While I was exploring Discovery Island, I stumbled across Creature Comforts at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Creature Comforts is a quick service café that offers pastries and drinks. It's the official Starbucks location for the park, making it a great stop for some coffee and a snack while exploring the theme park! You'll find Creature Comforts near the bridge leading towards the Safari Ride, near the Northwest side of Discovery Island. The interior is cozy! It has a lot of wood and stone, nature inspired décor and plenty of space to sit down! Since this is a Starbucks location, there are a variety of options from espresso based drinks, iced coffees, teas, and blended beverages. Creature Comforts also has Disney themed bakery items and seasonal snacks. This is one of the best quick service spots in Animal Kingdom to grab a quick bite and to take a break. You can also get the Mickey Cinnamon Roll here too! Creature Comforts is typically open as soon as early access is available for the Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you're looking for some breakfast, Creature Comforts is a great place to stop by in the morning before it gets busy. If you're a Starbucks rewards member, you can use the Starbucks app or gift card, but you cannot redeem free drink rewards at this location. 4 stars I've been to all the Starbucks in all 4 parks and this one has to be the friendliest and fastest one. Of course, my mom and I couldn't resist morning coffees and their park-specific Starbucks' collectible mug! The mug was a gorgeous forest-y green with gold metallic accents...just darling. The coffee orders were made well and they gave a lot of ice waters. None of the foods really appealed to us but, if I remember correctly, they had some 50th anniversary cupcakes available there. Despite the name, this is essentially serves as a Starbucks with a little extra. There is a central line that leads up to the registers. Right before you head of to an available register, you can grab some prepackaged desserts and snacks. During our February 2023 visit, my friend and I ordered the 50th Celebration Micky Mousse Dome. It's a Chocolate Brownie Base with Gold-dusted Chocolate Sprinkles, and a Birthday Cake-flavored Mousse with Gold-dusted Mickey Ears and a Gold-dusted 50th Anniversary Medallion. It tasted good and looked pretty, but it wasn't anything extraordinary. You can pay using your Starbucks app at this location. A fully-functioning Starbucks! Got my usual Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino flavor in this cafe/bakery. The lines were long as to be expected on a hot day. This is a counter service shop that serves Starbucks specialty drinks as well as artisan breakfast sandwiches, snacks, and house-made Disney pastries and baked goods (cookies, cupcakes, etc). It is located in Discovery Island, just next to the land of Africa. We wouldn't have known it was a coffee shop until we saw the Starbucks name under the store name. To me "Creature Comforts" just doesn't sound like a place that served food. They should rename it to something more appropriate like "Animal Kingdom Starbucks" that way when we look at the busy park map the title sticks out. Wouldn't you agree? Anyway, that's just my opinion. We collected reward points with our purchases like a normal Starbucks, but we couldn't redeem our free drinks from our completed rewards card through their loyalty program at any of the Walt Disney World location. Not bad for a Starbucks. I don't go h less we are in the parks and they have a fun dessert. This time, I needed some caffeine and this pumpkin cheese cake brownie concoction. It. Was. Amazing. The cheesecake brownies are in the front before you go to a register, so be sure to grab one there before you order a drink (if you are ordering a drink) With the social distancing, it can be awkward to keep everyone apart but the cast is doing their best. Surprise! It's a Starbucks. I'm actually grateful this is in AK, because sometimes you just need a reliable caffeine fix. I wish there were indoor seating here, but there are a couple tables out front. Still, in the Florida heat and humidity, that's no consolation. If you want to rest your weary feet in A/C, the closest place I can think of is Satu'Li in Pandora. This location has four registers and two lines, which move much, much faster than the Starbucks on Main Street in Magic Kingdom and never get as long. While your order is taken very quickly, there is still only one pickup area per side (the two lines diverge left and right). I've waited about two minutes before and then around eight minutes for my drinks. It really depends on the hustle behind the counter. If you want ice water, there are two dispensers along the left wall with small plastic cups. I'm a little iffy on these, however, because a lady took the top off of one and dipped her whole cup in to get some of the ice out right in front of me. Super disgusting and rude. If you ask the cashier for water, they will direct you to the dispenser, even if you ask for a normal-sized cup. Anyway, I love that the SB inside Disney are real and not the "we proudly serve" locations you find in Busch Gardens. This means you can pay with your SB app and earn stars. That said, the purchases don't always count toward any SB games going on (hopscotch, bingo, etc.) If you need a caffeine fix, a sweet or savory treat, or a sugar bomb drink, this is the place to go. read more

Small, but cute little gift shop. I love the wooden animals they have as decor inside this shop. Plushes, t-shirts, autograph books, toys, etc. can be found here. There's a little something for those of all ages to be found here, but not a lot of any one thing for a particular age group. This cozy spot is a Starbucks location with a Disney twist. There offer all the drinks one could want from the chain, but also have pastries, souvenirs, and Disney collectibles. Check out the park themed cupcakes. All 4 of the parks in Orlando have a "You are Here" park themed mug and ornament. I have made it a point to collect all of them! That also make great gifts for someone that's an avid Starbucks fan. They are quick to take your order here, but getting your drink is where the bottle neck hits. Creature Comforts is part of the whole Starbucks integration project that Disney took on a few years ago. A coffee/quick service shop in each of the parks was converted to sell Starbucks products. Here in Animal Kingdom, that such hybrid is Creature Comforts. CC follows in suit with the other Starbucks locations in the other parks. Theres a queue area with a variety of Disney and bux treats. I went mid afternoon so there wasn't too much of a line - I was in and out relatively quickly. It's Starbucks. I don't drink coffee but my friend does so we have been making a daily stop at the various Starbucks locations within Disney each day. I'm going to say that the cashiers have all been super friendly and they have the typical Starbucks coffee items as well as some pastries, bottled juice, etc. But the people who are finishing the drinks and calling out the orders just seem so miserable and frustrated. In my experience, Starbucks at Disney has been the worst of any dining I've had. It's not exclusive to this location since the one in Magic Kingdom was even worse. The design or flow is not great. There is always a huge crowd of customers waiting for their name to be called and with people who need their caffeine "fix", it's not a pleasant scene. If Disney opened more smaller kiosk locations around the park it might help with the long wait times and subsequently less cranky guests. I'm just glad I don't have this addiction to caffeine or in particular Starbucks so I don't have to be subject to this scene on a regular basis. read more

This Starbucks feels really really out of place in Animal Kingdom. It's the only spot in any of the parks that takes you out of the immersion and magic of Disney right back into daily reality. I do love that the branding is hidden more than the Epcot and Hollywood Studios Starbucks. I prefer Joffrey's when I'm at Disney, but the baristas here are really friendly and do a good job. This is a Starbucks inside animal kingdom. They did a good job of keeping patrons socially distanced. They have typical Starbucks drinks and food items. I got a pumpkin spice latte (I know... basic), and my husband and I both got bacon Gouda sandwiches. They were good like always. The one thing I didn't like were the birds that were scavenging all around us. Some people were giving them food, and I am sure it happens all the time. DO NOT FEED THE BIRDS!!!! No one wants to be pestered by wild birds while drinking their latte. Especially not people afraid of birds like me. Besides the birds, it was a pleasant typical Starbucks that had a safari theme. Starbucks in Disney is the perfect marriage. It keeps me caffeinated in the parks so that I can stay energized all day, especially since I usually explore Walt Disney World's theme parks from open to close when I'm there on vacation (I can rest when I'm back at home). Since I've reviewed the other 3 Starbucks locations across the Disney Parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios), it's only fitting that I complete the circuit with a review of Creature Comforts at Disney's Animal Kingdom. To be honest, I've only been to this location once (hard to believe), but I think I'll be heading here more often in the future. My friends and I decided to rope-drop Flight of Passage first thing in the morning, and by the time we were off the attraction (~9:30am), it was definitely time for coffee. We stopped by Creature Comforts on the way to Africa (halfway between Pandora and Africa when traveling through Discovery Island) and were greeted by a long wait... not surprising for this time of day. Nevertheless, the double-queue/double-bar system helped keep the line moving quickly. Within 10 minutes, we had our drinks and were ready to head to our next attraction, Kilimanjaro Safaris. Aside from the fact that this location is another full-service Starbucks (serving everything you'd find at a local Starbucks in your home town from different coffee roasts to Frappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, espressos, cappuccinos and more), the other thing I love is the Cast Members! As always, they take your Starbucks experience to the next level with truly wonderful service (they even get your name right, and will ask how to spell it if there's multiple ways to spell it, e.g. Joanna vs. Johanna or Matthew vs. Mathew). Delicious coffee? Check. Savory breakfast pastries and sandwiches? Check. Disney attention to detail? Check. Exceptional Cast Member service? Check. Low prices? Surprise!!!! Creature Comforts is actually Starbucks!! There are two lines to choose from when ordering but both offer the same items. The staff is very efficient! Don't get in line until you know for sure what you want. I ordered a black tea along with a Gouda and egg breakfast sandwich. My sandwich was steaming hot and the bread was wicked soft. Everything came out very quickly. The downside to this location is that there isn't a lot of seating. Nothing is available inside but there are about 5 tables outside. That's great if you're just grabbing a drink to go but if you're there to wait for people on a ride it can be irritating not to have the space. Otherwise this is your typical Starbucks but with biodegradable straws because it's better for the environment at Animal Kingdom. read more

The same experience of a Starbucks: quick, simple (if you know what to order ;), and good quality. Creature Comforts has a nice atmosphere and good service as well! I came here twice in one day (even more if you count just getting water). The first time, I ordered a Mocha Frappuccino and a Ham and cheese breakfast sandwich. The second time, I ordered a Cinnamon Dolce Iced Latte. Everything was good. I'm a little tired of ordering a Mocha Frappe, but it was delicious as always. The breakfast sandwich was just heaven. The iced latte I ordered later in the day was good too, but since I ordered a Venti, I could not drink all of it. (I am a coffee addict, but a Venti is too much for me). Water is free here, and at every Starbucks in the world. Here, they have water containers on the side so you can fill it up yourself. So all you need to do is ask for a cup of ice when ordering or at the pick-up area. Overall, I would definitely come here again when I return to Animal Kingdom. read more

Okay, so basically it's Starbucks with a Disney twist. Nothing extremely special about it beyond that, the drinks were good and overpriced just like Starbucks. That gets them 3 stars. The extra two stars they get is for the extra attention they paid to my drink when I let them know I had a milk allergy. My drink was made by a totally separate person and not handled by any body else. He came out to talk to us before making it to clarify the severity of allergy. I cannot tell you the peace of mind that gave me. I have had my drink made with regular milk by accident at Starbucks so many times that I watch them like a hawk when they're making my drink. Go either when the park first opens or later in the day. My dad and I went around 10:30, and the line started out the door. We waited about 30 minutes. No complaints on service, just wish that less people had caffeine addictions like me lol. I am collecting coffee mugs from each park & this is the only place to get the Animal Kingdom one. It's $16.99 but you get a discount if you have an annual pass (not for the drinks)! Come here anytime any one of my family members needs a fix! Starbucks at Disney animal kingdom... Glad disney has a Starbucks on each of their park location because you will need a Boost after walking through the parks and waiting the long lines. Like any other Starbucks friendly and quick service. I just hate the paper staws they have now. I know it's better for the environment but 3/4 thru my frap i had to get another staw and again when i had 1/4 left because it got soggy. Good: colossal cinnamon roll Bad: customer service We are on the Disney Dining Plan and the symbol for a snack item was located on the card for the roasted ham and swiss sandwich. I ordered it and was told that it os a quick service item. I kindly said that it has the sign for a snack and she immediately brought out the manager. He came, and I told him the same thing: the symbol for a snack was on the sign for the sandwich. He went to look at it, pulled the sign out of the display case and looked up at the main menu (which doesn't have food listed) to double check. He then came back and said that the symbol only means it's eligible for the dining plan. I told him that that's not true, everywhere else (including the Walt Disney World website) it meant snack. He shrugged it off and said nope. He then removed the sign from the display case and the cashier continued with our order while rolling her eyes and acting like we were inconveniencing her. As an annual Pass Holder at Disneyland (Ca) and a gold card member of Starbucks, I have NEVER been so disappointed and frustrated with anything holding the Disney or Starbucks name, or been treated so poorly by their staff. The least he could have done was honor the fact that the symbol said the sandwich was a snack and changed it after I placed my order. Or even apologize and say it was a mistake. But after acting like it was my fault, he flat out lied about the facts set forth by Walt Disney World Resort. After all that, they forgot about the gluten free sandwich my brother in law ordered, causing an even longer wait time and my sister's drink tastes "off" as if the ingredients weren't fresh.
