Before talking about the day of the events, I should backtrack and say that even during the planning process, Bebe was patient, thorough, and very easy to work with. She never pressured me into doing something just because it would be easy for her team, and she really took the time to understand my vision for my wedding so she could bring it to life - and she did so within my budget. You can tell she puts her whole heart into the events she takes on. Most importantly, I was planning my wedding from 1,500 miles away and Bebe was always available whenever I had questions or wanted to talk through tweaks (even on weekends and during odd hours). We got married in a small ceremony/after dinner with about 25 people back in February of this year (Feb 20, 2021). It was pretty much the WORST week ever (winter storm week) and I had hired Avery for day of services. We met "virtually" via Facebook and FaceTime many times and she was incredibly calming and helpful. I was so overwhelmed with emotions thay week and she guided me through it. She somehow managed to stay organized during the wildest of weather weeks AND during covid. I am truly grateful for her calming presence she was able to get along incredibly with family and guests day of but still managed to wrangle the wedding party enough to maintain an impeccable timeline day of (very important skill since wedding parties are notoriously a herd of cats on wedding day). The greenhouse-esque covering for the ceremony space turned out to be completely necessary for our wedding (because of course it rained for the first time in October on our wedding day). Our pictures looked wonderful and our photographer was so excited to shoot here. There are truly so many beautiful spots to capture every moment; you really get the best of everything.

We planned our wedding from out of state and it was so much less stressful to work with a venue that manages many of the details (flatware, catering coordination, table decor, etc.). We opted to use them for floral and they were beautiful! Loved repurposing the aisle decor to tables too. Having a day of coordinator allowed me to enjoy my wedding day rather than work it! The staff is experienced and reliable. They have a process that streamlines planning and work with several vendors that will give you a special price and know the venue/team well enough to have a very smooth experience. The staff was kind and very attentive! The venue itself was cute. The main space was huge, and can easily fit a large corporate event/wedding/private event. There is also a large outside area for outdoor ceremonies or parties. Outside of the main building, there is a pond in between the building and the parking lot. There were lots of critters and frogs screaming in my ear during the evening when the sun set.

Avalon Legacy Ranch is a beautiful venue for a wedding!…read more Came into McKinney for a wedding at this spot and the weather was really showing off this day. We had a shuttle take us from the Downtown McKinney area to the venue and it was a short-ish ride through ranches and open spaces. Once we arrived, the venue was beautifully laid out. We walked through where the reception would be (an indoor and outdoor concept) and went to where the ceremony was held. The wedding was held in the afternoon at the perfect time where it wasn't too hot and had a nice breeze rolling through the trees. The space where the ceremony was in relation to where the reception was isn't too far of a walk and, although not heel friendly, it wasn't too bad. There are many great spots to take photos at and to also hangout in between the ceremony and reception. The staff working the event was super nice and helpful the whole night. The venue itself was such a beautiful space for such a special life event.

Walk back on the compressed gravel trail to the main building and the reception was on the huge covered porch. There were space heaters mounted up above and put out just the right amount of heat on a coolish but beautiful evening. Great lighting on the patio, room for the double sided buffet line, tables and chairs for the reception attendees and just the right amount of room for the DJ and dance floor. I'm not sure how many guests were in attendance but I would guess around 150 or so. The inside powder room was adorable, complete with a pull chain to flush. Outdoors in the patio were more bathrooms for the cowboys and cowgirls in attendance. The overall vibe was comfortable- rustic and romantic, like you were in a beautiful wooded private space. Close enough to the city, but so fun to drive in and see cows in the field right next to the entry road!
