Rick Palmer is our technician and he is professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. He was very fast in responding to my emails and flexible for my schedule. Having taken multiple courses in entomology in college, I was certain I could deal with the insects in and around my home. Boy was I wrong! As a homowner, we do not have access to the required information as well as profe grade chemicals to do the proper job. I broke down 2 years ago and called Creature Control, an independent family owned veteran business. Supporting local businesses and families rather than no face corporations is important to me. They inspected and treated my home both in and out including attic, basement, and garage. When I questioned the need to do the outside I was told to stop insects before they get into my house. I thought I would give them a trial. We have now used this service for 2 years and I can tell you we have not has a single stink bug, lady bug, rolly polly, spider, ant, or any other insect in our home since. Not only that, we have had no wasp or yellow jacket nests on our siding, eaves, or deck. Our home is insect free! Andrew Barker came over on an Emergency basis this last Saturday. He was dispatched by Andrea(Sutton). I was thoroughly impressed how quickly and efficiently both Andrew and Andrea handled the problem. It turns out that we had a large stray cat that had been dead for awhile under our deck which is attached to the house. The stench was horrendous! Even though most of the Creature Control crew was at an employee's wedding,Andrea got word to Andrew while he was finishing another job.She even apologized for not giving me a tighter time window! As soon as Andrew walked into the house,he diagnosed the problem--a large animal was dead somewhere. He first went to the deck and bingo--there it was. Somehow he shimmied his skinny body under the deck and did the Creature Control work. Afterwards,he gave us references for restorative/protective work. I was very happy with creature control right from the 1st phone call . Abigail was very professional and courteous at a stressful time of being bombarded by a family of raccoons. Mike was our service technician and he also was very professional and courteous and responded quickly and trapped the mother and the next day came out to collect the babies that were in the wall. He also put a temporary barrier to see if other raccoons were present. He kept in contact with us also so there was no questions of what was happening. Also not to forget about Dave k. He was also very helpful in trying to assist us with our no good homeowners insurance of National General . He met with and called the adjusters and tried to explain the damage Raccoons make . We Live in a 1880's Historical Home in Marshall That over time had loads of flying squirrels in the attic, critters digging under the is porch and mice that were beginning to take over. In just a short span of time Josh from Creature Control was able to set live, humane traps, remove the animals, and then patch and wall off permanently the areas that were allowing them entrance to our home. Josh showed up promptly, told us what to expect, was great at explaining the procedure and estimated costs involved and took care of the problem. His work ethic and customer service skills were so exemplary that he has given me much faith that excellent customer service still exists . The prices were very fair and the service was EXCELLENT. I was hearing noises in my roof above my bedroom at various times of the day and night. I tried setting a few traps of my own and would catch a mouse or squirrel and that would temporarily solve the problem. After a year + of this , I decided to get professional help as I still had no idea how they were getting inside. John from creature control came to my house and went on my roof for an inspection. He quickly pointed out 2 holes chewed thru the wood that I would never see unless I was crazy enough to climb on my steep roof. John was very knowledgeable and took time to explain the process and his plan to critter proof my house. This including blocking the 6 eave to roof intersections on my roof. John offered other suggestion too on other steps I could take on my own to reduce the pest problem like trimming back trees etc. So 1 month later I am no longer hearing crawling noises in my attic. Not only did Joshua H do a thorough inspection, (bat, mice and general rodent concerns), he even doubled-back and checked the same area again to satisfy his own professional curiosity. To accommodate our need, Joshua provided us with a multi-tiered quote to com"bat" our issues accordingly. (Full house vs. point of entry, etc...) When he came back to actually perform the work, Josh further refined the bid to account only the work he performed (which was less than originally discussed. His professional opinion changed, as did the service required to fix the issue.) Joshua could have told easily kept to plan, and we would we have been none the wiser. Yesterday someone noticed that we had a huge bee nest in our pear tree overlooking the driveway. I called several companies and ask them if they would come over to remove it. Most of them were asking many questions and didn't really seem interested in getting the job done. When I called Creature Control, the woman that answered the phone was very helpful and she was able to schedule someone for the following day. The workman who came over to do the job was Brandon. He was polite and explained what he was going to do. He answered all my questions and did a remarkable job of removing the nest and walking on our property to make sure there wasn't another nest anywhere. I have now contracted Creature Control on two (2) separate occasions this year. The first time was an issue with birds in our 2nd story air vents (April). The second time for a large (volleyball-size) bee hive in our basement (August). Their team is very professional, courteous & most of all, effective. Even a follow-up issue was handled without issue. I am so happy with Creature Control's Service at my house near Ann Arbor, Michigan. After trying for 2 winters to figure out where mice were getting into my new home, I finally called Creature Control. I feel lucky that Creature Control and Dan were advertised in my area in Colorado so I just grabbed a business card off the bulletin board called them. In between snowstorms Dan came by and looked at the problem, pack rats and mice destroying my home. He quickly determined what was needed and assess how to repair entry points in hiding places. Placed traps around my home and throughout the garage. We talked on how to prevent future problems by repairing entry points and dropping the rodent population down with the traps. Just had my first treatment and setting the traps looking forward to our maintenance plan, and for me restoring my home from the critters damage that they did. I would 110% recommend Creature Control. We have worked with both Dave and Andrew. Each of them were courteous, knowledgeable, thorough and very professional. Our calls and emails have been returned promptly. Creature Control has completely eliminated our indoor pest issue and have made every effort to keep it that way. We just had Creature Control out again to deal with a chipmunk issue at our cottage. They caught the culprit chewing up my garage door by the next day! They also ended up finding and treating a carpenter ant issue I was not aware of as well. I feel like Creature Control is by far the best company Ive used to date. Had a stinging insect nest in an upper-story window, between the inside glass and the storm glass. Creature Control removed the nest, cleaned up all of the bug bodies in the window frame, and slid the storm glass back into place so they would not return. Both gentlemen employed great customer service (friendly) and answered all of my questions. I am new to the world of getting rid of insects and they were very patient with my questions. For a short time in October each year, our vinyl sided house is "attacked" by Asian Beetles ... look like lady bugs. Unfortunately, many make there way into the house and are a problem all winter long. For the last three years, we've had Creature Control spray the house exterior in early October, just before the Asian Beetles arrive. The treatment has been totally effective in keeping the pests out of the house, as they and other bugs, such as Boxelders, die on contact with the sprayed surfaces. To us, this is "PRICELESS".
