This was my first time going to Lola and my first time ever getting my lashes tinted and lifted, and my brows tinted, waxed, and lifted. Alyssa made me feel so comfortable, talking me through each step. The store is beautiful and clean, and the beds are comfy and include a pillow to put under your knees. Wrong size lashes made lashes wrong angle for eye. One sore lash was asked to remove and they would not remove the sore lash for four days after application. Did not make appointment easy for the fix and applied too long lashes to the ends of eye that now hang and need removal. When asked to fix they said not today and then called and asked to find another service provider . Thankfully there is a one close and less expensive that were happy to help. No apology for poor lash application just asked to find another lash bar with my eyelashes to my eyebrows and hanging long too heavy ends. Can't put a size 9 lash on the ends it's too heavy . That is all they had. Asked for J lashes and they didn't have them. read more

I love this place for lashes. Been going here for at least 5 years. The ambiance and decor is so pretty and print. Their prices are really reasonable too! I've seen 3 different techs here and all have a different style which work for my preference. I change up my look every few months and they always set me up with the style im looking for! Very unprofessional environment, girls discussing their issues while I was getting my extensions applied. Definitely not the best lashes application. Many of the extensions fell off that same night which may happen if u use products with oil which wasn't my case. Girls are very arrogant, not friendly at all. Procedure never got explained to me. And they claim like they sanitize their tools between customers which may be true by when u lay on bed first thing they do is put tape on ur eyes which I wasn't able to see if they're sanitized or not. I am sorry but eye area and trust must go together. You shouldn't wait for me to ask , you should go out of your way to make me comfortable and confident in the service you are offering. What a gong show! Worst experience ever. When I arrived one of the girls was taking a nap on the counter. She didn't lift her head off of it for 45 mins. If she was that bored she shoulda been cleaning that dirty washroom. Extreme grunge and dust all over everything. As for the awful lash job. I was very clear on what I wanted at the start, when the girl finished I couldn't even tell I had them done. When I explained this wasn't what I asked for I had my head bitten off by a very rude so called manager. I'd fire her in a heart beat!! I've never experienced such rude behaviour at a place of business. This place is a joke! Btw half my lashes fell off the next day. Save your money and go buy press ons. It was my first time going to this location and I was not happy with the results. The appointment was suppose to take 45 minutes to an hour but it ended up taking an hour and 45 minutes. When I got home my eyes began to sting and the first night more than 10 lashes fell out. I have had my lashes for 3 days now and they are all gone. I followed all the procedures and did not get them wet for over 24 hours but they all fell out. I spent $150 for the lashes to last 2 hours. read more

I had a great experience the first visit with the manager, however, all other appointments not with the manager have resulted in lashes coming off quickly, poor application and lashes lifting quickly and leaving sharp edges that were uncomfortable. The final straw was at my last visit the technician pinched my eye lid with the tweezers. Maybe the staff needs better training and glue not sure but unfortunate. read more

Went to Lola Lash bar in crowfoot. With them the customer is never right! The lashes were same as my own?? Nobody even noticed. $100 wasted. I called and told them and they said next time they'd make them thicker. So I have to pay twice to get what I want?? They recommended the style to me, i told them I wanted between normal and dramatic I am a performer think they'd be nicer to a first time client and try to give me what I want. Epic fail, would not recommend this place. Just got off Amazon magnetic lashes. $20. YoU can remove and apply easy, and put anything on your face you want without worrying about them falling off. read more

Very disappointed with my experience. Received mink extensions thinking they were the best, but now my lashes look worse than when I went in. I kept saying I wanted drama and volume, the technician never mentioned mink does not give you that, they're more natural. Now I'm out the money and have wispy choppy lashes. When I said I was unhappy no one offered any support. All they said was I could get a volume fill in a week at an added cost if course. This place does not care about its customers. They just want to push people through. It doesn't help that while getting my lashes done I hear the other technicians talking poorly and disrespectfullly about previous clients. With so many other options available in our city I will now be going to a place that actually cares about results. read more

NEVER GO HERE! I GOT A HUGE INFECTION, all because of their POOR cleanness. I've been getting lashes here for 2 years - by ONE person who is the ONLY person that is actually certified! ALL the other lash technicians at ALL their locations are NOT certified. one person watches another and learns and applies. NONE of their instruments are cleaned, nonetheless sterilized. They don't wash their hands, wear gloves, or wear masks. The girls are very unprofessional. The owner is opening up shop in Toronto and I would highly recommend NOT going!!! read more

Went in with high expectations but I noticed that my eyes were very uneven. The left side had way less lashes and they all fell out in about 4 day. The lashes on the right eye however looked great and stayed on for a couple weeks. It was quite inconvenient having to apply mascara to only one eye everyday. Got a lash lift at the crowfoot location. She rushed through getting the adhesive off with the avacado oil, showed me in the mirror for 2 seconds barely so I didn't get to see and I left with A LOT of adhesive still on which I didn't realize till I got in the car. 24 hrs later, my eyes are still red and keep tearing, probably from the residue in my lashes and eyelids. read more

Had an appt for a Saturday. Went on the Wednesday prior to the Saturday. The girl told me nope don't worry I'll cancel that appt so you won't be charged the cancellation fee. Not only did I have a horrible results of my lash lift (literally not lifted at all) then on Saturday they called saying oh no one cancelled ( even though I sent an email just in case of the girl making a mistake) and was charged $32 on top of what I paid for my pointless $70 lash lift. I've been to Lola a few times and usually have okay service. This past time I went for eyelash extensions the lady didn't give me what I asked for at all, they pretty much looked like my regular lashes. It was very rushed and one eye was really thick and long which was nice but the other had spaces and was short. They looked okay in the store and I didn't notice how uneven they were until I got home. If you're paying a lot of money for this service you should at least get what you pay for AND an even set! I'm very disappointed with them and I will be shopping around next time for better quality. read more

I've had eyelash extensions several times before from another place, but I decided to try Lola's because the location was convenient. I was initially happy with my lashes (the day they were applied), but almost immediately I began losing the false lashes. Normally when I've had extensions before I might lose one or two in the first few days but this was far more than that. The false lashes were falling off, this was not me naturally shedding my own eyelashes. I also wasn't aware that they use clumps of multiple lashes in addition to single false lashes, I've only ever had individual lashes before so I was not aware this was a thing. The multiple lash clumps look good and full initially, but are VERY noticeable when you start losing the false lashes, so within a week my lashes were uneven and patchy. Not worth my money, I will go back to my other place. read more

So I have started what I can only see to be a LONG standing relationship with Lola Lash bar in Crowfoot. I did my research (this is a must when you are high maintenance lol). I liked what I saw from their online presence so I made a trip in. First Impression: Upon entering you see a clean modern well decorated space. There was consistent branding throughout which I like. If they take pride in their space I know they will take pride in me. There were techs working on clients but made quick eye contact to let me know I was acknowledged. I was able to look through their swag and products and take in the great atmosphere until a specialist was available. The first thing I noticed when speaking with the staff is they all had impeccable lashes and were very professionally dressed. How can you trust somewhere to do your services if they don't represent them on their own canvas (a tattoo artist with no art, or a hair stylist with bad hair...) Not the case at Lola. They walk the walk and it looked great. I booked two services on the spot as I knew my search for a great new location was over. I described what I wanted and the tech was quick to take care of my requests. First Appointment: I booked in to have microstroking, which is permanent makeup eyebrows with the newest technique. The specialist was a veteran in her field and put me at ease right away with her skill and ability. We had a fantastic appointment where was zero hesitation from Tina (my amazing eyebrow specialist) in her application and the end result was exactly what I was looking for. I have had this procedure over the years at other places and never left feeling as good as I did when I was in Tina's hands. I look forward to my follow up visit in 4 weeks and then getting touch ups annually with Lola and Tina. I can finally throw away my powder and brushes and the extra time every morning I dedicated to penciling in my eyebrows because Lola Lash Bar and Tina have achieved my desired look!! Second Appointment: I booked to have a full set of volume lashes done. Again I have been wearing lashes for three years now and would not hesitate to say I know exactly what I want in a set of lashes. I explained to my FANTASTIC specialist Jody that I want to see these lashes from a distance. I'm looking for that "Kardashian" lash that is quite obviously not natural. They have a huge selection of different types to suite every request from discreet and natural to WOW volume. She listened to my wants, which is so important and executed hands down the best set of lashes I have had. Period. Jody has a natural laugh that makes the client feel calm. Again like I had experienced in my first appointment there was zero hesitation. There is a confidence in her work that shows up in the finished product. I sat up when it was done and she handed me a mirror to reveal dramatic gorgeous work. It was exactly what I pictured, exactly what I described and it was executed in a professional and skilled manner. I was escorted up to the front reception desk by Jody where my appointment was finalized, another professional touch. I did not get the name of the attractive and quite knowledgeable gentleman who re-booked me and took my payment, but he was a great way to end the appointment. A couple things that are different about Lola and their team than in other high end spas and salons: I never felt like I was taking up their time. They made it clear they were there to attend to my needs. There was no "back bar chat" about each other, other clients or other appointments, being tired etc. I have attended some other high end salons and spas where the thing that puts me off returning is a negative or unprofessional staff. I will spend good money to be treated like I am the only client and Lola Lash Bar has that on lock down. I could probably write another 7 pages but I will finish up saying that it my expressed and experienced in the salons and spas of Calgary opinion that the only place you should go for lashes or permanent makeup is Lola Lash Bar. Book with Tina for makeup, book with Jody for lashes, finish up with an attractive gentleman and you have yourself a perfect high end gorgeous results experience. The price was very deceiving. $10 extra for first time lash extensions with them + tip = a broke girl with mediocre lashes. The lashes on one of my eyes are all going in different directions and it doesn't look natural at all. Very disappointed with the end result and having to pay for something that I didn't think was worth it. Not planning on going back to this location. read more

Went to Glow in Cranston for lash extensions and was thrilled with the result. Heather was amazing and did a fantastic job but coming from the NW was too far. Went to Lola Lash Bar for a refill. So disappointed! When I arrived for my first appointment she took me in and told me to lay down - no discussion about what I wanted etc. I had to force the conversation. She finally showed me three types of looks 'cat eye' and two others. I chose cat eye and said I wanted it to look like I had mascara on (not knowing there are different levels of 'mascara'). Plus, I had told her that my corner lashes often got caught under the tape so to make sure they didn't. What I got was nothing even remotely like cat eye and I looked like I was going clubbing the lashes were so thick. Plus my corner lashes were not done because she had taped them under. When I went in for a fill I booked with another tech. hoping for better results. I told her I wasn't happy with the original set because they seemed too straight, weren't cat eye (among other reasons) and you couldn't tell when looking at me head on that i had them on. So this tech put in a bunch of curlier lashes which wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't hang so low I could see them all the time and if they hadn't started twisting every which way. I still had nothing that resembled cat eyes. I finally called the manager to explain and sent her pictures at her request. She agreed that they were definitely not cat eyes and asked if I would come in so another tech could fix them. I said the only way I could see them being fixed is by removing them and starting again because they were still too thick besides the cat eye issue, but she insisted this tech could fix it. When I went in the new tech actually had a conversation with me about the look I wanted (which is what I had wanted from the start) and then said, based on that, she couldn't give me that look with the existing lashes and suggested we take them off and start again (though I would have to come back AGAIN because they hadn't booked enough time for a removal and full set)! So she removed them and she generously tried to rearrange her schedule to get me in within a week. When the manager contacted me to tell me that she could get me in she said they would give me a 25% discount on the lashes. WHAT?!? By that time I had been there three times, paid over $150 and had yet to get even close to what I wanted. When I pushed back she spoke to her manager again and called back saying that because they had done the removal for free (a removal they had to do because the lashes were terribly done in the first place!) the best they could do was a 40% discount! As far as I'm concerned I flushed over $150 down the drain on lashes that looked like they were store bought and applied by a rookie at home. The only reason I gave it 1 star is because the manager seemed to want to help as did the third technician, Jodi. Go elsewhere. read more

I booked an appointment online for eyebrow threading, having just moved to the NW and not wanting to drive all the way to the south to my regular girl. I figured that Lola had a decent reputation as a lash extension place, so I felt good going there for my eyebrows. I found the girl who did my threading to be awful. She just had me lay down, didn't bother to ask what I wanted done, didn't discuss the shape I wanted, and spent a grand total of five minutes on my brows. She was rude and never explained what she was doing. I had to fork out $20 + tip. When I got to my car and looked in the mirror, I could see that she hadn't really removed any hair at all other than a tiny amount right below my brow, and hadn't shaped my brows to match. I had to go home and trim my brows, tweeze below and between, and shape them myself. It was a total waste of money! I've never posted a review before but I felt like I had to with this place! Don't waste your time or your money- go to someone you trust even if the drive is long. read more
