We have brought our dog here for numerous stays and wow. They are absolutely incredible. We had him stay over the July fourth weekend while my wife and I were out of town. They followed our medication regiment exactly how we asked and they even turned on the music to help the pups be calm during fireworks. You can request hikes for your dog too. BUT. One of my favorite things they did is that on a day that was way too hot for a dog, they chose not to walk our dog. It makes it so easier to vacay when you can trust where your dog stays. 10/10 would recommend here ! read more

I've been doing a bit more business travel lately, which has made the question of what to do with my dogs (3 standard poodles) a point of stress -- no longer. Creature Comforts is a nice facility in west Loveland, practically in the foothills. Most importantly, it is run by people who love dogs, which was very apparent when I picked my dogs up. Sure, they were happy to see me, but were happy and bright -- they didn't seem stressed at all (and yes, there have been occasions where I've come home to find clingy, seemingly attention-starved dogs when I've picked them up from other boarding facilities in Ft. Collins). Some other nice details: * they have a larger "family" kennel that can accommodate multiple dogs from the same household, so my 3 poodles were able to board together at a very reasonable cost. * The kennels are truly indoor-outdoor kennels so that during the day your dogs have free access in or out -- they are not cooped-up in the kennel the majority of the time as you will find at other kennels that do not have this indoor-outdoor access. * There is a caretaker on-site 24x7 -- with a breed that is prone to bloat (a medical emergency that often occurs in the middle of the night & that has considerable morbidity/mortality if not treated quickly) it is good to know that someone will be there, and that with my pre-authorization they will be taken to a vet to get help. * They will give you dogs medication/supplements at no additional cost -- quite a contrast to the place that not only was going to charge extra for administering meds, but wanted a note from my vet saying that my older poodle was safe to board. * For a very reasonable ($2.50-$3.50) cost, you can set-up short, well-supervised playtimes or walks around the property for your dogs. Having a choice was really nice, since my older dog does need to get out for exercise, but has back and neck issues that make me worry about her playing with other dogs. The younger dogs are rough-and-tumble types, so the playtime was perfect for them. * They keep track of how your dogs are doing. You'll get a little report card when you pick your dogs up with notes on things you might have worried about while you were away -- whether they were eating, how they behaved, whether they played well with other dogs. If you have occasion to talk to the owner, she'll know how your dogs did during their stay, too. * Check-out was very organized -- all of the stuff (beds, blankets, toys, food, medication, etc.) were neatly piled in the lobby when I walked-in to pick up my dogs, washable items having been freshly-laundered. read more

Heard about them through a fantastic dog day care place. Have brought our precious dog to several different kennels in the area over last 12 years. This is very professional outfit.. They keep a folder on our pet and know our dog well. When I had concern about diet/amount of food feed, they pulled out the folder and referenced our dog's appetite and demeanor, etc. I felt we were leaving our dog in great hands, so we could enjoy our vacation. They do great job grooming as well. Worth the drive to get there from Fort Collins. We had our dog to to Canine Learning Center for several years and they are top notch dog lovers, so their referral comes highly valued. read more

I can't say enough about Creature Comforts! I recently moved back to Colorado and my house isn't ready to be moved into yet so I've been crashing on family's couches. Unfortunately my dog, Worf, wasn't able to stay with me so I read reviews and settled on Creature Comforts for my little (big) boy. He LOVES IT! He's so happy when we leave - I feel bad taking him away. The staff is incredible - they are so flexible and don't seem to mind when I change my mind about every other day. Worf loves his daily hikes and adores his caretakers. They obviously love him too, which makes me feel so at ease leaving him here. There's only one place I'll board my dog, and this is it. I just adopted my pup snow and he is part husky with serious separation anxiety and talks a lot. He had a wonderful time there, they took him for walks and he played with other dog. I was so worried I'd get a call that he was just not having any of it but when I picked him up he was calm, relaxed and happy. I think being there actually relaxed him a bit. They are now my go to doggy vacation. The facility is very nice, smells good and is quite large with big fences around the outdoor area for the dogs to play. read more

Recently moved to Colorado and had to leave our two goldens for five nights while we traveled. We normally have petsitters and keep the dogs at home, but we haven't been able to find someone yet. This is an extremely professionally-run operation. We took the tour beforehand and turned in the dogs' vet paperwork in advance so drop off was easy (except for the emotional part of saying goodbye!). Upon our return our dogs' beds and possessions were clean and stacked and we even got a "report card" that outlined what their stay was like and how they behaved. The staff was friendly and obviously love dogs. I feel like our dogs got personal attention from people who know how much attention and affection dogs separated from their owners need. read more

They are the beat. We have been taking our 3 Labs to them fir the past 5 years since we moved to the area. They were more than happy to allow us to view the Kennel area...VERY CLEAN....and were given all the requested information we needed to make the decision to use them during all our travel time. We have left them for up to 3 weeks and when we go out the next time, the dogs are thrilled and lead us back to their usual LARGE kennel, tails wagging all the way! Wonderful place! read more

I already wrote a Google review, but I can't praise these folks highly enough. Our dogs come back looking happy and healthy, unlike our experience with other dog boarding places. It's lovely inside and the folks who work there are exceptionally friendly and kind. The second time we left our dogs with then, not only did they take great care of the dogs again, but Terry also stayed after hours so that we could come pick up our dogs when we were delayed in traffic from the airport, AND they gave us a discount for being returning customers. We have been customers of this facility for over eight years and tolerated the tweaks of a change in ownership a few years ago. We were always impressed with their organization and the dogs never minded going. But this last visit was horrible. We informed the intake person that we would be picking up our dogs late on Sunday rather than on Monday morning which she noted on the dogs' activity sheets. When I arrived there was a nervous flurry of activity to get the dogs ready and was greeted with urine soaked (I mean soaked through) beds, bags of dog food that had not been given to the dogs during their stay, and was overcharged for hikes and walks (five hikes when they were there four days?) When my older dog was brought down she immediately squatted and peed on the floor, something she never does, and an indication (along with the urine-sodden beds) that they not only did not have the promised and paid for kennel run, but were not allowed out of their crate(?) to even urinate. I am extremely disappointed and angry that my dogs were clearly neglected. read more
