The jeweler here is amazing. Was told by another jeweler at a different store that my ring needed to be fixed because I had loose diamonds and I'd have to get it repaired. It didn't work out for me to leave my ring at the other jeweler so I brought it here to get it fixed. Once the jeweler looked at my ring he told me the other store was wrong and there is nothing wrong with my ring and all my stones looked great and secure. So I walk in yesterday to this jewelry store I have spent money in and talked about highly of for years. Yesterday I walked in and wanted to know how much a gold and diamond watch would be worth. I did not need the money, I was mostly curious. Well, the man that owns the store came out and said it wasn't worth anything and I told him, "You told me 2 years ago, when I brought it in to be fixed, it would be over $300 to fix it and it was a high-end watch." He totally denied he ever said that and Yesterday, he blew me off very rudely, saying, "This watch isn't worth anything, maybe $199.00." I told him what he had said about the watch 2 years ago and if you are lucky maybe $299.00. I told him these are real diamonds. He shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I was so angry, hurt, and lied to, so when I walked out I told the lady, "See you in court for ripping me off to fix a $199 watch for over $300. I also told the woman sitting there, last year I spent $2,000 on a diamond to have set in my ring, and now I find out he is a liar and rude. So I finally figured out why he showed his true colors. I have purple hair and have lost so much weight, he didn't recognize me, so now I know how he treats other people that have on a Harley Davidson shirt, tuck in with black jeans and purple hair. I cannot say for sure, but I felt he was prejudiced thinking I was gay (from my mom stating that) and had purple hair. I came in with my roommate, who was on a walker, heard everything, and is my witness to how I was treated. I will never walk into his hideous store again. I would be careful if you are different looking and want to get an appraisal of anything in his nasty store and expect to be treated with respect. Never again. I went there years ago. I had purchased an antique diamond engagement ring and went there to have it sized. I know diamonds pretty well. They swapped out the diamond and put another recent diamond in. I did try to make a police report but I didn't have an assessment yet. The assessment works as a map for diamond so I couldn't file a report. They are honest and when I confronted them they just were sheepish about it. Don't go there. read more
