When I decided to make the move to purchase my own place, I knew that I wanted to work with them. I was matched with Austen Kordosky from their team and he was eager to help me get started. Austen was super friendly, very flexible and always kept my "Must Haves" in mind when showing me properties. He also didn't push back when I sent him listings that I wanted to check out, despite them not being a best fit for me; he allowed me to go through the process and grow through the process. Mid-way through my search I pivoted from wanting a condo to exploring a single family home and Austen eagerly pivoted with me showing me three properties the following morning. He was great about reaching out to me with a regular cadence and suggesting properties for me to tour. One property in particular was one where he was representing the seller and it was not yet on the market officially. When I walked in I was super impressed with the beautiful light of the south facing windows, the gorgeous hardwood floors and 100-year-old woodwork. Despite touring several houses after that, I kept thinking back to the property that would eventually become mine. By having a sneak peak into a pre-listing I was able to take more time with my choice to purchase and avoided the craziness of the spring real estate market. This was something that had plagued me on several prior offer submissions. Had I not been working with Austen I would have never found this gem. The whole Odd Couple Team in general was awesome to work with. The co-owner of the team called me when I started working with Austen and after I purchased my home to congratulate me. Additionally, I received a fun welcome gift from them at my closing that was an awesome surprise! That type of all star service is why you should work with their team.     SOLD! That was the…read moremost important word that we wanted to see during our time spent with the Odd Couple Team. My only regret? Not partnering with them sooner. These guys deliver and go above and beyond the typical level of customer service. We ended up feeling like family. Such a great feeling to know we were with people that would get the job done. At times our selling journey felt like a long, epic, arduous journey, but hiccups happen and the ones that did were beyond everyone's control. We wouldn't change a thing. We have to thank my parents for referring Jason to us. What an excellent referral it was. Jason Koenig and his entire team were amazing from start to finish. Pros: -Marketing and communication. Amy M- what a bright, cheerful, encouraging communicator. -Picturesque photos- Nina- fabulous photos that say, " I want to live here". They obviously knew the market very well and the staging was INCREDIBLE and instrumental in the quick sale of our house. Happy with the counsel/advice we received and the fantastic service. While Cari Ann Carter Group is at a slightly higher % for realtor fees, worth it just for the staging and high touch service. UPDATE (approximately 1.5 years later): We recently used Cari Ann Carter again for the purchase of a lot. This was a bit spontaneous and Cari Ann is a pit bull when it comes to advocating for you. We were able to put in an offer Sunday, get a counteroffer Monday and secure the property on Tuesday. She was INSTRUMENTAL in making this happen quickly and is the best negotiator ever! She set reasonable expectations for us, which we really appreciated, and was very open in feedback along the entire way. More importantly, she is a DO-er! She had 2 contractors out within 12 hours of walking the property to help us with the logistics of design, finding a contractor, etc. You want her and her amazing team on your side when you're buying or selling!

Also had a horrible experience with their partner, The Closing Phase, yet they wouldn't help us out with the negative experience we had after they received their commission for the sale of one home and purchase of new one, it's like we were no one to them after all was said and done. Will never use or recommend Cari Ann Carter again! WORST experience ever!!

    For a home $350,000 and less a four star rating would apply…read more I am a former licensed Commercial Realtor in VA, and have a 20 year background in consumer/ industrial products mktg ( product mngr to VP of mktg adv pr, NYC ). I rely very seriously on Yelp when traveling and so write extremely carefully with all reviews. Mike and Elke Weiland are the finest people to work with. They are 100 % calm, polished, down- to- earth, extremely honest but professionally tactful highly intelligent well educated gracious gracious people. They are also GENUINELY sensitive kind good people. We interviewed approx 8 companies in two years before putting our 5000 sq ft 1963 home on the mkt 2/27/15 . It took 3 years of very hardwork ( along w my husbands unexpected 5 surgeries in 2013) to get the house totally ready for sale. This is our 4 th home in 38 years of marriage in 4 states. This is a very impossible house to sell for Sid Hartman had built a huge recording TV/ radio studio on the top floor . The Minnesota mkt has not recovered for homes over $500M-- we are just at 7% of sales in this price range . If we could hv afforded to wait 2-3 years, the return on our huge ($400M) improvements investment would hv been better, but my husband's health issues were the factor for sales today. There seems to be a very real small tight community of seasoned senior prosperous upper bracket price point realtors. They know one another extremely well and hold one another in very high deserved professional regard. They also do not welcome newcomers to their community. They network easily via direct email text phone. They control all high end relocation clients as well. Only through careful methodical research of actual realtor sales/ price points will you be able to ID this community. We never knew this. We have only lived here 15 years. We do not understand this particular buying culture= extremely different fr the East Coast. This realtor is not recognized by this high end community, does not hv the established network of realtor contacts, is not aggressively proactive nor strategically inventive with extremely difficult properties such as ours and priced our property about $30M too high and nixed a drastic price drop after the first two unproductive prime sale weeks where all feedback said " too high priced". It did not help that my nervous husband did not favor price drops as well. Now 90 days on the mkt with only two months of favorable buying ( September = drastic drop), we are now a short sale. Our price $599M must plunge almost $100M to be sold this year. Hopefully not lower. Short sales can ONLY be done by exclusive short sale realtors: they negotiate w your banks. Strive to close where you do not hv to bring any cash to the table. Most regular realtors can not will not help you EFFECTIVELY w your banking lenders Very Impt info. Good luck

Recently I asked Mike to co-list a 4-plex with me as it was my first foray into multi-family properties. This was a challenging listing with an out-of-state seller. Mike's knowledge and expertise were invaluable throughout, and despite being thrown more than one curveball, we got the property under contract within a few weeks.
