The last two times there hasn't been one - whatever. Annoying for the amount of money they pay. Especially, because Cali didn't have a bow for Christmas pictures when she was groomed at that time ... :( We've also wanted a consistent person come to the house because our dogs are extremely picky/anxious! However, that has also not been held up as we've continuously had different groomers. Today - after my parents paid and tipped the company they told my mom that my greyhound fell off the table and they put hydrogen peroxide on it. Eli has an open wound that is bleeding, bruising, and he's limping. Not to mention they had an additional groomer today because they were training someone. There should have been at least one hand on Eli??? He's a greyhound rescue - they have been grooming him for a while they know his actions and behaviors. If there's two of you why was Eli able to fall of the table - was nobody watching? In a small van.... please. After Cindy called my mother - we were expecting an apology and would reconsider our frustration. BUT she tried to justify that he's hurt and said "Christina, put this where it should be" as if it should ever sit well. She said he's a nervous dog and has done this before. Why haven't I heard this before?! Because he's nervous it's his fault he's hurt?! Take your business elsewhere.

It was easy to schedule a "meet and greet" with Amy and Andrew, who are visiting our two dogs (a quiet 9-year old and a 5-year old with attitude; both sighthounds) about 3 times a week. Since then Amy and Andrew have taken care of our pups for the past month or so. They are both responsible and have the kind of calm personality that all dogs feel comfortable being around. They've followed all our instructions, provided very detailed updates and pictures, and taken good care of our doggies. So far I am very pleased with the service. We love our dogs like children and feel good about entrusting Amy and Andrew with their care.

After spending three nights at an emergency vet, with countless tests and mounting bills, Brown was only getting worse. I truly thought I was going to lose him. Desperate and scared, I reached out to my breeder, Sean Donovan (Friendly Kittens) who urged me to see Dr. Campbell at Blue Ridge. From the moment we walked in, I felt hope for the first time. Dr. Campbell didn't just treat Brown -- she saw him. She understood the urgency and handled everything with such care, focus, and professionalism. She didn't sugar coat things which I appreciated. Within 24 hours of her treatment, Brown started eating again. He got up and walked around. After days of watching him fade, seeing those small signs of life brought me to tears. I am a disabled veteran and I accidentally cut my 12-year-old service dog's nail too short, reaching the quick, causing it to bleed. After trying some home remedies, I was unable to stop the bleeding, and knowing the reputation of BRVA, I knew where I needed to go. They have taken care of my other dog in the past and I could not have been more pleased with the previous treatment. I arrived at their Emergency clinic at about 9pm, and was immediately seen by LVT Deb and Hillary Haag, both of which were fantastic and helped put my nerves at ease as I was freaking out about my service dog, as I carried her in with a bloody foot. We were then seen by Dr. Estella Jones, who was a Godsend, and answered all of my questions about this matter and future mitigation. Lastly, as we checked out from our white-glove 5-star service, Kayla-CSR, was the icing on the cake. The entire team were my prayers, answered. I know that my service dog and SDIT will always receive expert-level care in the event of any unforeseen events with the two dogs. You can trust them and they are there for you. Initially we checked out the Ridgeside Instagram account and then after contacting them for additional information we decided to sign Flossie up for the 3 week board & train program. We were given our trainer's contact info in case we had any questions or wanted additional info prior to the start date. Gina picked up Flossie and for the next three weeks we got pictures and videos every day of Flossie's training progress plus also information for us to learn about the training. All of this made the transition back home easy and seamless. Gina's instructions were clear and concise and she also made sure that we understood the hows and the whys of training. Since Flossie has been home Gina reached out to see how things were going and said she was available if we had any follow up questions. We are very happy with the outcome and feel the training really firmed up our loosey goosey training up to that point. Gina gave Flossie the foundational training she needed in order for us to meet our goals with Flossie and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Pebbles (blue heeler, 1.5 years old) would never listen to me, would not sit or lay still, and had a lot of other obedience issues that caused her to be stressed or confused. She was a TOUGH dog to train and I was concerned I couldn't find the solution for her to get basic concepts. This view has completely changed since working with RSK9's 3 week program. I would HIGHLY recommend them and their methods - you can tell they genuinely love working with dogs and it's made a huge difference in giving my dog the chance to find real rest at home. They send DAILY updates with photos and videos which was so nice. This isn't a regular class or something you just pay for; it's truly an investment that you and your dog will be using for the time you get to share together. Side note: it's worth doing 3 weeks versus 2 weeks. At the 2 week mark is when Pebbles really started to understand her marks and cues. From here there is so much more that can be refined and Brandi/Perry really capitalize on that threshold being crossed!
