I was having a problem with mice and bats. Michigan Wildlife came out and took me around my house and explained to me how the mice and bats were getting in (underneath the siding & in the vents) and also explained that there are few things they can do to fix it. This is good knowledge to have so that I am more diligent the next time I see one. The rep/owner was very nice and conversational but I was happy with the cost of the service after learning what materials would be used. The charge was reasonable compared to some other quotes I received after having a home inspection at my new. Since this was my first time dealing with this type of thing I would definitely recommend calling around to find the best professional that fits your home. However I would recommend Michigan Wildlife Solutions to solve any rodent or critter problem you are having. I honestly thought that calling a professional service would have never been my first thing to do since I am pretty handy, but I'm glad I did. I can say that something seems to have worked because I no longer hear the scratching in my attic/walls. I am more educated now and I know moving forward what to do. That's call MWS :). In a nutshell here are my pros and cons... Pros. Professional: Showed up with a new van that was clean and looked like a legitimate company. I felt like I hired a true pro, just the way they presented them self. The owner/tech showed up in full uniform and handed my a business card right away explaining who he was. Timely: I called a day before and they came out next day. I was given a two hour window in which they would show up. They called 30 minutes prior to showing up. Worked out perfect. Work: The work was very well done. Who knew getting rid of critters was more than just setting a few traps. They used some different products on my roof and made feel like my house was buttoned up as tight as ever. Cons. Not many cons other than maybe price. I don't think it was because they were too high, I just think that might be industry standard. They were a little more money than the previous quote we had, but they offered a better service and more products. If you have a wildlife problem, be prepared to pay around a $1,000 or maybe even more if you need your attic cleaned. Thankfully we didn't need our attic cleaned. read more

After discovering my mom had at least one chipmunk in her house for over three years, we convinced her that "Alvin" was more a pest than an inconvenient pet and since her own traps had not worked, she let us contact professionals. I narrowed my search down and contracted Michigan Wildlife Solutions on a Monday. Mac came to her home that Thursday to assess and he and Bennet arrived the following Tuesday to install a rat wall barrier. They observed several chipmunks trying to get in, even live trapping an overly eager one and released in a park later. Both took the time to explain what they were doing and why and answered all of our many questions. They then left traps in the house for chipmunks and mice, which are ever-present in her old farmhouse. Several mice and one chipmunk were trapped the first day, but a couple of days later, Alvin showed up again. Mac returned each Thursday for three weeks at no extra cost, the last the day after Alvin met his match. In the three weeks since, there are no signs of chipmunks and only one mouse. There was obvious digging at the crawlspace entrance but the barrier seemed to hold. Mac and Bennet were both very professional and friendly. On each of his many vistis, Mac also took extra care in speaking with my elderely mom to make sure she was comfortable with everything. I did have to leave a message to call to schedule follow up appointments and make payment, bur an office staff member returned the call very shortly after and was also professional and pleasant. {Edited to reflect service} I originally left a one-star review due to disappointment that after I had scheduled my appointment, I was stood up (without anyone calling to cancel) because the company had retracted its original service area to no longer include my home. Following my initial review and an extensive search for an alternative, including an offer by Michigan Wildlife Solutions to cover the cost of another company's inspection, they ultimately decided to perform my service, even though it meant a significantly extended drive for their technician. The technician was both thorough, and thoroughly professional - both in performing my inspection, as well as explaining and deploying the recommended remediation. I have no doubt that I will soon be bat-free. I would also like to single out the company president, Joe Willis, for his exceptional customer service following the confusion. He not only offered to cover the cost of another organization's inspection, he researched several other companies that did provide service to my area. Unfortunately, the alternative company he recommended did not respond to my inquiry in a timely manner, and so Joe decided to make an exception to their new/reduced service area to enable me to resolve my bat problem. read more

I had a family of raccoons take residence in my attic. I trapped and relocated them. I tried to get a contractor out to give me an estimate on repairs for my insurance. I was informed it needed to be cleaned up before anyone would come out. In June I called Michigan Wildlife solutions. They sent Tyler out after a couple days. He went up in the attic gave me a free quote and I sent it to the insurance. After getting the repair money I called and had them schedule the cleaning and restoration. They had an early time in the next two weeks so I took it. Tom, Brice and a gentleman I can't remember his name (sorry) came out and were able to get the attic cleaned up. During the night a couple raccoons had decided to try to live up in the clean attic. When the guys came back they saw them and we had to trap them before they could finish the restoration. Long story short , they trapped the two up stair neighbors and relocated them. We waited for a few weeks to see if anything came back. Nope, So they came out and finished up. this is a great company. Obviously it is extremely hard to find a good company to rid your home of bats. I discovered a bat in my exterior siding and also really did not want a swarm to develop to make sure that was my grievance. We hired Michigan Wildlife Solutions in April to help us get rid of a couple of raccoons that were living up in our attic. Spencer & Bennettare very professional and arrived promptly for every scheduled visit. They successfully set up a "one-way" door leading out of one of the eaves in our roof where these critters were getting in. They also sealed up all other possible points of entry on the roof and around the house, instaled new flash sidings around the eaves of the roof and fixed one of the nearby gutters that was loose. The raccoons were gone within 48 hours and not able to re-enter. We initially had a minor hiccup when a different serviceman returned 5 days later to do the finish-up work. The problem was handled professionally and Spencer and Bennett returned instead to do the follow-up work by removing the trap, minor roof repair and clean up the feces in the attic. Highly recommend their service. The raccoons are now gone from our attic and Iive out among our trees around the house where they safely belong. Also, we live close to downtown Canton. We had a home inspection done to our home and they found squirrels and bats in the attic. We hired Michigan Wildlife Solutions to get rid of both. The first tech that came out inspected my entire home and found where the squirrels and the bats were getting in. He was very thorough and informative on all of his findings. We were given an estimate for around $1,000. We decided to go ahead with the work. The next couple of guys who came to our home were very nice and did a good job. About a week later I heard scratching in between floors and noises in our attic. I texted Joe and he came right out the very next day. He installed some critter cap thing and another bat door on our roof. The bats and squirrels were gone in a few days. Was very happy with the responsiveness and care this company gave me. We are very pleased with the service provided by technician Mac from Michigan Wildlife Solutions. We had squirrel infiltration into our attic about five years ago (very good service then too). We had heard scratching again a few days ago that sounded like the squirrels had returned and call for a check by MWS. Mac arrived and inspected the property and found all access points that were blocked 5 years ago were in working order and their were no other access points found.. The noises we heard were from squirrels attempting to re-enter the attic through the previously blocked spaces covered with metal mesh. They were all intact. We had MWS to our house this past August. They charged around $600 to remove the bats from our home. They require half down up front to get started on their job. We scheduled to have the job done and they came out when I was at work. When I came home there was a tag on the door. I could see they installed a one way bat door on the roof. It was barely noticeable though. Later that night my husband and I watched as the bats flew out the one way door and circled around our home. We noticed them trying to get back in but thanks to the technicians who came out all of the spots were sealed. To this day we don't have any more bats. read more

This was a process finding the right company to get our bats out. We were fishing for pricing and it was nearly impossible to find a company to do a free inspection. We weren't looking to pay for three estimates. Michigan Wildlife Solutions was the second company to come out and they gave is a free inspection. Their pricing was right on par with our other estimate, but I was happy to get a five year warranty for the service. We have started the removal process but the bats will not be gone until spring. We live in Ortonville and had a few companies to choose from however we were recommended Michigan Wildlife Solutions. My friend had them out to her home and said they did a great job getting rid of her bats. Well we had something in the chimney and we weren't quite sure what it was. We removed the cover over the fireplace and heard growling. Sure enough there was a raccoon living in our chimney. The technician was able to get the raccoon out in under an hour and put a chimney cap on it. Thankfully there aren't any more raccoons living in out chimney. read more

Good experience with The Crew at Michigan wildlife. Red squirrels living in our attic and they were able to get rid of them. they installed ridge caps on all of our vents and put screens over our gable vents on the home. They did trapping for 30 days and got rid of all the squirrels. Reset up an appointment and they came out the very next day. Joe came to my home regarding a rodent problem. He thoroughly investigated the problem, found their point of access into my home, set bate traps and after his initial I did not see any rodents or evidence of any rodents. He returned to follow up a month later and carefully identified the bates that the most activity and reset them. Most companies would have removed the traps and left, but Michigan Wildlife Solutions does a great job.
