The owner was working when we went in (around 5 on a Friday). When we walked in there was a group (3 or 4) teenagers or young adults (couldn't tell) that were painting and doing their own thing. Not busy. The owner was nice and attentive but seemed to be doing business wrap-up stuff behind the register. I told her I knew they closed at 6 and we'd be out by then (I wasn't sure if a late walk in was frazzling her). My daughter and I both picked our pieces and painted for an hour. The owner took care to label everything and tell us the instructions for pickup. I thought the price was reasonable. My piece was $25 and my daughters was $35. There's a $10 kiln fee per item and I tipped 20% (we needed extra paint). Anyway, it was fun! We got the text a week later to pick up our pieces and a store associate (not the owner) was there when we picked up. Our pieces came out beautiful! The associate spent some time with my daughter and showed interest in her piece. She also walked her through some of the other pottery there and made recommendations for pieces she could paint next time. We asked about birthday parties and she thoroughly explained everything to us and went into detail with her recommendations. All in all, I can't wait to go back again!

Upon answering the phone, Jamie was extremely defensive and said she would not be giving me a credit or a refund without bringing the piece in first and continued on about how this was an oversight and didn't warrant a review. Bottom line: I called to try and set up another appointment and instead she decided to ramble on to me about how inappropriate of a review this was. I tried in between her continual angry rant explain that I was not able to contact her first about it. When I picked up my piece I tried calling. After her response to my review I tried calling. Jamie became progressively became rude and argumentative despite me just wanting to support a local business. Again, I tried calling multiple times even after I left the place with my project. I waited on hold multiple times, left a message, and attempted to communicate this to her, but she only continued to argue, despite my minimal engagement and direct statement of intent to inquire about the post she left and come back. Terrible customer service. Honestly left the phone call shaken by how a customer could be treated for wanting to come back and inquiring about the response to a review. Disappointed because we had fun the first time and wanted to try it again. Update to Jamie's response of slandering a customer: Never did I ask for a free session! I called asking to set up an appointment for tomorrow and asked since I was going in what my options were for the project that the original post was about! Maybe if she wasn't so busy accusing me of being "inhumane" for an honest review she could have understood what I communicated to the first individual who answered the phone!! So after being yelled at by her and my character attacked for writing a review I told her I was no longer interested in bringing my piece in as it was a gift anyway for someone. Jamie came on the phone ready to just argue and accuse me of being a bad person for writing a review. It's hurtful to be accused and responded to this way for vocalizing my experience. Over the phone Jamie was extremely disrespectful and disruptive. It's unbelievable to be accused of a false review for stating my experience and being extremely disrespected. Sorry Jamie, you will not intimidate me or bully with your business practices or argumentative behavior.
