Dan Baker was our broker and he did an amazing job. He went above and beyond, helping us navigate through many bumps in the road. We truly feel that had it not been for Dan and his knowledge and experience, we wouldn't have the outcome that we did. He's communicative, proactive and innovative...but most importantly, he got the job done. Thank you Dan, Steve and Restaurant Realty!

1/5 Unfortunately,…read moremy experience with Restaurant Realty Company has been extremely disappointing. As a small restaurant owner, I hired them expecting professional representation, communication, and an active effort to find a buyer. Instead, communication became one of the biggest problems. I repeatedly had to email and call both my listing agent and the company multiple times just to get a response or an update. There were long periods where I felt like I had no idea what was happening with my own listing. During my time working with them, I did not receive a single serious buyer/client for my restaurant. What I did receive were repeated conversations about lowering the asking price. I completely understand that market conditions matter and that no broker can guarantee a sale, but simply continuing to reduce the price is not what I expected when hiring a professional restaurant brokerage. For me, the most frustrating part was having to chase the people I hired to represent me. Even if a business doesn't sell, the owner should still receive consistent communication, feedback, updates on buyer activity, and a clear explanation of what is being done to market the business. If you own a small restaurant and are considering using this company, I strongly recommend asking exactly what they will do to market your business, how often they will communicate with you, how many similar restaurants they have actually sold, and what their strategy will be if the listing doesn't generate inquiries. Based on my personal experience, I would not work with Restaurant Realty Company again.

On the first day of moving in, the refrigerator door was left unassembled and fell on me, injuring my shoulder. Only three days later, a water leak issue began--clearly a pre-existing problem that was never addressed before my tenancy. The water leakage under my floorboards has caused mold in the unit multiple times. Since then, I have gone through three separate remediation efforts and have been displaced multiple times with my children from my unit at Summit Ridge Condominiums, Parkview Terrace, Vallejo, CA. Both times I was displaced, I was promised timelines for resolution, but those timelines were repeatedly extended. I was forced to move between multiple Airbnbs, causing extreme stress, inconvenience, and disruption to my family. I have had to fight for weeks to obtain proper and lawful rent credits and PG&E payments. Throughout this time, Renee has repeatedly failed to respond in a timely manner, directly causing displacements and making the situation far worse. I have also been given conflicting information, unfulfilled promises, and experienced delays that appear retaliatory. My unit has repeatedly been left unsafe, unsanitary, and uninhabitable, with personal belongings left in bags under dirty tarps and furniture that was once assembled, disassembled. This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had, and I would not want anyone else to go through what Renee Engelen has put my children and me through. This management company's repeated failures, negligence, lack of accountability, and refusal to respond promptly have caused significant hardship. Anyone considering working with HRH Real Estate Services should proceed with extreme caution and ensure all agreements are fully documented in writing.

When I called asking if another team member could help out, I was screamed at by Ed because he wasn't feeling good and it was near the 4th of July! He "told" me, that if I got the info back in 3 weeks, "I'd be lucky". Imagine that... I finally had to call the owner and then miraculously, we received "approval" for tenancy. A week before escrow was to close, my broker received an email at 5:45pm on Friday Eve. From Theo stating that the prospective tenants would have to produce a laundry list of items before the landlord would sign?!?!?! WHAT!!! Imagine the stress caused on myself, the new tenants, my broker, my employees... After hounding these incompetent people and my landlord nearly everyday, the landlord FINALLY signed 1 1/2 business days before close! I had one day to say good bye to my customers of 8 years and the weekend to move out. NOW... JOSH is telling me my security deposit will take 21 days to process?? We had two very ... shall we say funky... adjacent properties that we needed to off-load after the passing of our father. I was skeptical that these properties would sell within a few months due to their... quirks. Martin had nothing but the utmost confidence that he would find the perfect buyer - and he did not disappoint! We went from finally being ready to do the pre-sale inspections and photos on February 14th to an accepted off-market offer on February 28th to closed on March 17th. Martin is the Real Estate Agent you want in your corner, and if we find ourselves ready to make another real estate transaction I will absolutely be calling him.
