I came across this groomer by accident. I was trying out a new route from my house to the DMV when…read moreI passed a sign that said Pawsitive Vibes Grooming Salon LLC standing next to a driveway that led into the woods. I'm glad I saw it. My wife and I have lived in Inwood, WV for over 10 years now. We've tried various groomers both in Inwood, near Inwood, and in Winchester. All of them did an OK job except for one (shaved our miniature schnauzer without telling us). These grooming experiences were nothing to shout about or even take the time to post a review. They all were quite expensive, and didn't really meet our expectations given the price we. had to pay. When I got home I looked. up Kayla's website. I was excited to see that her prices were much more reasonable. So I called her up and made a reservation to have Abby groomed.. On the day of the grooming, we arrived on time, and Kayla was waiting for us at the door. She took Abby right away after filling out some paperwork. I asked her how long it would take, and she said about an hour to an hour and a half. Really? All of the other groomers to 4 or more hours because they put Abby in a cage and left her there until they were actually ready to groom her. Kayla doesn't do that. I didn't even see any cages in her salon. Sure enough, one hour later Kayla calls to tell us that Abby will be ready in 15 minutes. It took me 20 minutes to get in my car and drive to her shop. Abby was waiting at the door for me. I forgot to bring my checkbook, which Kayla had told me to do because she only accepts cash or a check. I didn't really want to run back home, get it and come back, but would have if Kayla hadn't said I could pay her the next time she grooms Abby - early August! It was May 5th that day she groomed Abby. I asked where the nearest ATM machine was but unfortunately there wasn't one close by because this is a very rural area. Kayla said, don't worry about it. You can send me a check instead. How many groomers have told you not to worry about it, just send them a check. In all my years of having a dog groomed (over 25 years), not a single groomer ever did that. Most groomers hold your dog hostage until you pay! Not Kayla. She's not only a very friendly person, but also a very trusting person. Remember, this was the very first time we had taken Abby to her. Now we've had Abby groomed by six different groomers in the four years we've had her. She's a 4 year old miniature schnauzer and we got her when she was 8 weeks old. As I said earlier, those groomers did an OK job - nothing to shout about except for one who completely shaved Abby. Kayla did an excellent job. When I brought Abby home, my wife was amazed at how well Kayla had cut Abby's beard and legs. She just kept making over what a great job Kayla did grooming Abby, and I totally agree. So not only was Kayla trusting me to send her a check (for less than any other groomer charged us), she was very nice, very friendly, and an excellent groomer. I. made Abby's next appointment before I brought her home. I'm extremely happy with the treatment Abby received from Kayla and am making her Abby's new groomer from now on. It is my honor to share these experiences with you, and I highly recommend Pawsitive Vibes Groom ing Salon to other dog owners. Although I never carry cash or my checkbook because I've gotten in the habit of just using a credit card (to get the travel points), it is no big deal for me to bring my checkbook (which I will not forget on our next appointment). I hope you have a similar excellent experience if you choose to have Kayla groom your dog. Thank you Kayla.

I am grateful that Dr. Wilt was taking new patients. He was able to see my dog in a reasonable amount of time whenever I called because she was sick or injured and he has always carefully and fully explained her health issues and options. I am most grateful for the excellent, professional and compassionate care provided by Dr. Wilt and his staff.

Recently, I accompanied a friend to an appointment there and was quickly reminded why we left. The atmosphere remains dismissive and unwelcoming, and it's clear they are not focused on client relationships or patient comfort. I was especially concerned to overhear the vet brushing off my friend's valid concerns about the way she was treated by the support staff earlier that week. There was no effort to listen, empathize, or acknowledge her experience--it felt cold and condescending. What's more troubling is that for eight years, my friend's dog was told she had a heart murmur--only to be correctly diagnosed as not having one after switching to our current vet at Apple Tree Animal Clinic (recommended by the Humane Society). If you're looking for a clinic where your concerns will be heard and your pets treated with compassion and professionalism, I recommend going elsewhere. Bedside manner matters, and unfortunately, it's still lacking at Ranson Animal Hospital.

Greeted as soon as I walked in to my appointment to get Prince Tippytoes' nails trimmed. And he was immediately taken back. Now it seems he is very much a Primna Donna as his whines could be heard across the store. But the lovely lady who trimmed him said that despite his cries he was a good boy that didn't growl or snarl. Very convenient for the people who live in Urbana, and we are already repeat customers.

Other than never being able to figure out whether I was due for a free dog wash after my six visits, I always had good experiences with this location, that all changed today. Today's issue happened to be that I got a call 15 minutes before I was supposed to be there saying that they needed me to come 30 minutes late to my scheduled appointment, when I said, I would split the difference and be 15 minutes late because I already had the dog in the car and was on my way. I was put on hold and then told that would be OK. Upon my arrival I was put in a room that had so much hair from the previous dog that the tub would not drain and I walked out covered in hair that was blowing around when trying to dry my dog (that was after having to move the dryer as they did not have the 2 that are normally there). Meanwhile, they were having one of their employees groom another dog in the room next-door instead of having the self wash stations open for self washes for their customers. Then to top it off the price to wash my own dog (with someone else's dog hair) is now $30 for a 20 minute time-slot, a teaspoon of shampoo and some of their water. I've been frustrated that it was difficult to call to schedule an appointment. Their website was/is cumbersome and not conducive to actually scheduling a time but gives an "afternoon/morning/evening" option. Then they would reach out to you with what times were available and you'd go back-and-forth trying to iron out a time instead of just being able to call. Very disappointed at the direction this new ownership has taken this establishment. This will probably be our last visit here...
