were absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly and quick, even though it was busy. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality and experience make it worth it. If you're strolling through the Grand Canal Shoppes, treat yourself to Sloan's--it's the perfect way to cool off and satisfy your cravings!

This is a cute little ice cream shop inside of the Venetian. The service was fast and staff was friendly. They have a lot of cute little things you can purchase as well. Their prices are a little on the higher side but if you get the sharable bowls, they are worth the price.

Love this place! Nestled in the Canal Shoppe in the Venetian. It has bright colors and looks like a childhood dream. We visit here everytime we are in town. So many unique flavors. There are 3 sizes to choose from: kiddie is one scoop and not so kiddie size. I usually order regular and it comes with 2 scoops. It can get very busy here. Come earlier in the day because we noticed that later in the day, they run out of flavors.

I have a complicated history with Milk Bar…read more The last time I visited, I ordered the cereal milk soft serve because I wanted to relive the Milk Bar magic I remembered from New York. Unfortunately, it just didn't hit the same way for me, and I left feeling a little underwhelmed. Fast forward to this trip to Las Vegas, and after a serious sweet tooth kicked in, I decided to give Milk Bar another shot. This time, I went all in and ordered the DIY Build-Your-Own Pint. Was it on the double-dollar-sign side of things? Absolutely. Did I regret it? Not even a little. Being able to customize everything felt oddly liberating, and the end result was exactly what I was craving. Every bite delivered. It was sweet, indulgent, packed with texture. Bomb dot com. The experience itself was surprisingly fun too. The staff was friendly, and at one point they had hardstyle music blasting through their speakers. As someone who had just survived EDC weekend, I couldn't help but point it out, which sparked a fun conversation and a few laughs with the employees. The good vibes extended to the line as well. Even though there were people waiting, it never felt long because everyone was chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. If I had one complaint, it's not really about the food at all. Milk Bar at the Cosmopolitan operates more as a walk-up window than a true dessert destination. Personally, I think the desserts are good enough to deserve a cozy sit-down concept where people can slow down and enjoy what they're ordering. Still, this visit completely redeemed Milk Bar in my eyes. Great service, a fun atmosphere, and a dessert that finally lived up to the hype I remembered. If they ever expand beyond the window-booth setup, I'd happily bump this to five stars

No. I was a fan of Christina Tosi and David Chang who say they're "brother and sister", but not anymore. If this is how they train their staff to squeeze out more money from you, I'll take my stomach elsewhere. The pie was over priced, too sweet, and a small portion.

So I ducked into Black Tap at the Venetian after seeing a Wagyu burger on the menu. Being a lifelong space cadet in both profession (in my 23rd year at NASA,) and mental inclination (no comment,) I'd totally forgotten that I had a hard-and-fast obligation I needed to get to, stat - after having already ordered the Wagyu burger - so I asked the stunning waitress if I could change it to a "to go" order. The staff did not miss a beat, and a done-deal without a single hiccup and I was outta there. I did not have time to eat it so I had no choice but to actually let it sit in the hotel room getting cold - *gasp* - until I could get back to it. Sacrilege, I know, but... no choice. But even eaten cold (thanks TI for no microwaves in the rooms - though microwaves tend to kill flavor so maybe a good thing anyway,) it was seriously tasty and... a tantalizing draw. So the very next day I went back with no obligation hanging over me, and had the exact same thing, this time nice and fresh and hot. And it was, in a word: Sublime. - Cooked to perfection; - Juicy as small-town gossip; - Exploding with flavor in every direction like a Tears of Tragedy guitar solo; - And from a guy who grew up eating hamburgers that were walking around the pasture just a few days earlier, I can tell you with zero exaggeration that this is some truly righteous, farm-fresh beef. On another visit to Black Tap I sampled their chicken nachos - being a gym-rat, nachos are something I hadn't had in years but... it's Vegas and therefore WTH. And that - their nachos with chicken - is another to-die-for thing these people do absolutely excellently. So now I'm back in LA and Jonesin' in a big, big way and... they've got a location down at Disneyland. A bit of a drive but I'm thinking I could be a regular. Folks, if you're looking for some brews and some truly righteous food done excellently, look for this place. Not to be missed.
