Finally made it over for lunch and sweet treat. Always consider staff and ambiance first, which was friendly and calm. Christian radio playing and benches for sharing. I opted for sweet treat and tea, and my niece selected the Korean chicken sandwich. This sandwich has spicy mayo, spicy breaded chicken, and topped with coleslaw on a white bun. Korean sauce was ordered on the side and tasted like a sweet and sour. She recommends it, if you like a bit of a kick. I didn't see many options for me, but I admit I'm kind of a picky eater. The cake was supper sweet, and the cookie was warm from the oven. I'd come back if they get more on the lunch menu.

Wow! Smashburger was SO good. Cookies aren't overly sweet and had a unique taste like grandma homemade cookies do. We will be back. Loved the message too!!

Looking for a cute bakery in Danville, Indiana look no further than this place. Super cute decor that is modern and fun. Very nice and informative employees that gave great suggestions and advice. As a first time customer I love that they make their products in front of you. My caramel latte hot was yummy and smooth! Prices weren't to bad and they have gluten free options!

Adorable coffee shop in Danville, IN! They have breakfast, lunch, pastries, and coffee! They were really kind and the service was very quick! I got a vanilla latte, a raspberry pop tart, and the chorizo hash! Loved it all!! The space was so modern and cute and they even had an igloo in the back with cute chairs and decor. Highly recommend checking them out!

Grand opening today if this hidden gem that's nestled amongst this small town neighborhood. Ample parking is located at the back of the cafe. You are able to enter either the front porch door with access from the street or if you park in back there is a nice ramp that leads to a back entrance. Order at the counter & if you eat in they bring the food out to you. Nice welcoming atmosphere with friendly service! Wi-Fi is available for working while you eat or enjoy something to drink. I was unfortunately too late and most of their cookies were sold out already. I opted for a 12oz. Carmel iced latte, which was the best I've ever had! Very light and refreshing! I also ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich and Kettle chips. The sandwich itself was huge and very good. Be forewarned that it does pack a bit of kick to it. It is an air-fried Chicken patty with Kimchi Mayo, Korean BBQ Sauce, Japanese Slaw & plenty of pickle chips which are a welcome addition. It literally hangs off the bun on both sides! This Cafe is known for their cookies and I will return soon to try those as well! On the menu are deep dish skillet cookies with ice cream scooped on top and also a milk and cookie flight which I will return for as I've heard the milk flavors are delicious! This is a welcome addition to my places I will frequent!

Their food is incredible and service is fast & friendly. Cookies are exceptional and they have breakfast sandwiches.

They offer outdoor heated seating and it's pet friendly! Nothing beats your furry friend and cookies!

The food, service and atmosphere are all incredible. Our fave dishes are the cinnamon roll French toast and smoked salmon omelette. We get them and split them so we both get sweet and savory breakfasts! The CRFT is always cooked perfectly, never soggy and doesn't need any syrup. The smoked salmon omelette over flows with smoked salmon and creamy dill sauce, it's to die for. Stop in for breakfast or lunch, you won't be disappointed!

We split a bowl of soup and they kindly served it in separate bowls for us, which I appreciated. The soup of the day was corn chowder and wow, I was surprised how good it was, I do love soups. I'd never tried corn chowder before, but it was creamy, flavorful, and comforting. I ordered the half salad/half sandwich combo. The smoked salmon niçoise salad had a blend of interesting flavors and the dressing paired perfectly with it. For the sandwich, I chose the BLTEA, and unfortunately this was the disappointing part of the meal. The avocado on it was clearly overripe/bad, so dark, mushy, and it gave the sandwich an unpleasant taste. I removed as much as I could, but it still affected the flavor. It was a bummer because this spot usually tastes very fresh. I've had it before and the avocado was fresh, along with the orchard salad which I loved. I would say the orchard salad is my fave. They make their dressings homemade and the dressing for the orchard salad was delicious. The service was still very friendly, and since they were slammed busy, I didn't feel like making a fuss about it. Everything else we had was enjoyable. The inside is small and quaint since it's a house turned restaurant, so it has a cozy but lively ambiance when crowded. One of the best perks here is definitely the made from scratch desserts. I love checking out the dessert case because the staff will happily explain each option and answer questions. There's something oddly satisfying about watching them slice the desserts too. I took a lemon cheesecake to go and absolutely loved it. I've also tried the blackberry wine cake which is a staple and delicious. A seasonal dessert that was really good was the pumpkin pie. You really can't go wrong with home made desserts here.

Today, I spent some time clearing out my father's home and helping my nephew, who'd been staying with him prior to his death, settled in a new residential situation. As I was driving through Danville on the way home, I stopped at the town square and decided to have a late lunch in the area. To be honest, I headed first to Square Burger. However, as a wheelchair user I was dismayed to see a step into their establishment. No go. I wasn't in the mood for Mayberry Cafe despite my love for the place. I looked over and realized this was a great chance to check out The Beehive. The Beehive is just off the square and shares a building with Two Guys Pies. The US 36 entrance is not wheelchair friendly, however, the back entrance has a nice concrete ramp (I did find the sidewalk a bit narrow - I noticed as I entered here that had I desired to visit Two Guys Pies there was a bicycle on the sidewalk that would have easily blocked my access). This is an attractive building. The Beehive has been here a little over 10 years. I'm not sure I'll describe The Beehive accurately - it's sort of a coffeehouse meets breakfast/lunch joint where you can also get fresh, local honey and other frozen goods to take out. They do catering and offer deli sandwiches, beer/wine carryout, a build your own salad menu, local meat and produce, and the aforementioned frozen goods. They also have a small retail area where you can buy honey, t-shirts, and other items. A good amount of their sweets utilize honey instead of sugar. I parked on the square in one of their accessible spots (parking is free, up to 5 hours for accessible parking but only two hours for others). I wheeled around the building - someone was planting plants/flowers and was super friendly and stopped his work to make sure I could get through). They close at 4pm on Saturdays - I arrived about 3ish. I ordered one of their combos that included a 1/2 sandwich, chips, and a drink. They do have unsweetened iced tea, fountain drinks, and a variety of canned/bottled drinks (including Choc-ola!). They also have a ton of coffee/latte type options. I found the prices to be reasonable. This is especially true given these are healthier options (though certainly not everything here qualifies as "healthy."). The employees were friendly. They were quiet, however, service was quite good. I loved the atmosphere. I had zero issues finding a wheelchair friendly table. I could independently reach everything I needed, though I'm sure they'd have assisted if needed. This wasn't a mind-blowing experience. It was simply a really good lunch in a pleasing atmosphere at a fair price. After an emotional experience like clearing out my family home (which isn't yet done), this was a great way to relax and calm the emotions. I enjoyed the sandwich, which is toasted, and they had Miss Vickie's potato chips. I'm not sure why it took me so long to stop here, however, I'd easily return for the simple yet wonderful menu, great drinks, warm atmosphere, and friendly employees.

The service was absolutely impeccable: attentive without hovering, warm without pretense, and delivered with the sort of genuine hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like an honored guest at an impossibly chic gathering. And then came the drinks. The pistachio latte was a masterpiece of balance and indulgence -- velvety, nutty, and luxuriously smooth, as though a pistachio grove had somehow been distilled into liquid silk. Each sip unfolded like a sonnet. The wildflower latte, meanwhile, was pure poetry in a cup. Delicately floral without being overpowering, it carried an almost ethereal sweetness, like spring itself had been persuaded to dissolve into espresso. It was whimsical, elegant, and astonishingly memorable. The Green Room Cafe has achieved what so many coffee shops aspire to but few truly accomplish: creating not just beverages, but an experience -- one steeped in artistry, comfort, and just the right amount of enchantment. A triumph. Five stars scarcely feels sufficient. I want to be able to taste the espresso and decided to pivot to a cocktail instead. Their cocktails were well made and the presentation was perfect. While there isn't a large selection of liquors, they have the staples to make most go-to cocktails in addition to their monthly specials (both cocktail and mocktail options). The food is what really stands out and would bring me back. You are able to choose a salad, flatbread or sandwich and their creations are unique and delicious. I had the pesto, peas and goat cheese on flatbread and was pleasantly surprised to find I could order the flatbread as a half order for $9 instead of committing to a whole order. I will be back but the coffee still needs some work before it would be enticing enough to became my go to location. Overall, it's a fun spot with options for everyone and a great addition to the Plainfield area.

From the moment he approached the table, his presence felt steady and reassuring, like sunlight spilling through a window on a perfect morning. His attentiveness was seamless--never intrusive, never absent--moving with the quiet precision of a well-conducted symphony. Needs were anticipated before they were spoken, as if he read the room the way a seasoned author reads a page already half-written. His service carried a rare warmth, genuine and unforced, like hospitality passed down through generations rather than rehearsed. Coffee refills arrived like clockwork, plates were cleared with graceful timing, and every interaction was threaded with an ease that made the entire meal feel effortless. George didn't merely serve breakfast; he elevated it, turning pancakes and eggs into supporting characters while he remained the quiet star of the morning. If excellence were a craft, George would be its master artisan. He made the dining room feel less like a restaurant and more like a well-tended haven, where everything runs smoothly because someone truly cares that it does. Hot Cakes is fortunate to have him--because a waiter like George is not common; he is the kind of presence that turns routine meals into rituals worth returning for. By the end of the meal, it was difficult to tell whether I was lingering for the last bite of breakfast or for one more effortless interaction. George has that effect--his professionalism carries a quiet allure, a reminder that mastery, when worn lightly, can be profoundly attractive. Hot Cakes serves excellent food, but George serves something rarer: the faint thrill of realizing that excellence itself can make the heart--and perhaps the pulse--skip just a bit faster. I love George, if he got on his knee at my table and asked me for my hand in marriage, I wouldn't hesitate.
