Before the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, my family and I ended up stopping by Joffrey's Coffee at the American Pavilion. Our dining package showtime was around 6:30, so we ended up stopping by around 6:10 to pick up a few drinks before the show. It was pretty chilly outside, below 55 in the evening for our Candlelight Processional show with Gloria Estefan narrating the show. The service was pretty quick at Joffrey's. My daughter and I ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream. Joffrey's also offers a variety of snacks like large donuts! We opted not to eat anything since we ate at the Garden Grill Restaurant earlier in the day. If you're looking for a quick drink like coffee, or a snack like donuts or pastries, Joffrey's Coffee has it! I'm glad we stopped by here for some hot drinks before the show!

Joffrey's has five locations around EPCOT, today we chose the one just after Italy but before America. For just under $7 they have either a frozen cappuccino or a frozen lemonade, I asked for a 2/3 cappuccino and 1/3 frozen lemonade. It was so good! This was perfect on a 95+ degree day when I was out walking to get my 5+ miles (now I not saying I didn't just blow all those calories on this drink but it was really good). The service was fast and no line compared to the one at the Joffrey's over by the UK. Do note at the one here they do not have any syrups due to an increase in bees! So, if you like your lattes with caramel, vanilla, etc...perhaps get your coffee at one of the other kiosks for now. Go! Enjoy! ;)

    Another donut stand!

They will always have a line, but they are worth the wait. We did not have to virtual queue this time and only stood in line about 20 minutes. They gave us menu sheets of their current cookies to look at while we were in line. We tried the PB Crunch, Pistachio Toffee, and Banana Bread Chocolate Chip this time. I really don't think I could pick a favorite because they were all so different. I will be returning to try one of their cake slices someday!

We don't typically eat the cookies when we get them, we take them home and have them later that evening or the next day. Anyway, I opened it the next day and unfortunately, my pistachio toffee did not make it but rather a peanut butter cookie! I was so bummed out, no one is going to eat that in this house. Anyhow, I knocked two stars down because of the staff when we entered. The employees that were choosing the cookies seemed very upset and irritated, and there were no smiles out of them whatsoever. My cashier was wonderful, but just made for a strange experience since they are your first point of contact. I also noticed that the peanut butter cold brew was a little more on the sweeter side this time, so I'm not sure if the quality has dropped down or if someone just was in a rush when they made it. If this is the case, I probably won't be coming back here or maybe their focus has been going to their other restaurant six ravens. I have not been yet but will try it one day. I don't know if this was an off day, but the ambience definitely killed my vibe! Super bummed about the wrong cookie too! The receipt even had the correct ones. Oh well!

There's almost always a line, but it moves fairly quickly, and honestly, it's part of the experience. You can watch the bakers adding the final, intricate touches to each dessert while you wait, which is really fun to see. They do offer a small selection of croissant sandwiches and specialty beverages, but for us, it's all about the desserts. From their signature creations to seasonal offerings, everything is visually stunning and (most of the time) absolutely delicious. That said, while most items are fresh and flavorful, we have experienced a few cakes that were a bit dry and seemed over baked. It's not the norm, but worth mentioning. Anyone else experience this? Yes, it's a little pricey--but it's Disney, and you're paying for both the quality and the experience. Overall, it's still one of our favorite stops every trip and well worth it if you're in the area.

They had a lot of different themed blends with really nice packaging, and honestly I wanted to buy more, but it's hard to justify grabbing multiple bags at that price when you don't know if you'll actually like them. One thing I noticed was that the coffee was only available pre-ground in store, with no whole bean option. I asked one of the employees and they confirmed that whole bean coffee is only available online. I brewed this in a French press. The bag mentions notes of apple, caramel, and cinnamon. I could definitely smell it while drinking the coffee, especially the apple and cinnamon, but I didn't really taste them all that much in the actual coffee. However, it was very easy to drink. This was much lighter than the coffees I normally drink, with almost no bitterness. Nothing fancy, just a smooth cup of coffee that was enjoyable to drink black. One thing I wish Joffrey's offered was a way to try the coffees before committing to a bag. With so many different blends, it would be nice if they had sample jars of the grounds to smell, small tasting samples, or even brewed versions of the specialty blends available to order. Instead, they only had a limited selection of roasts and teas available for take out. A lot of the bags sound interesting, but you're mostly buying based on the description and hoping for the best. Overall, I enjoyed this one and would consider picking up another bag on a future Disney trip. The next blends I'd be interested in trying are Snow White's Just One Bite, Daisy Duck Lavender, and Tiana's Bayou Beignet.

The Cookie Bar at summer house serves as a nice AC'd respite if you are trying to evade the summer heat and humidity. They have a few tables inside and you can also get a nice beverage in addition to the cookies. The cookie bar is impressive in and of itself. There are cookies stacked on cookies displaying like 20 different kinds. I was tempted to get the Thai banana one and the seasonal cherry pie one, but alas, I got the smores. We ordered the Quiche Lorraine, filled with ham and Gruyere cheese which they warmed up before serving. The buttery, flaky crust gave way to a rich, silky custard that was packed with savory flavor. The macaron shells had a delicate crisp exterior with a soft, chewy center, while the filling delivered a bright combination of tart raspberry and refreshing lime.
