I hired Zebra Entertainment for several shows for my Preschool summer camp this summer. As a Preschool Director, I am always looking for professional companies to provide the best experiences for our children. We had our first show yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! This first show was a puppet show and the entertainer was so energetic and happy and included the children as active participants. She was able to keep 44 children ages 18 months-5 years old engaged and excited for the entire show. I even had some of our most shy kiddos open up and participate. It was truly my favorite part of my week seeing them so happy! We cannot wait for the rest of our shows this summer, because if they are as fun and engaging as this past show, we are in for a great treat this summer! read more

A one star doesn't even underscore what type of experience I had. I booked Zebra entertainment for a school event (a non profit organization). First of all, Zebra is a BROKER. This means that you hire a broker to sub the vendors so that you have peace of mind that everything will go smoothly. And you pay a premium for this. For example, something that should have cost $5500 cost $8000. Unfortunately, I learned this after the fact. If the event was not destroyed, I would have been completely happy as with everything else, there is a premium for good service and promise of delivery. I emailed the company many times and was specific about the sharp start time of the event. EVERY vendor showed up late. We had 2 giant obstacle courses that cost $500 each and they didn't work because of his faulty generator. (There's $1000 that I should have received credit for) Two days before the event, he called me to tell me that our major 2 rides (ballistic swings and fiberglass slide were NOT available!. Just those 2 cost $4000. And he did not have a good replacement. He brought a Ferris wheel instead that would literally fit inside my house. It was a joke. We had a petting zoo that I regret. The pen was tiny and the animals had no room. We were supposed to get an alpaca in a separate pen and neither one was there. She also showed up 1 hour late and had to pull her truck onto the campus while the kids are running around. (Petting zoo was for 2 hours and she came an hour late so that's $450 refund) The carnival rides came late as well, but not as late as the petting zoo. To add salt to injury, Zebra admitted that we were due a refund for the things we did not receive and the ones that came late. And then he was missing in action. I contacted him many times without a response. They have NO BUSINESS being in this business. I will also report them to the BBB and take them to Small Claims Court. This event was in October. I gave them ample time to make things right, and he chose not to. They are crooks to say the least. The worst part of it is that this event was paid for by funds raised by the PTA. read more

I was very pleased with Zebra Entertainment. We called them for a puppet show for our son's 1st birthday, and everything was confirmed and booked within 1 hour! (I had called other agencies and left messages, but received no answer until 2 weeks later, well after Zebra had already taken care of everything). Richard was amazing with the kids (ages 1-4) and held their attention for 1.5 hours (puppets/face painting/balloons), which was no small feat. I was completely turned off by the customer service. The representative with zebra entertainment, Elizabeth Ducksworth, was so rude and condescending on the phone. I was asking if they are the coordinators for other companies or if they actually are the petting zoo handlers. She mockingly said "No, the animals don't live here in our office, someone else handles them" I had originally called to finalize my booking, but was so turned off by her, that I went with another company. She seemed very annoyed by any simple question asked. I thought that's what the representative was there for??? I get it if you're having a bad day.. but I was about to spend $750 on a petting zoo, I'd like to know a little bit about it! read more

I would definitely not recommend this company at all. We hired them to bring a rock wall for our Church Halloween carnival. A contract was signed with the company and a deposit placed for a rock wall. The day of the carnival they arrived without the rock wall and tried to leave us other carnival toys which we had never ordered. We refused the carnival toys they tried to leave us and asked for a full refund of the deposit we placed for the rock wall. The company said that they would take the deposit for driving out with the carnival toys we never asked for. A personnel by the name of Will said he would speak to his supervisor to refund us. Ever since, they do not answer any calls or emails and have not refunded us the money. Legal counsel has been sought and action against the company is in order. They are a big scam! Do not hire them at all and stay away. You will not get what you want and your money will be taken from you unjustly. read more

We hired this company for a Christmas party, 2010 and they QUIT 1 week before the event! They were rude, argumentative, unable to take accountability for their weak, poorly handled, ineffective staff. They took 8 weeks to respond to my first request (should have known what was to come). They blamed US for wrong information that their staff gave us about the event! I tried to get them to come to our house to see the location, this took them 4 weeks to agree to, as our party approached. When they arrived, they were late! Update. My kid's winter camp needed shows for their holiday themes. I recommended Zebra and they had an act for each theme. A musical act, dinosaur romp, and a delightful storyteller. I had a really good experience with this company. I was a little nervous at first, because I spoke to a lot of different ride rental places and they all seemed unprofessional, but I ended up going with zebra because they seemed the most professional. They had a contract, they were quick to answer my questions, etc. While they were a little less flexible than other companies, I had peace of mind because I felt like they were more structured. I rented a merry go round for my daughters first birthday, and things went as smooth as they could go. The attendant showed up even earlier than they had said, which comforted me because I was worried about the set up. She set up quickly and with no issues in the area I wanted, and when she was done she even helped me set up other things for my daughters party! She went above and beyond. The guests had a blast on the merry go round and it was the star of the show. The only thing I wish I could have changed was that my daughters last ride was cut a little short because we were out of time. Since I was the one who hired them and she hadn't had a chance to ride the entire party because I was so busy, it would have been nice if they were a little more flexible and let her ride a bit longer, because she was overjoyed and it broke my heart when we had to stop mid joyous smile. Especially when it was all for her to begin with. But in all fairness, the attendant was nice enough to wait to pack up so that I could grab my baby and get that last ride in. I will definitely use zebra again for my next big event, and if you're having a hard time finding the company to go with, I recommend going with zebra. I'm so glad I did! read more

I hired Zebra Entertainment to provide the rides and games for my carnival themed wedding, and we were so blown away by their services!!! During the planning process, Shelly was so helpful in making sure that we got exactly what we wanted, and was so good about always getting back to us with the hundreds of questions that we asked her! We are so thankful for all the time and effort that she spent helping us! On the day of the wedding, her crew went above and beyond to make sure that all of the guests had the best time possible!!! The stilt walker/juggler was incredibly nice and talented and kept all of our guests laughing the whole night! The Ferris Wheel was amazingly awesome, and Andre, the operator was fantastic! We had a beautiful trailer game brought by Flip, who did an excellent job driving it into a very tricky space, and the guests had so much fun racing to see who could pop the balloon first! The high striker and skee-ball games were huge hits, and people absolutely loved the photo booth with all of the props! My favorite part was the 7 wooden game booths that we had, each with a different carnival game inside. Her crew worked hard to hang up all of the stuffed animals like I had requested and organize the overwhelming amount of prizes that we had! Everything that they did worked perfectly and made it the most fun and incredible night possible. They were able to transform a small empty back yard field into a beautiful full scale carnival, where both kids and adults had the time of their life! Zebra Entertainment provided the pony rides for a local city event. I was appalled at the way the ponies were treated. It was over 90 degrees that day, and the two ponies were left out in full sun on concrete all day, and with no water!! When I told the person that he should provide some shade for the ponies, he was rude and said I didn't know what I was talking about and that "they would be in the sun 23 hrs a day!". I also let the city who hired them know about the situation, and I hope they do not use this company again for their events. read more

We hired a clown for my daughters birth day. When we spoke with the employee who recommended several different ideas for the event ( bubbles, Parachute, etc...) When the entertainer showed up she was not ready. After speaking with her it was clear that she was not told of the items that the employee suggested. When we called them back the manager tried blaming us saying that we did not ask for any special request and that's why she only performed the standard activities. After talking to the manager for 15 min as she blamed us for there mistake she finally admitted that the employee who took our ordered forgot to inform the entertainer about the special request. read more
