We went to Carrie's studio for a Paint Your Pet Sunday morning class and had a blast! Carrie and her co worker Dawn were so kind and helpful and really encouraging. Carrie even stayed an hour late to help touchup the paintings of those that us hat struggled (guilty!) so we went home with beautiful pieces that looked like our pets! This places is great -- very cool. I went to one of the Van Gogh vino nights... you can bring food, and wine. The music is pumping at times, but is also quiet when you need to listen to instructions. The time just flies... you dive right into painting and Carrie makes you feel very welcomed and artistic (even if you aren't:). I've been wanting to take lessons forever - this was a nice quick reward to build my confidence and actually leave with a painting ready to hang - how cool is that. You gotta go. Enjoy. read more

A great experience. I did Paint Your Pet. This is THE place to go if you want a great portrait of YOUR pet. Carrie does the drawing from a photo you send her and helps where needed in the painting process. I have never used acrylics before and with a little beginning instruction from Carrie I felt really comfortable with the medium. Highly recommend! read more

I recently enrolled my nephew in the teen after school art program. Yesterday was his first day. From the moment I first spoke to Carrie on the phone it was apparent how much she cares about the kids. Upon arrival we were greeted by Carrie. She immediately made my nephew feel comfortable and welcome. After the 1 1/2 hour weekly class was over he told me he had a blast and how helpful Carrie is. He is already looking forward to next week! I plan to enroll in some of the one day classes. What a wonderful place and Carrie is amazing! read more

Tears of joy! I had a wonderful time at Carrie Curran Art Studios in the Paint Your Pet class! I left crying tears of joy! I didn't know what to expect for my painting since I have not done it before. Hayley was my instructor. She was very clear, helpful, and fun! My painting of my 2 dogs is absolutely beautiful! Everyone who sees it says, "Wow! It looks just like them!"From the beginning communication by email and registering and paying online, to the instruction in the studio, everything was professional and efficient. The studio is beautiful, the employees are warm and encouraging. I will definitely do this again. It actually changed my relationship slightly with my pets. I knew they had subtle colors, but I noticed so many finer details when painting them. I see them differently now and feel like I have a deeper view of them just from painting them. I searched around the valley and even purchased a "Groupon" and a "Living Social" deal, only to find out that those places only had 2-3 openings per week/during the week only (falsely advertising as you had to pay extra to reserve a date), not BYOB, closed early (6pm), and/or did not communicate effectively about reservations. I found Carrie's studio on "Amazon Local" and from the moment I called, I received great customer service! Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to meet or speak with Carrie. However, I spoke to Maggy & Chris via phone and they were very receptive, friendly, and extremely accommodating for myself, my husband and 8 of our other couple friends. My only disappointment was that because they opened the calendar for our group for us and the public, another group was in attendance, which is more than okay, because the more the merrier. However, I'm not sure if we were having too much fun or if they were taking their paintings too seriously; but there was definitely an off balance as they were not as live or social as our group was. That type of thing can offset the fun atmosphere, but again we did not let it stop us from having fun! Just as a suggestion, for more than 8-10 people, future painters may want to book privately. Also, it would be nice to have a login page that shows how many seats left and to get deals for frequenters as the reg prices are quite pricey at $45 per person. In retrospect, our painting instructor Dawn was very welcoming, helped us get set up, and we painted the night away! read more
