I had made an appointment and let them know I was fresh out of knee replacement surgery so no tools please. They understood exactly what I meant. They sat us right away and my technician was already aware of my needs and used a very light touch of a file, then a gentle scrub and lotion before polish. Getting an acrylic set is always a hit or miss no matter where you go due to how thick they can come out, and I do think mine came out a little thicker than I hoped this time. I really like the color I chose and that I got the cats-eye design, but what drops my rating is the price of $150 without tip (for a classic pedi with new gel, acrylic set with gel, and catseye design) and the lesser attention to the small details. I wish all my nails' shape were sharper and less rounded at the tip, and that my thumbnails weren't two different sizes. It's hard to notice those imperfections in the salon so it's unfortunate that I only notice once I leave and came really look at them. Honestly it's the price that gets me. Charleston nail salons overcharge just because of the city. So ask for a price estimate beforehand so you don't look surprised at checkout!

YES, his nails are thick and YES, by going alternating months he definitely needs a heavy trim. The guy was snide and demeaning and quoted an outrageous amount. My husband didn't have time to hunt for another place because, when supporting a person with dementia, you can't just have their schedule be too disrupted. And he didn't how that the quoted price was totally unreasonable. I feel like the demeaning behavior and price gouging was shamefully outrageous.
