Admission is a bit steep, at $30 for adults and $25 for seniors. No extra fees for dogs. The trails contained plenty of dog poop bags, trash cans, and restrooms. It is quite well maintained. The trees are massive and nice to look at the vast variety. The Redwood Canopy Trail was cool to explore and is pretty short. There is also a gondola that takes you to an observation deck, though you may not be able to see anything if it is foggy. There are a couple of audio tapes that explain stories behind some of the figures that were there. Last but not least, the gift shop at the very end had lots of unique goodies to commemorate your time here.

The parking lot is large, with space for plenty of cars and tour buses. There are multiple buildings on the property, with a very large gift shop (ended up buying some souvenirs here, including salt and pepper shakers made from redwood), a shop that sells homemade fudge, and a private shop that sells more high end artistic crafts and artifacts. The restrooms are in a separate building to the side. Today wasn't the right time to take the gondola ride (1,500 foot high over the forest floor) and trail hike ($30 per adult), so will need to try it some other time when we have more time and ability to hike.

With that said, I wondered what some of the back stories were on a lot of these animals, were they being rehabilitated or were they there to bring in visitors. There were animals from Australia and South America which made me wonder, are the being rehabilitated? I enjoyed walking through the center and seeing the animals. There was plenty to see, from wolves, bears, bobcats, eagles and vultures. I found myself fascinated with the grizzly bear that was having the time of his life playing in the pools with a Although it is an enjoyable place to visit and you get to see a lot of fascinating animals, I couldn't help but feel for the larger birds (Owl, Eagles and Vultures) that have very limited space to fly. Yet I don't know if they could have survived if they were set free.

In 2017 when I got a camping space and THEN they told me there were no restrooms for the campers, as I recall from 8 years ago it was because things were out of order and being worked on. I was shocked and asked them, as a camper, where am I supposed to go? They had no answer. So I left. And I filled a formal complaint with the county health inspectors about luring me into getting a camping space only to then tell me there were no restrooms. He was as shocked as I was. OK, so this was 8 years ago and I'm sure their toilets have been fixed by now. But, no, i'm not confused and I did not have the wrong place. So that event gets to stay with you on Yelp hopefully forever, because it was a nightmare for me, I was ill and very tired and really needed a place to stay and it was a long drive back to find another place.

Didn't want to stay at the local…read moremotel, as I've read horror stories online of the local motel, so I decided to check out this place. Very satisfied with my stay. Easy check in. They have large and small cabins with kitchens, a RV park/campground, and a small motel. I stayed in the motel. Only $65 for the night which was very reasonable. The motel is probably from the 50s, and the decor is older, but very nice. Bed was comfortable, room and bathroom were spotless. There are no phones at the resort, and my cell service didn't work. I have T-Mobile, but I don't know if Verizon or AT&T would work either, as the resort is a ways from town. However, the resort does have Wi Fi. It doesn't work in the rooms, but it works with speed fast enough to stream video in a common area in the middle of the resort. They also have DirecTV in the rooms. The resort had a snack bar, but it wasn't open when I was there, because there were only a few people staying there. He said that they need at least 10 people staying to open it up. I can understand that. They also have a laundry. Overall, a comfortable stay and a nice simple place. It's close to the attractions, being on the Caves Highway, only 15 minutes from Cave Junction, (Definitely check out the Great Cats World Park), and Oregon Caves is only a half hour further up the road. I'd stay here again.

The Ninja classes are popular with the little fellas. There are gymnasts perfecting their skills on the floor, beams & bars. These students are serious and competitive!
