I was able to acquire a variety of jewelry items in different mediums for a very reasonable price, all made by local artisans and Center volunteers. Estate pieces are also available, priced below FMV, and lots of plans in the works. The atmosphere lends itself to creativity. The pottery pieces for sale would make great/universal gifts. I did buy a piece created by an artist who is now branching out on his own, thanks to Jason's coaching. It's contagious. :)

As is high school's junior my son had a project HE needed to do for chemistry class called the mole project. He was able to go to the village center for the arts where they had all the materials he needed as well as a certified instructor there who helped the kids with the project. Recently I saw that they were helping our middle schoolers with a social studies project. What an amazing thing they do and it's all free of charge towards students. Support small businesses and support these guys!

In my first class, Christine was so welcoming and caring - it is enthralling to be present in her passion to let everyone be immersed in the joy of pottery. Priscilla is the same in her compassion and knowledge. They are two wonderful women who allow this beautiful place to flourish with incredible art lovers from all walks of life. Members come from all over Fairfield county and beyond - I'm lucky it is in my town. Teaching pottery is difficult because everyone progresses differently and the instructors here do an amazing job or balancing the individual handholding and maintaining order of the class. While I work on my pieces, I get to observe some of the instructors whether they teach a group class or a private tutoring class. To share a few shoutouts: Safiya is fantastic with teens in boot camps - (I just learned that she is starting to teach Friday evening classes!) Julie also is a caring and competent teacher. Cass is an outstanding instructor with a wealth of knowledge; and Kate is such a sweetie, too! All Everyone is here because we love the joy of creativity and respect each other's artistic abilities. I enjoy conversations that accompany creating art across diverse age/gender/backgrounds here. There's something for everyone. Whether you are a tired parent looking for a mental health respite, an exhausted soul looking to enrich your artistic side, or to glimpse wonders in your own creation in general, I would recommend that you pay a visit and talk to the owners what you would like to do. They would be happy to help you find a way.

It's a painting, an arts and craft, a bakery, and a coffee shop. Great place for friends to get together and spend quality time, with great refreshment. They make their own bread, Cheddar scallion scones, chocolate chip cookies, sandwiches, and many other items. My favorites are the different coffees and teas. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, both with the food service and the arts. What a gem to have on Main Street.

Opted for the blueberry pancake cold brew, along with a piece of banana bread and an egg sandwich with turkey. Food was delivered outside, and I took my pics. The breakfast sandwich is delightful. Everything is seasoned, punchy, and plentiful. The bread was grilled on a panini griddle, but didn't toast. So there wasn't a lot of contrast in textures. But the egg was fluffy, had a cheese skirt, garlic aoli is strong, and the bread is baked fresh. The cold brew was strong, but the cold foam on top mellowed the coffee out and gave it a nice blueberry and yeasty sip. Very similar to a blueberry pancake which the drink is named for. Good but leaned heavy on the cold foam. Banana bread was a bit gummy. Too much banana and not enough flour nor sugar. Not bad, but the weakest bite of them all. Price was high, at about 24 for the 3 items. The quality is worth the price point, and it's a great but somewhat limited breakfast spot for the area. If you want an avocado toast, breakfast sandwich with actual flavor, and wicked strong coffee, then this place does it well. Baked goods can be a bit random in quality, but the savory fare is great
