Not the best acrylics I've ever had but also not the worst. A few nails seem almost like blobs on my finger but the rest are okay. It may have to do with the length I got my nails this time around. Usually I get them much longer so this isn't really a fair test. The price was a bit higher than what I'm used to. I usually pay $25 for a full set. I've been gettin' my 'nails did' here since before I moved to Charleston years ago. The salon is clean, the pedi chairs are comfy and the staff is friendly and unpretentious. I'm not gonna lie, I've never laughed so hard getting a pedicure. These people are downright funny AND good at what they do. Double bonus! As a 'walk-in' for any beauty enhancement service the harsh reality is that, you make the conscious decision to face the risk of disappointment and crappy service. I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed with any service here, and I am ALWAYS a walk-in. Not to mention, I'm relatively picky (ok, really picky) about my nails & hair and expect a 'good job' at minimum. The best thing about this place is the consistent service. I came to creative nails as a first time customer and got white dip powder on my nails. Within 1 hour of leaving my nails began to turn brownish/ yellowish/ grey. I called the next day and the lady who answered told me that they would fix them. I showed up and the guy who did them ( who will not share his name) to tell me they are dirty... I have had white nails before with a matte finish for 8 weeks and they never turned or "got dirty". He then told me he could put gloss finish on them and that was my only option. I cannot receive my money back, including the tip that I gave him. They would not do a different color. I could only be stuck with messed up nails or do white gloss which is not what I wanted. He then proceeded to take my picture and when I ask him to please not to he said he was just taking the picture of my nails... Which were lowered onto the counter and his camera was facing my face. Needless to say I would not be returning to creative nails not only because they would not own up to their mistake but because he also after finishing and taking my picture without my consent he just walked off and left me sitting in the chair. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I would never recommend anyone get any type of service done at creative nails in Mount Pleasant ever. I accidentally stumbled into this place. I originally meant to find another nail salon that I found on Yelp but couldn't find it and this was open. I'm SO glad I got lost. Not only do my nails look AMAZING but the lady next to me had a crying baby, the guy that was doing my nails decided to take the stroller and walk her a bit inside the salon. I didn't mind waiting a little bit since I knew the crying was bothering all the patrons. He got the baby to stop crying and did a FANTASTIC job on my nails. Highly recommend!! read more

I have been going here for my mani, pedi and waxing for a very long time. I read the other reviews and totally disagree. I don't want to sit around, I want in and out so I can go along and do whatever. Yesterday I had my nails done and they did the new dip process which I had done in Texas.... Love it. First time here, walked in no appointment. Very good pedi & gel mani. The massage chairs are new and nice! I signed up for the rewards program- if you pay cash you get 2x the points towards free services . That's pretty cool I thought..... as it turned out it saved me more than money! I left my wallet n the store.... they texted & emailed me that my wallet was left behind. Not to worry they would keep it safe for me. I used to go here regularly, and liked it. They recently expanded though, and I have been disappointed since. Twice I have called ahead and scheduled appointments, and both times when I arrived they had no record of an appointment. Neither time did anyone apologize for this. The tech rinsed the tools she used on me in the water my feet had been soaking in, and put them back in her jar. And when she used the tools at the start, they came from this jar. Does not feel like that is very sanitary. There are so many other nail places around, I won't return here. read more

I would give this store zero stars if it was possible because I am VERY irritated. I'm going to high school next year, and I went to this Salon for the first time in a while. The put me in a child's chair, even though I paid for an adult manicure. It took her 5 minutes to paint my nails. She forgot to put on the second coat of nail polish, and when I reminded her, she said that she put it on. I brought it to her attention again, but she brushed me off. I knew that she could hear me because everyone around me could. After I left the Solon, they charged me for an adult pedicure (although It was not treated like one) and the nail polish was sloppily applied. To be frank, I could have done a better job myself. I have been in search of a great nail salon since I moved here from California. The search is now over after visiting this Creative Nails located in Belle Hall. Tee pleasantly greeted me at the front desk she was very patient and helped me pick out the perfect colors. Not only did she assist me with my selection of nail colors she also informed me of specials and discounts. Tony was my nail technician he did a phenomenal job. He not only catered to my physical needs but also to my mental needs. Tony offered me a beverage which was much needed (due to SC humid and hot weather) and also assured my massage chair setting was perfect. I have not had services like this in a long time he was very meticulous and strategic in cutting my cuticles and polishing my nails. He also played an intricate role in helping me select bling for my neutral colored nails to give them the perfect pop! Although this was my first visit, it would not be my last. read more

Stay away. Customer service is non existent!! Twice made an appointment, first time when I arrived I was told they don't make Sunday appointments so I had to wait over 20 minutes past my appointment time to be taken. Second time I make an appointment with a certain Tech and when I arrive he is not available...they tell me someone else with start my services..well he started and finished them but not at all to my satisfaction. I've been here before a few years back and remember a fabulous experience. This time it was only decent. Props for being clean, courteous and professional. The quality of their products is high but the over quality of service needs a bit of improvement. First, several people spent about 5 minutes trying to figure out what a "gel fill" meant, and ended up doing an acrylic powder fill, which is fine but not what I asked for. The manicure was fast with no hand massage and the edges of my nails are still so sharp and pointy - I will have to fix them myself I guess, which defeats the purpose of getting a manicure. They stayed open about 15 mins late for my Nails to dry which was super nice, but again there is a disconnect between courtesy and quality. The pedicure looks like a four year old did it, with polish everywhere and unevenly spread. I feel like I just wasted $60 and there's nothing I can do about it. read more

Been here many many times..they've expanded and gotten more crowded but lack the organization to handle it. Last time I took my daughter in for a polish change, the woman grabbed the wrong polish for my daughters other hand. When I pointed out her hands didn't match and to please change the polish on her other hand, the girl became very rude and argued with me (not much argument there). Since moving here 4 years ago from Connecticut, I have been trying to find a nice nail salon in Mt. P. Yesterday was my first and last visit to Creative Nails! The staff was very, very rude, the man who did my nails answered not only the salon phone but his personal cell phone numerous times during my service. The woman who gave my daughter her manicure did not have her wash her hands prior to polishing her nails. We had the quickest manicures ever and not even 24 hours later, the polish is already chipping. Total waste of time and money!!!! read more

RIP OFF...PUSHY...RUDE!!! DO NOT waste your time or money here, there are plenty of other honest, appreciative nail salons in Mt. Pleasant!!! I thought I would give them one more chance since I live right around the corner, am a business owner & like to support my local business, but the last several times I have been in they are very pushy & if you politely decline their $20.00 extra "gel" service they continue to ask, treat you like you are an idiot for saying no & then are rude when you continue to decline & seem to rush through the manicure without giving the normal care. I am sad to say I will never return & will be sure not to recommend to others. My teenage daughter got to Creative Nails before I did asking for a manicure & pedicure for 2. When I arrived they had already suggested a deluxe pedicure with gel, $58.00 (which I was told by another Creative Nails salon is really not necessary at all for a pedicure) and a manicure with gel, $35.00. (Ofcouse they did not mention to her that there is such an extra charge) They had already started on her pedicure, but when I suggested she have a manicure without gel, especially since she would have to remove her polish for work on Monday, they told her, after I returned to my seat (they did not seat us together, although I had asked to sit by my daughter so we could talk about her Prom & spend our "pampering' time together) that the regular manicure, $15.00 was not good & would start to chip in a few days. I was having a french manicure & my girl continued to badger me over & over about the gel service as well, as they always do... I have tried many nail salons trying to fine the right one. Creative nails is perfect they have a great staff ( I've had my nails done by almost everyone in there) , the space is clean and I usually always walk and get in without a long wait. Appts are taken vey seriously, when you make one there is rarely ever a wait. I read some of the negative reviews below. Creative nails just switched owners so I think the negative issues are in the past. read more

My daughter, sister, and I had the worst experience at this salon. First of all, the man painting my daughter's nails often stopped his work to send a text or answer a call on his personal phone. She even had to ask him to apply a second coat of nail polish. The nail technicions weren't very attentive to us at all and didn't seem to care about our satisfaction. The absolute WORST service I have ever received. They were extremely rude when I asked them not to scrape my gel nail polish off because it thins my nails. He screamed at me and told me to let him do his job. I told him I did not appreciate being talked to that way and got up and left. He never put any polish on and then wanted me to pay $15. I refused and he called the police. Of course, I never had to pay and the police left. Unbelievable!! What is wrong with business' today.
