Everything went so smoothly and right away I saw great improvement in my cat. They also give your kitty a free toy after the appointment which is a sweet thing to do. Also this time I had them trim her toenails (I am done doing it and hurting my puppy) so nice to have all kinds of services available and at reasonable prices. They quoted us one rate ($120 for 2 nights) then us charged double ($245) due to surprise fees they added after we picked up our pup. They added a special "holiday rate" for 4th of July weekend, charged to give her thyroid pill with her food, even tacked on a late pickup fee even though picked her up 30 min early. Was this a miscommunication? No. We were quoted $60/night, confirmed it when dropping her off, confirmed the pickup time, and paid the 50% down up front. The additional charges weren't added until after picking her up. We're told it's because of the new ownership. It's not legal or ethical to quote one rate then charge another arbitrarily after the fact. If they want to raise their rates, they should be honest and up front about it. This used to be an animal rescue as well as a kennel. We'd go out of our way to use and support them. We still like the people that work there, who joined when it was a rescue and love working with animals. Unfortunately all the animals are gone now, no longer a rescue, and even as a kennel, the trust is gone. It's a sad sense of loss.
