Fun pottery painting activity at Desert Ridge Marketplace…read more I brought my two boys and my mom. The boys picked out an ice cream bowl and an ice cream cone with a spoon to paint. My mom and I assisted them with their pottery painting. The ice cream bowl and cone were $18 each plus $10 service fee per person (service fee includes supplies, paint, glazing and firing) Their pottery prices range from $5- $80. Free studio fee for children 2 and under. The staff was friendly, attentive and gave good directions on how the process works. They have a 3 day turn around for pottery pick up. They will not call you when it's ready.

I loved how they used a lot of free patterns available from fabric manufacturers. Most importantly I had great customer service! All the store employees asked me if I needed help and if I was doing ok. As a younger quilting customer (mid 30's) I am frequently completely ignored. So I was pleasantly surprised when I was helped! While I couldn't buy everything I had my eye on I learned they have free shipping through their online store - almost unheard of in the quilting/fabric world. But I did not get either and was just brushed off. The owner asked what I was there for, then gave me ideas based on how I described the person I was getting a gift for. I didn't even need to fully describe the person, the owner just knew what sounded good fully based off of my comments about what was funny. The owner was funny himself, was very bubbly and open, and respectful. The store itself had a good variety of options to choose, from funny and humorous gifts to cute jewelry and postcards. Everything was chaotic in a good way, fun and organized, and colorful. It's not for everyone, but I definitely think that a huge group of people would enjoy this place for what it is. The pricing was honest, no prices were hidden from view, and was fairly priced for how expensive a lot of souvenir shops are today. In total, I got five antique postcards that aren't made by the company anymore (and were collectible), a cute pink rock bracelet, a funny pin, and three suckers (one was free as a gift). All together, for the nine paid for objects, it was $46.46 before tax and $50.69 after the tax. If you're not wanting the usual boring gifts people get, you should absolutely visit this location. I found Hall of Frames online and purchased two framed newspaper articles. The price point was steeper than I expected, but after seeing the finished product, it was definitely worthwhile. As I mentioned, the newspapers were not exactly hot off the presses when I sent them for framing, and they were starting to wear a bit. Hall of Frames preserved them beautifully. The newspapers are completely flat and wrinkle free in the frames within minimal sign of the slight color degradation they had experienced prior to framing. The newspapers look absolutely beautiful. Hall of Frames finished the service quickly and shipping was super fast. The frames were packaged incredibly well and arrived in perfect condition. Robert was also very helpful and communicative. The Hall of Frames team is clearly very skilled at their craft, and I highly recommend!

We planned ahead and brought our bottle of wine and had a wonderful time. We went on an open studio night, so I did the door mat project, and he did the string art project. If you are crafty or creative, the studio is so fun! There are so many supplies and fun things. Audra was our teacher and she was great! She was very friendly and welcoming but gave us space to get creative and do our own thing. Everybody at the class on the night we went was very nice and we got to chat with everyone. From looking at some of the other projects they had displayed and listening to them talk about what they have coming up, I'm guessing I'll be back soon for more fun projects!
