We have worked with Creative interiors in 2022 to renovate a classic brick row house in downtown Jersey City. Louis and Tony have succeeded to bring that 1870's house to a 21st century lifestyle while fully preserving the house's historical characters. They were very attentive to our European-influenced needs and they quickly understood the style we were looking for. They also factored in the practical requirements of an family with young children without compromising on style or function. Their meetings were always well prepared and we agreed very easily with most of their choices of materials, colors, and accessories. they handled all the contractors for installation despite all the supply chain disruptions from the pandemic. The result of their work is a source of daily joy as we now live in the house. We re-hired them in 2023 to completely remodel the living room, which was pretty basic and which they turned into our favorite room in the house, complete with a smokeless real fireplace, shelves, furniture, fabrics and decoration pieces. Louis and Tony are FANTASTIC! They supported us in overall design of what we wanted in addition to funiture recommendations, color coordination, and carpets for our condo. Creative Interiors transformed our bedroom from a place where we slept to a welcoming environment that keeps us cozy and relaxed. The color scheme of gray and blue is perfect for the ambiance we wanted. The built-in drawers and shelves give us plenty of storage. One of the most unprofessional persons I've ever dealt with. Scratch that, absolutely the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with. I had a feeling from the moment that Louis walked into my home that he would be horrible to work with. I just got that vibe that he'd be high maintenance and that if you didn't LOVE and GUSH over his designs, that he'd be insufferable. Well, we never got to that point. I chose to go with someone more qualified that explained the design process in terms a newbie like me could understand and clearly had a better eye for design. When I wrote Louis, I was told that I were too cheap for him and that "he knew I had gotten myself in over my head". Louis, you have NO idea. We have been shopping at Creative Interiors since we moved to Hoboken in 2014. We were initially drawn in by the store's collection of unique and beautiful decorative items. So, when we purchased a condo at the beach, we knew that we wanted to work with Louis and Tony on a design plan. We had never worked with designers before, so we really didn't know what to expect. From the initial meeting through the project's completion, they were consummate professionals and truly listened to what we wanted for our home. They made what could have been a daunting process fun and collaborative. They also made the process less stressful by arranging all deliveries and installations with the building and by always being on site to oversee the work being done. The end result is not only beautiful, it suits us perfectly. Everything we ordered, from built in cabinetry, window treatments, rugs, lighting and furnishings, is of the highest quality and was custom made for us. The subcontractors they work with are first rate and artists at their craft. I truly can't say enough about how they transformed our completely empty condo into a warm, welcoming and comfortable sanctuary. Wish there was an option for 0 stars. My fiancé and I have always walked by this shop and finally got the chance to go in. We are currently in the process of buying a home and thought their services would be perfect for us. While walking into the shop I received a phone call from my Mom, so my fiancé and I sat down so I could quickly chat with her. One of the designers came up to us and asked if we needed help and my fiancé said, "yes, as soon as she is off the phone." The designer then walked away and turned up the music SO LOUD, I could barely hear my Mom. Then another designer came over and asked my Fiancé if he could get out of the chair so he could measure it. Then he looked at me and asked so RUDELY, if I needed help. They were obviously intently KICKING US OUT!! I have never been treated so poorly. We could have been their customers for life, but they choose to be SNOBBY & RUDE instead. Don't ever waste your time with these people. read more

Disappointed and disillusioned. It appears that some of the reviews posted on sites like this one are not written by consumers but by the merchants themselves. I suggest that you view any glowing, positive reviews with a grain of salt and do further research. The designers at Creative Interiors turned out to be nothing like many of the reviews posted, but were deceitful, greedy, and arrogant. I hired them to design a bathroom renovation based on photos from a showroom I saw in NYC. They took advantage of my naiveté and made materials choices based not on practicality but on what was the most expensive. In addition, I was required to pay a minimum of 35% above the retail price for every single component. I am now stuck with a bathroom that is fragile, difficult to clean, and cost double the original estimate. read more

My husband and I purchased a second home in the Cold Spring, NY area and needless to say, we were leary that a Hoboken design firm could meet our needs with a house so far away. We were wrong. Once we got through the long initial phase of assessing our needs, budget, etc. Tony & Louis were there when needed. We hired them because​ we could see they had a good eye, but also because both had contractor licenses and we hoped they would help us traverse those complicated budgets and manage the process. Thank god we did, and our fear of ending up with a "contractor looking" kitchen was far from the case. The end product was functional and stunning. ​Surprisingly they always offered several choices when selecting items, included a less expensive one and didn't make you feel guilty if you picked that. If I had any complaint, it's that they aren't quick to respond to emails, calls or texts. In an era when people expect immediate satisfaction, many (like my husband) found it frustrating -- but rest assured, it means they are somewhere else giving another client their undivided attention and I always valued that when they were with us (no phones in their hands...no checking emails...total focus.) We opted to move to phase II with them -- buying furniture/decorating. :) read more

I wish I could write a glowing review of Creative Interiors, but in the six plus months that my wife and I have been dealing with Louis, all we have had is one frustrating experience after another. All we wanted was to have our house staged to be sold. Once we got the initial contract from them, we called with a few questions, one of which was about their pricing (keep in mind that with staging, you typically rent materials rather than buy them) on items that they were requiring us to buy. Louis went out of his way to avoid answering our question in any meaningful way. After that call, we have emailed, called and left multiple messages and texted Louis directly many, many times, and have not once heard back from him or anyone else with Creative Interiors. Literally months have gone by. Needless to say, we are looking elsewhere for our staging needs. I'm not giving one star because we were never able to see their work product, which may in fact be fantastic, if you can handle the personalities necessary to get to that point (and are okay with the non-transparent pricing). read more

Working with Louis, Tony and their team has been great. They designed a 1 bdrm, 1 1/2 bath apartment for me in very open and modern building. I had never worked with a designer before and was looking for someone who could find a fresh way to combine all the many styles that I like while still ensuring that the colorful objects that I bring back from my travels could work well within the space. I'm amazed that based on our conversation and some examples of items that I like, that they were able to come up with an eclectic and funky design that really felt like me. They provided various options, were transparent about costs, and open to collaborating when I had suggestions. They also managed all of the various tradespeople and ensured that all of the work that was done was up to par. I couldn't be happier. My one note is you should assume when working with them that it will be a lengthy process. A lot of the items are custom, so it can take a while for furniture to come in. That being said, the quality is beautiful. read more

Tony has a great eye for design and is friendly and talented. Louis on the other hand is rude an incompetent. The team was not able to stay within the agreed upon budget (not even close!), they were no where near the agreed upon completion date, and communication was extremely poor. When it was months past a delivery date and I emailed to check on the status (which I believe they should have emailed me to let me know things were delayed - delays are understandable, but please let me know) Louis was rude, obnoxious, and unprofessional. When I requested more communication (I prepaid thousands of dollars upfront) I was told they don't work that way. My house is complete and looks good (thanks to Tony) but the process, stress, extra expense, inconvenience... was not worth it. Also, if you don't like the first thing they show you, they get mad. I was shown bar stools with practically no back (I requested a back) and when I didn't like them, I was told that those were the only ones they could find and I was on my own for bar stools. I found amazing ones on my own, but I thought that was unprofessional. Overall, not a good experience :-( read more
