They needed to stand on their word. Old school. IHC Painting is owned by Ike Harris and his son Joe. They came out and took the time needed to go over the scope of work. They explained everything that they would do in minute detail. I expressed my reluctance towards just about everything based on our last experience with 'professional' painters. They were kind, understanding and very reassuring. They provided us with a VERY detailed bid which outlined exactly what they were going to do. They were not the least expensive, but they did provide a competitive bid, which we accepted. The entire job was to take 2-3 weeks. In all honesty, there were a few hiccups (which can be expected from any construction project). But the real test of a professional business comes down to how they handle those client concerns. This is where I was most delighted with IHC. Whenever we expressed concern, Ike or Joe were on the job site to listen and resolve any and all issues within hours. No excuses, no BS. He suggested the paint color, brand and finish and gave me a rationale why. Other companies just deferred to me (which is nice) and suggested I go to a paint shop. Honestly, I just needed a hand with things -- Nevada recognized that and just got 'er done. But he wasn't pushy and I'm certain that if I had a specific color in mind, he would have proceeded with that color. In my case, I just appreciated the help. He and his colleague Omar re-arranged schedules to get the interior areas that were most visible, ready for an open-house. They made sure the darker color was covered, did a walk through with my realtor, sent me pictures throughout the process and honestly did a phenomenal job and got everything done in a reasonable amount of time for the price they quoted.
