The staff were very friendly but had no idea what she was doing. I went in for a lash lift, and honestly I should have just left once I realized she didn't even know how to get the lower lash pads to stick. I sat for about an hour with her pushing quite hard on my eyes trying to get the lash lift pad to stick (for roughly 15 minutes per eye). At one point she got perm solution in one of my eyes but I was worried to mention it because I felt that it would have been worst had she tried to fix it since she had no idea what was going on. It's quite negligent to have someone not fully trained working with peoples eyes. I left with my lashes FULL of glue and my eyelids stuck open from glue. The best part? Absolutely no change in the curl of my lashes (picture attached) I guess you get what you pay for! Save your money, and pay the little extra at a real spa!!!!! read more

This was my first time getting my brows done at the kurves brow bar in Southcentre mall and it was so disappointing. I got them threaded and tinted. The threading job was done well, I like the shape of my brows but I asked for my eyebrows to be the color of my roots. I am extremely fair skinned and blonde with dirty blonde roots. My eyebrows are black. I look like Eugene Levy. I am devastated and trying to figure out how to remedy them before my work event 5 days from now. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR BROWS. read more

Karam at the Crossiron Mills location was phenomenal! She made me feel comfortable and she didn't make me feel like I was just another customer but she genuinely made me feel like she cared about what I wanted and how I looked. She made sure that I got what I wanted and what I needed and she made me feel relaxed. She was absolutely amazing and she definitely got a loyal client out of me after that! It's my second time coming here and I have mixed reviews. First off, I'm a dude looking to get my fluffy hurricane eyebrows under control before it becomes a category 5 nightmare. First visit was fairly painless...I expected to scream like a little school boy running from the priest. She was quick and efficient. Everyone loved my perfectly shaped manlike eyebrows. Second time was more like it...more painful then I imagined and just when you think you were done, it was like 10 more painful punches to remind me she was boss. Much longer this time and she was going to enjoy every moment. Okay, I admit it....I didn't scream, but I did shed a little tear. Okay a lot of tears, and I couldn't hide it if my life depended on it...she even handed me a tissue. I don't know if that's normal. And I don't know if she was embarrassed for the pain she inflicted on me or if she was simply embarrassed for me tearing up in front of my boy, trying to act all macho. Price was good....don't know what eyebrow torturing goes for these days but this nightmare was worth every cent. Fitting to say I had to visit the Halloween store next door to let me eyes dry up. I guess if the results look good, it's worth the experience. But it's safe to say I'll wait another 20 years before I do that again :) read more

If I could give a zero I would. I have had my eyebrows threaded more than a dozen times and never had a problem until now. The first woman didn't listen and I had to repeat what I wanted several times until finally I said that I wasn't sure what more I needed to say.... I have been growing out my eyebrows for 4 weeks, I want a bit of shape and a little thinner. Then her coworker came up and said "give the customer what she wants!" And then she massacred my eyebrow. Just look at the picture. Do they look the same?! I said A LITTLE thinner. Not an inch inwards from my normal growth and pencil thin!!! I can't even say how upset I am! Thankfully a wonderful Mac makeup artist saved me but a picture says a thousand words and all it really needs to say is DO NOT LET THEM DO THIS TO YOUR FACE! Unreal. Have been back twice to see Rajni and was very happy both times. I used to over pluck my brows when I was younger and have had many shaping where the stylist will wax my brows super thin despite me explaining I like them full. Both times I have come here they have left my brow very full and beautifully shaped. The service is fast and the price is reasonable too. read more

I have been having my eyebrows threaded for the last five years and never had a problem when I went to my main stylist. She is on vacation, so I thought since I was at the mall, I would try this place out. Omg! What a mistake! The girl couldn't thread if her life depended on it. She pull my eyebrows out in clumps! The most painful eyebrows experience I ever had. Waxing and tweezing them one by one would feel better. And they are a total mess. I can only hope she didn't damage the shafts too much so I don't have permanent hair loss. Horrifying! Then she charged me more than what she said it would cost and said it was tax. But said total cost when I asked her before. I don't buy it lady. The only thing worse than getting your eyebrows ripped out of your face, is being over charged for it! read more

I have had my eyebrows threaded here many many times. For $11.50 I have had both a crappy job done, leaving like I was a Quasimodo stunt double and I have also left with perfectly arched brows. I have gone to many places including expensive brow bars that charge twice the price and have had mixed experiences as well. I have had the rude girl on the phone that threaded my brows in 37 seconds and made them bleed for hours (yes, I felt weirdly obligated to tip for that horrifying experience) For the best experience, wait until Jenny is working. I tried Kurves Bro Bar at Sunridge Mall for the first time on Saturday. i have to say I was really impressed by the service I received here, I believe her name was Jenny. She is an amazing artist and very professional with her work. She greeted me with a smile and told me to take a seat. She then started shaping my eye brows and did a excellent job. This is the first time I have ever got my eye brows done perfectly. I don't know about other artist but I would surely recommend Jenny. read more

I agree I would have to give this place a 0 if I could. Terrible customer service and terrible job on my eyebrows. No care, super fast & aggressive. Considering it wasn't busy and the lady was just sitting on her phone you think she would take her time. It hurt way more than plucking them. And she threaded off half of my eyebrows! She did an absolutely horrific job. she deserves to get fired. read more

Worst experience this was my first time having threading done. Figured give it a try wish i would have kept walking. This lady could barely speak English was difficult to understand her when asking questions. Figured give it a try she took my glasses off, threaded away hurt more than waxing and plucking put together. I left realized 15 min later she forgot to give back my glasses, and when I got home noticed I was bleeding, two cuts on my left eyebrow, I'm starting school in a few days hope that's gone. I tried to call the kurves contact number and it just rings and rings not even an answering machine to leave a message. The lady didn't wash or sanitize her hands after working on me either before doing the next client.
