I called to get some advice on an air leak in the line on my pond/ water feature. I was told it was a $500.00 minimum service fee then $125.00 afterwards plus parts. It is filled with beautiful fountains, statues and coy ponds. I purchased a fountain from them about 7 years ago. I haven't done any maintenance on it and it is crusted with mineral deposits and small pinpoint holes in the cement. I traveled 1 1/2 hrs. to Escalon to seek out help for maintenance and questions about sealing it. The man behind the counter was really rude to me and just kept saying (about 5 times) that they were a cement contractor company and said their cement had a sealant in it and it didn't look like it was crumbling to him. He said to use a dish cleaning brush on it. REALLY!!!! He needs to do some homework and learn some manners. Won't ever be back. read more

We took a specific road trip to get here from Sacramento, and was more impressed with this place than I had ever expected! The grounds are so peaceful and beautifully landscaped with walking paths, flowers, greenery, statuary and best of all - ponds and fountains! Creative Water Gardens fulfilled my fantasy of taking a relaxing and peaceful stroll through displays of unique water features. When you step through the entrance way, the sounds of trickling water almost puts you into a Zen like mood as you wander from walkway to walkway gazing at the beautiful displays of water features, statues and pottery. The smallest of yards can be turned into a place of interest and a peaceful retreat, because this business has so many styles and sizes of fountains that can be incorporated into any yard or patio. That's what I loved about this place! The store centered within the grounds has everything you need to get things started, complete with knowledgeable staff. They had all sizes of pumps, filters, lighting and electrical kits in stock for every type of set up desired. Not only that, but the store also had decorative items for yard and home. Even the care of pond fish, complete with a fish diagnostic center! Joe K and I really had a very nice time visiting here. And while he was talking to a pond expert for advice, I got to walk around the entire area at least three times just to make sure I didn't miss anything! I love having water features in my back yard. I already have five fountains and it isn't enough. I have dreams of a small pond full of shabunkin goldfish and a small waterfall. I thought I was going to get to realize this dream last year so I was looking for a place to help me figure out the equipment I needed in order to have the proper water flow for the waterfall and for easy maintenance. After a little searching I found Creative Gardens on the internet. It was over an hour away but there just are not that many places that specialize in helping people set up their own ponds and waterfalls. I found a couple in the greater Sacramento area but I did not feel comfortable using them so we decided to take a drive to Escalon. Creative Water Gardens has a really nice display of waterfalls, fountains, figurines, and plants along with a friendly staff that, while eager to help, is in no way aggressive or pushy. I talked to someone that had a great working knowledge of the equipment I need and while I unfortunately have not been able to start the project, I look forward to working with him when the time comes. Prices are a little higher than I can get on the internet but I am more than willing to pay a few extra dollars for customer service and to help a local business. read more

DO NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT AT ALL!!! CAN NOT TRUST THEIR WORD! After purchasing an item from this company, we discovered that the product was damaged and had a small leak at the base of the fountain. I worked with the "Manager James Jones" and I was told that he was communicating with the owner of the business. James sent me a confirmation email that he received from manufacturer that the replacement piece be shipped out. The shipping would take approx. 2-3 weeks to come in which I was willing to wait. Approx. 1.5 weeks later I got a call from James Jones explaining to me that nothing has been done yet and that if I wanted the replacement piece that I would need to pay for that as well. So as of now the company is refusing to return or replace the item and I am stuck with a fountain that leaks. I would use extreme caution when dealing with this company and make sure that you get them to put in writing the product is guaranteed because they really don't care once you have paid and have the product. read more

had been to this place many years ago and was lucky to have my brother remind that they had beautiful fountains and lawn sculpture pieces. They were reopening after winter and a wind storm that had the place looking less than stellar. Everyone super nice and helpful. We found a perfect Henri fountain and a couple of fun and beautiful pieces for the back yard. Delivery was professionally don and they also hauled away the old fountain that was enormous and awkward. I had an issue with my small backyard pond today. The staff knew exactly what I needed to fix my problem. One suggestion was to check my uv light. As I didn't know how to take it apart I made a second trip. They were very courteous and explained my options without any high pressure sales. I did end up buying a new light/pump combination. The "owner" joe Garnica, based on my experience and dealing with him, engages in questionable business practices. He left our backyard in worse shape than it was. The Artifical turf install is a total gut job! I had two licensed professional installers, with a c27 license come out and BOTH of them said there were so many mistakes in installation that the entire job, including the substrate had to be gutted and redone. The manufacturer sent out a inspector and he came to the same conclusion. Every time I tried calling joe, he always came up with an excuse. The last time he was at my house, I pointed out all the errors in install. He is immediately blamed his crew and threw them under the bus. He then raises his voice and tells me, "I'm not replacing the turf. Period. Report me to the licensing board for all I care." read more

Manager said one thing by email (which I have) then does another thing and says that's it, we are not willing to repair or replace the item you bought. You should have inspected it better is what he said. But the entire fountain was on a pallet and crated for travel, assured me, actually said "I guarantee there is nothing wrong with this fountain. Wound up leaving without any plants as one staff member was doing paperwork and unable to help, a second staff member was called out to help. I wanted to xeriscape my front yard and get rid of my grass. I went to Joe's beautiful nursery/store and spoke with him about the job and picked out some truly unique plants. One thing I loved about the process was that Joe made sure I got the plants that would work the best for my yard. If I picked something that wouldn't work he was very open with telling me why it was wrong, but left it my choice. When I got the estimate I was pleasantly surprised and was able to include a fountain, which I had thought I couldn't afford. The job, which included tree removal, grass removal, digging trenches for electrical, making mounds for the dry creek bed, placing boulders, 2 loads of rock, a drip water system, digging hole and placing the fountain, was completed in 7 working days. I was impressed with everyone on the team but particularly with Pedro and his guys... such hard workers! I highly recommend Joe and Creative Water Gardens. read more
