I absolutely LOVE this dance studio!!! The staff is amazing! We have been coming here for almost 2 years now and both of my girls get so excited on days that we have dance class. The girls here are wonderful with the students. They are so sweet, patient and caring. They make every class so fun for the girls which I feel helps the girls learn better. So happy to have found these classes. We tried a few studios and found them to have pretty high expectations at such a young age after all isn't it supposed to be fun! We used to go to the Creation Station in Culver City we LOVED Miss Caitlin and we were so sad to see her go, but Torrance is just as good and my daughter is taking to Miss Amber nicely. Miss Amber works well with the kids and keeps them engaged in the exercises. It has got be tough working with 3-4 year olds..The classes are small which is nice, they get more one on one attention. The location is great and there is plenty of parking. We are really looking forward to the recital this November. My daughter loves coming here so when she is happy I am happy. read more

WE LOVE CREATION STATION IN TORRANCE! The staff is wonderful, the studio is very clean and the families are really nice. There are 2 windows where you can stand and watch the dancers while in class. For younger ones, they will pull out a stool for your little toddler to be able to see thru the window as well. The teachers are really great with the kids, seem to engage with them well and care about them and happy to see the kids each week. We have had our daughter going there for almost a year and I have heard several parents thoughts about other dance schools who can be very strict and regulated by rules. Creation Station is fun for kids and not a competitive environment. They also have small performances every 5 weeks in class where the kids work on a special dance routine to show what they have been learning. Lots of fun and variety for kids... Wish I could give a better review. We loved the Creation Station in Culver City and its teachers. My daughter tried the hip hop class which was not her thing and that's fine but the teacher didn't seem to notice how upset and frustrated she was getting in a small class where one student was clearly bullying others. As a teacher, this is something that teacher should have noted right away as well as how frustrated and upset my child was. I teach 36 kids in a class at a time and work very hard to do so. We had great experiences at the other Creation Station and with their teachers. As there are many other places around here that have much stronger instructors, I will be taking my child there from now on. Sorry, Creation Station Torrance. read more

I can't say enough good things about Creation Station Dance! My soon-to-be-three-year-old can be a little shy and slow to warm up, especially in group settings. Not only is the staff here wonderful, patient, encouraging and accommodating, but the other parents are incredibly kind and supportive as well. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome and now my daughter can't wait to go back to her class with Miss Chantal next week! I highly recommend this class for anyone looking to transition their child from mommy and me to independent classes. read more

The staff is always very pleasant and work great with all the children (even the ones that throw tantrums in the middle of a lesson -- which makes it that much better!). My toddler loves ballet class with Miss Chantelle! I wasn't sure how she would do because she is very shy and other classes we have tried (swimming, my gym, etc) she has not wanted to engage with the instructors and only stay to me, or even ask to go home. Miss Chantelle is so warm and bubbly that she actually participates in the class and says "more ballet class" all the time! Miss Chantelle has such great energy that I don't see how a student could not have fun! (I haven't been to any other instructors but I'm sure they are all great). The atmosphere of the place is calming and friendly! We can't wait to continue our lessons here :) read more

They have a wonderful class for the toddlers (18 mos - 24 mos) using fun music, lighting and props. My little one loves it! I was really pleased that they offer flexibility with the classes, allowing you to make up for classes that you may have to miss by attending on a different day. read more

My six year old daughter has been practicing ballet for three years, and I say that Creation Station is the best dance school in Torrance. The staff is always friendly and kind, and the building is always clean and bright. Unlike many other schools, the people here at Creation Station understand how children think and work. I was looking for a ballet class for my 2 1/2 year old and I am so happy we found Creation Station. I love that they have lots of class times to choose from, and my daughter loves the class. And even though the girls won't be expert ballet and tap dancers at 2-3years old, the children really enjoy it and they love the teachers:) We've seen 4 different instructors with our daughter because we've moved from one class to another to better fit our schedule, and each ballet instructor has there own style, but have all been good with my daughter. I hear from other parents that do have dance backgrounds that they also like that they use proper ballet terminology with the children, and that it's very important for them to be taught that from the beginning. We also come from about 17 miles away to go here, and I think it's worth it. Regarding price, we first found them through a great Groupon deal for 3 classes and they also offer a first free class. After that it's $20 a class. I think that $20 a class is pretty standard to most dance from what I have heard from other parents. read more
