Dr. Nelly Montilla is extremely rude and unprofessional. I went in as a new patient for a cleaning. I didn't want any x-rays as I'd already had them done from another dentist about 6 months ago. This seemed to annoy her. While doing my cleaning, she was rough & also made a couple of snide comments. She was even rude to her dental tech. I could tell the tech was also uncomfortable. Dr. Montilla seemed to take her annoyance out on me by being excessively rough while doing the cleaning. She also put a lot of numbing gel on my gums without asking! I couldn't believe she did that. I've never had a dentist automatically apply numbing gel for a simple cleaning. Looking back, I wish I had left in the middle of the cleaning. I didn't leave because she seemed bitter and petty. I was concerned she would bill my insurance for a full cleaning if I had left. I took this a lesson learned. I will never return to her. read more

I've very surprised by all the 5-star ratings. I came based on the reviews, but my experience wasn't wonderful, amazing or great like I've read. I never enjoyed manual cleanings and Dr. Montilla proved it. It would be nice if Dentist's asked your pain level instead of assuming you can tolerate sharp objects against your teeth that makes your gums bleed. She uses numbing cream for a reason. She has a heavy hand; I'm often surprised when women Dentists are rough. Now I know why some people are scared to get cleanings. And just a note, Dentist shouldn't make remarks on the shape or size of your teeth. You were fearfully and wonderfully made. God created your mouth that way. Now, if you want adjustments, be my guess, but your Dentist shouldn't make any comments! read more

I have been coming here for year's excellent customer service and they are good with kids.

Front office is terrible. Tried to give me receipt for services never performed and he was upset he needed to correct. Got my dental statement in mail today and sure enough they tried billing for x-rays never performed. Fraudulent charging.! Luckily, I had him correct receipt but who knows how many times before they did this and also who knows how many people. Will never come back to this office again. Not honest people. read more

Tanisha - I get that the schedule was full and was not able to accommodate me with a same-day appointment IF I was just looking for a cleaning/check-up ... but this was a broken and exposed tooth that, luckily I was able to find a place that was able to see me right away. It turned out to be badly infected and needed an emergency root canal. On top of that, the guy that I talked to had the most uncaring blase attitude and didn't seem to care about the issues that I was attempting to describe. He continued to talk over me and proceed to tell me what was happening. I tried to correct him several times until I finally gave up. I have been in the customer services and retail industries for well over 30 years, training small and medium companies as well as training employees of some fortune 500 companies. I can tall you that your employee that answered the phone and talked to me the way he did, would not have lasted long in most businesses dealing with the public. Her office was the first of what I consider a luxurious office, I feel spoiled every time I go. The protective glasses for the light, the TV's, the headphones. I was in bad condition I needed fillings, filling repairs, maybe 4 root canals, and of course their crowns, deep cleaning .... and even a few missing teeth replaced. She has been the BEST DENTIST I have ever had in my life. Her skill and knowledge is above average, her patience and understanding of my financial abilities are taken into consideration. I've been going here because it has been convenient but the Dr here doesn't have the best way of speaking to you. She can come off rude. She also always seems like she cleans your teeth in a hurry. My recent visit she cut my lip with one of the tools. I bleed and ended up with a fat lip. I was very upset! Jessica and Dr. Montilla are great! The office is clean, they have TVs to keep you distracted, headphones to help cancel out the drilling noise and glasses to help the bright light from blinding you. She answers all my questions, showed me pictures when I asked and doesn't make you feel rushed. Jessica also explained to me my billing/ insurance stuff which was helpful. Highly recommend this place. Just a heads up, parking can be a mess so give yourself enough time for that. read more

I love Creative Smiles because Dr. Montilla is very organized, clean, and thorough not to mention she does a great job making the office hospitable with krueig coffee. I also love the complimentary paraffin wax that I always get when I come in. You also get sunglasses to make sure you're not blinded by the light and headphones when a procedure is happening so you don't have to listen to all the drilling. The office is in the same plaza as Starbucks by the library. There is always parking available in the lot. Coming here has made going to the dentist easy. I normally hate going, but Dr. Montilla is a pleasure. She has comfy chairs and a tv. They even have headphones so the sound of the tools won't bother you. I never thought I would be happy with my dentist office. This is the first time in my life I don't mind needing to go to the dentist. The doctor and staff are so friendly, the office is modern and clean. I never once had to wait in the front I am always seen right away at the time of my appointment. They truly take every extra effort to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. One day I went they actually gave me a paraffin wax hand treatment. Is this a dentist office or spa?! amazing. The thing I was most in love with when I first came here is that they put Vaseline on your lips so they don't dry out. Why doesn't every dentist do this? Its the little things. At first I thought this place was great. Would always get my teeth cleaning and everything. Then I found out Dr. Montilla was cheating us with our health insurance and charge us instead of our health insurance. Dr. Montilla seems nice at first but is unprofessional. She's condescending to her assistants as well as to her CUSTOMERS. She would yell at her assistants which is no way to treat anyone in a work environment. How can you learn when you're being yelled at for everything you do?? She would put me down and make unnecessary remarks and comments about me. read more

The bathroom is clean because they keep it that way. There are many places to go near the office including one of my favorites, starbucks. You can feel the true joy that is inside the office and Dr. Montilla teaches every worker to do their best and gets the best out of them. The workers are also nice and professional as well. Creative smiles is flexible and will find a time that is perfect for you to come. I have been going here since I was a little kid and will continue to go here because of the great experience I have been through every time I come.
