I liked what I saw from their online presence so I made a trip in. First Impression: Upon entering you see a clean modern well decorated space. There was consistent branding throughout which I like. If they take pride in their space I know they will take pride in me. There were techs working on clients but made quick eye contact to let me know I was acknowledged. I was able to look through their swag and products and take in the great atmosphere until a specialist was available. The first thing I noticed when speaking with the staff is they all had impeccable lashes and were very professionally dressed. How can you trust somewhere to do your services if they don't represent them on their own canvas (a tattoo artist with no art, or a hair stylist with bad hair...) Not the case at Lola. They walk the walk and it looked great. I booked two services on the spot as I knew my search for a great new location was over. I described what I wanted and the tech was quick to take care of my requests. First Appointment: I booked in to have microstroking, which is permanent makeup eyebrows with the newest technique. The specialist was a veteran in her field and put me at ease right away with her skill and ability. We had a fantastic appointment where was zero hesitation from Tina (my amazing eyebrow specialist) in her application and the end result was exactly what I was looking for. I have had this procedure over the years at other places and never left feeling as good as I did when I was in Tina's hands. I look forward to my follow up visit in 4 weeks and then getting touch ups annually with Lola and Tina. I can finally throw away my powder and brushes and the extra time every morning I dedicated to penciling in my eyebrows because Lola Lash Bar and Tina have achieved my desired look!! Second Appointment: I booked to have a full set of volume lashes done. Again I have been wearing lashes for three years now and would not hesitate to say I know exactly what I want in a set of lashes. I explained to my FANTASTIC specialist Jody that I want to see these lashes from a distance. I'm looking for that "Kardashian" lash that is quite obviously not natural. They have a huge selection of different types to suite every request from discreet and natural to WOW volume. She listened to my wants, which is so important and executed hands down the best set of lashes I have had. Period. Jody has a natural laugh that makes the client feel calm. Again like I had experienced in my first appointment there was zero hesitation. There is a confidence in her work that shows up in the finished product. I sat up when it was done and she handed me a mirror to reveal dramatic gorgeous work. It was exactly what I pictured, exactly what I described and it was executed in a professional and skilled manner. I was escorted up to the front reception desk by Jody where my appointment was finalized, another professional touch. I did not get the name of the attractive and quite knowledgeable gentleman who re-booked me and took my payment, but he was a great way to end the appointment. A couple things that are different about Lola and their team than in other high end spas and salons: I never felt like I was taking up their time. They made it clear they were there to attend to my needs. There was no "back bar chat" about each other, other clients or other appointments, being tired etc. I have attended some other high end salons and spas where the thing that puts me off returning is a negative or unprofessional staff. I will spend good money to be treated like I am the only client and Lola Lash Bar has that on lock down. I could probably write another 7 pages but I will finish up saying that it my expressed and experienced in the salons and spas of Calgary opinion that the only place you should go for lashes or permanent makeup is Lola Lash Bar. Book with Tina for makeup, book with Jody for lashes, finish up with an attractive gentleman and you have yourself a perfect high end gorgeous results experience. They are friendly, help lift my legs when they see I am struggling & ALWAYS do an amazing job. I get the full treatment with massaging of feet/calves which I need & try not to sleep. And their massage chairs are great for my back. The staff are kind hearted & pay attention to detail. Prices are great! I have been going for a few years & discovered a hidden gem. Thanks guys!

When I found xoxolashes I was immediately impressed. I chose Adrienne because of her background as an optician and the amazing reviews on her site. I figured if anyone knew about lashes it would be someone who has worked with eyes for 10+ years. I have a history of bad eyes, I got lasik surgery, had a disease where I was going blind and I have chronically dry eyes so I am skeptical of having anyone come close to them. Adrienne was very gentle and understanding of this and took great care in making sure I was comfortable. She truly listened to what I wanted with my lashes. I didn't want a very intense look, and I didn't want them too long. I told her "I want people to look at me and not be sure if I'm wearing false lashes or if I just have really good mascara on" and I got JUST that. It was perfect. I woke up the next day and actually completely forgot I had lash extensions - which is a solid indication of a job well done. It's been a couple weeks now, and my lashes aren't irritating me, they aren't flailing around, nor are they itchy. I'm glad I gave lash extensions another shot. I get compliments all the time, and getting ready is such a breeze in the mornings (I get to sleep in a little now!) I definitely recommend xoxolashes to anyone looking to switch technicians, or looking to try extensions for the first time. I really don't like being such a harsh critique but I have worked in salons for years and I have never ever seen a nail salon this dirty. She cut the cuticles on my big toes so short that they bled. The nail polish was not pulled down to the very end of the cuticle and there was a small space left there already. It's quite negligent to have someone not fully trained working with peoples eyes. I left with my lashes FULL of glue and my eyelids stuck open from glue. The best part? I have always felt totally comfortable in Tiffany Nails. The store is immaculate and all the staff are kind and good at what they do. The store is beautiful and well stocked. My nails last a long time. They always are so gracious to kids. And not only did she say that, but she delivered! 20 minutes later, I sat in her chair and got my face all cleaned up... Jillian was super sweet and did an excellent job doing some maintenance on my brows and cleaning up my lip. I'd go so far as saying she is meticulous in a good way. She even has this wonderful soft hand pillow that she uses so that her hand is not constantly rubbing up against your face as she works. I'd never experienced that before and I loved it. I left TBS feeling like a new woman! If I lived in Calgary, I'd likely be a loyal customer of TBS / Jillian. She must be doing something right as she's been working there for almost 10 years! I highly recommend paying Jililan a visit if you're in need of any facial hair removal.
