This is the second year in a row Creative Events has catered our company picnic! They simply do an awesome job. They were responsive to our questions and very flexible with our preferences. They coordinated everything from obtaining permits for the park, catering the food, organizing the games, and cleaning up afterwards! The entire event was family friendly. Face painting, and balloon animals for the kids. Bingo with great prizes for everyone else. We are already planning our picnic for next year. Try them out you won't be disappointed. We were doing a family reunion picnic in Los Angeles and selected Creative Events to do the picnic, they were wonderful to work with very accommodating as we kept making changes and adding additional things and additional family members. They were very organized, great staff, food was delicious and very plentiful, the games were well done and the games person was very entertaining. The staff was very friendly and we have over 200 family member with lots of kids and all had a great time. I would highly recommend them. read more

This company is terrible. We asked them to cater our company party. We asked for simple food like burgers and hot dogs. The food was cooked the night before and re heated at the event. The burgers were so dryed and over cooked, that it was impossible to bite into them. The games were a joke, in which they used homemade,old games from 20 years ago that no one at the party even tryed to use. I will never use this company again, and Arthur, you need to keep your word and give people what they paid for. There is no way your company will survive doing business like this. This company catered "chinese food" at my work. And I would have to say it is the worse Chinese food I've ever eaten, if it can even be considered Chinese food. The kung pao chicken was essentially small bits of chicken, onions, water chestnuts and what I assume to be some sort of gravy. The rice was essentially uncle ben's rice, which I assume isn't that bad but not when you're serving it as part of a chinese dish. A large number of my coworkers ended up with bowel issues after having lunch, most didn't even finish the food because it was so bad. Microwave dinners taste better than what they served. read more

OMG, the same thing that happened to Tasha in the posting below happened to our company!!! HORRIBLE...let me write it again, HORRIBLE! I was so embarrassed about the picnic and furious that the owner had painted us a picture of a picnic that did not even come close to what he had promised. The food was bad, it was so hot that there were HUGE lines to get something to drink AND THEN they ran out of water and soda. The staff began filling up the water with the hose from the park!!!! The speaker was a hand held speaker that could be used for a small group of 20 but not for hundreds of people! No one could hear the announcements much less the company raffle. WOW...the whole thing was a mess. Please use another company!! read more

We had our company picnic done through Creative Events and it was a blast! Lots of food, great service, but most of all, a great experience. The star of the show, without doubt, is their clown, Peek-a-Boo. What a gem! She was friendly, funny and kept the energy flowing by face painting even the most serious of guests. I've heard nothing but rave reviews ever since. Arthur was extremely patient and accommodating, working with us to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Most companies always have those few people that don't want to participate but Dennis and his team had almost everyone participating and having loads of fun. I just had Creative Events produce our company picnic and WOW it was great, fresh food and all you can eat, as many sodas and water as we wanted and it was a 100 degree day and they were cold and we really drank a lot. We had a game leader and he was the best we ever had in the past 8 years of hosting picnics, he was very organized and full of energy, and the prizes were plentiful. Creative Events even gave a way a 50' Color Television and a 22' Color Television as some of the bingo prizes. This company has customer service like I have not experienced in years, we made several changes including menu changes and it was never a problem. The food is really yummy and the hot dog grilling station was a Really big hit the staff was friendly and bi lingual which made all of our guests have a great experience. We retained Creative Events for our annual Company Picnic this year. They did a fantastic job with everything! From checking people in and controlling the crowd, to excellent freshly cooked/homemade food, to the entertainment provided was stellar. There are usually 5-8 employees that give up their time to enjoy to work during our events. This year not a single employee was working. Everyone had a blast! Over priced. Completely underwhelming. Pathetic. I am still kicking myself for hiring this company. Although, I should have walked away the minute the company refused to take a credit card payment because they did not want to pay the processing fee, it was too late to book another Game Master. Seriously, let me just summarize how crappy this company is... the prize for a kid's game was a cheese grater. A CHEESE GRATER for a FIVE YEAR OLD. Look at my Yelp reviews. I generally don't leave negative reviews unless a company is truly deserving... this company, by far is deserving. So, good luck to you in your future party planning event needs, do yourself a favor and walk away from this company as quickly as you can. EDIT: 08/23/18 2:10 PM Response to Creative Events' comments- Arthur W. is correct on a few things. On or about July 9, 2018 I contacted Dennis Lotz, Arthur W's agent and inquired about hiring a game master for our company picnic on July 28. The previous game master that we secured fell off a ladder and had broken his leg and would not be able to provide his services the day of the event. The initial game master we secured had quoted me a price of $450 ($64 per hour) for the seven hour event. Arthur W. quoted me a price of $1,000 for the seven hour event ($142 per hour). Not unreasonable in my opinion, but definitely over my budget. So, I declined his offer and countered with $600 for four hours ($150 per hour). Arthur W. declined and stated he could not do it for that amount, citing he would lose money if he accepted. He then stated he could do it for $750 ($187.50 per hour) for four hours if I committed to doing a whole event with them in the future. I declined and stated that I would not make that commitment, as I am not familiar with their company and I did not feel comfortable committing to another event without ever having worked with Arthur W. or his company Creative Events. I gave him a final offer of $850 for four hours ($212.50 per hour) and depending on the experience, I would consider working with him on future events, as my company hosts luncheons and company events at least six times a year. Arthur W. agreed and sent a contract the same day. Although, I paid more than I wanted I was glad I had a game master in place for our company picnic. Looking back, I am so pleased I did NOT commit to another event with Arthur W. or his company Creative Events. Arthur W. did mention that the price he was providing was including the "prizes". All the items that Arthur W. and Creative Designs provided were garbage in my opinion. Nothing that I saw was of any quality. They provided no-name candy you buy in bulk. You know, similar to the kind you find at the bottom of grandma's candy bowl that has been there since 1998 that NO KID ever eats. Fortunately for our employees, I provided bags of chips and ring pop candies for the kids along with 50 beanie babies that I had saved from a previous promotion. Had it not been for the items that I brought to the event I would have been utterly embarrassed to call any of the game items Arthur W. and Creative Events provided "prizes." Although, the email from Arthur W. stated the deposit would be due on July 13, 2018, the contract read "PAYMENT IN FULL." Complete oversight on my part. Had I been more diligent I would have caught that his contract contradicted his email and I would have either corrected it or a much better outcome would have been to walk away all together at that point. But I had signed the contract and I'm a man of my word so I decided to pay in full sight unseen and pray for the best. So, I called Arthur W. and I said "ok, I'll send the payment over the phone." Arthur W. stated "I won't take a credit card due to the charges. I don't want to pay the fees" At this point, I'm completely disappointed with myself for ever doing business with this individual and his company, but again, I made my bed...time to sleep in it. So, I submit the check request and I have the full check ready July 19, 2018, 9 days before the event. He said "please send us the check". I'm a bit disgusted with Creative Events' unprofessional tactics, so I'm not willing to spend another penny for their services. Not one penny or 47 pennies to purchase a stamp to send the check to them. So, I ask him to pick up his check. I said "Since you are unwilling to take a credit card due to cost of accepting a credit card payment, a company check was cut and is available for pick up. We close our offices at 4:30 PM." He refused but did state he would provide the UPS number to send it to him at his cost. Done. I sent the check overnight. This company, the service they provided, their, in my opinion, smarmy tactics are gross. From my experience this company and the agents I dealt with are awful. If you like the feeling of having to count your fingers after shaking their hand to ensure none have gone missing, then by all means give them a shot. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would! Worst experience with a catering and event company ever. Proof that if it's too good to be true it's not true. After several years using the same venue and caterer we decided to look for other options. The owner of Creative Events told us everything we wanted to hear to choose his company for our yearly company picnic for about 250 people. As we got closer and closer to the event more and more details started to change. Of course the owner would never acknowledge these changes but would in turn come up with excuses and place the blame back on us. We were thoroughly disappointed in how the picnic turned out. The food was a huge disappointment, not only in taste but in presentation. Everything was scattered and the flow didn't make any sense. We ran out of water so the vendor filled up the container with hose water. We paid for a popcorn machine but ended up with store bought STALE popcorn that was put in the machine. The carnival games were an incredible disappointment, nothing like what the pictures on the website or in the proposal looked like. Activities we'd paid for were missing and when asked about it another excuse was made and the blame put back on us. Most of the staff seemed pissed to be there which brought the mood down for the entire event. The owner was incredibly childish and even sat on a bench and pouted for about 15 minutes until I asked him where the basketball court (that he raved about) was. He looked around, unable to find it, and said "oh they must have stolen it". The owner was very difficult to work with and didn't seem to care about our satisfaction once he received his money. It's been almost three months since the event and they have still not returned stuffed animals that we purchased on our own. Definitely not worth the headache. Would highly recommend running in the opposite direction as fast as you possibly can! read more

Unfortunately my company had a game master that had cancelled on us at the last minute and we ended up with this "gem". If you are looking to entertain a group of kids near the age of 5 and you want to pay out the nose, then this is the perfect place for you! The "game master" was not personable, came with a shirt that was too short and had to be asked to please pull it down to not expose his midsection. Thank goodness we provided children's prizes, otherwise it would have been even more embarrassing. The prizes they provide are dollar store quality at best! My 5 year old got a dash chamois and a flat cheese grater that isn't even sturdy enough to really grate cheese! He did toss Frisbees into hula hoops on the ground, egg toss, water balloon toss, bubble gum blowing contest, and my personal favorite dumping cheap candy in the grass near the parking lot and told the kids to pick up as many as they could find while he sat over in the shade. When possible he sat during games and just talked over his megaphone. We rented out an entire field for games that was never utilized. I am so glad we did not hire them for anything else. I wish I would have read the reviews first! Also in the 100 degree weather, when we asked before the event to make sure there were water related games, he brought less than 50 water balloons for an event of 250 people. I can appreciate keeping kids entertained but let people pay for what they are getting! Please do yourself, your company, your wallet a favor and move on to someone that will appreciate your business. read more

I worked with Art to plan our company end of year dinner party. The event is this weekend and I feel 100% comfortable with the event we have planned. I will post again to fill you in on the food but for now I want to take the time to comment on the great costumer service we have received. Art has helped me plan an event for 250 people in less than one month and right now I have no worries at all concerning the event. He responded with quotes and venues to view within less than 48 hours. He has been very friendly and accommodating with all of our requests, and I can be a bit of a control freak. Art helped me stay with in a budget and get all of the things my mind dreamt up for this party. In short, it is hard to find good old fashioned attentive customer service and Art at Creative Events has provided that and much more for us. The CE company website and contracts are impressive but that's all that's impressive. Our Company picnic was understaffed, the food was terrible and I mean terrible. The owner Art gets upset if you question anything and swears it's taken care of. The assistant/associate is worse because he makes excuses for any item missing or forgotten all together.
