We made an appointment to get an estimate. A knowledgeable member of the Steele Team arrived on schedule and reviewed our options. A few days later we received the estimate, one that was lower than an earlier estimate we had received from a competitor, and we approved the job. The following week the installation crew arrived and put in the Breeze 33 system, including the air conditioning unit, 8 ducts strategically positioned in bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas, an air handler (installed in the hallway ceiling), and the outdoor unit behind the house. The crew was excellent and got the job done in a single day. They meticulously cleaned up after themselves -- actually, they did better than that, vacuuming the stairway cleaner than it was before they came and repositioning personal items in rooms that might be impacted by falling dust from the drilling. Our experience was great. Now we're set for whatever inferno this summer has in store for us. Highly recommended!

The tech came out and accidentally broke my disconnect so he said he would "put in a ticket" to have someone come out to repair it. The scheduling lady called me a few days later and scheduled a tech to come out to the house and the tech came and replaced the disconnect and left. I then received via email a $175 bill. I called and left a voicemail to inquire with no response the next morning then called again the next day and was told "Tom Jr" would handle but was not there and would call me back to discuss. By this time I decided to have my husband handle this. Tom Jr stated he was charging us $175 for what his technician came out and broke! At no time we're we given a quote for the work or knew what the cost of repair would be - since Steele damaged our property we thought they would do the right thing and repair what they damaged - NOPE - Tom Jr (Steele) called it a "miscommunication" and argued to no end. This was shady dealings and not the way to run a stand up business. In the end, my husband had to fight for what was right and Tom Jr said to "throw out the bill" and hung up on my husband. If you are looking for Customer Service from a Heating and Cooling Business, LOOK ELSEWHERE!! Once you spend your money on a full heating and cooling package like we did, they're done with you.

Updating to a 3 star given that they made it right even though the service was still undesirable. My air was blowing warmer than normal so I gave these guys a call. Adam came out to service the unit and determined the refrigerant was low. I asked him about the leak and he responded by telling me that loading it with refrigerant should hold us over. He charged $370 for the visit and refrigerant fill. Two days later he came back due to the refrigerant already being gone. He finally did a leak detection and determined it was the indoor unit A Coil. He tried charging me another $220 for another visit. I refused to pay the additional $220 due to absolutely nothing being resolved other than determining the leak which has now cost me $590. The cost for the second service fee and all the refrigerant he charged me could have been saved had he done a leak detection to start during the original service call. He agreed I shouldn't have to pay for the second service call but still wasn't happy. He said he would look into a quote for installing a new coil before he left my residence. I get a text the next morning that service has been cancelled. This company tries to absorb as much money from the customer as possible without doing any meaningful work. I won't use them again.

Awful experience. Discussed with them prior to the…read morecontract what we wanted done. They brought a vague contract pricing out all the work, which we assumed was everything we had asked for. This was after it took them about a month to even get started. We secured financing for the work, but when the work started, a number of things we had discussed weren't what they were doing at all. We had discussed a jacuzzi style tub with jets and wiring going into the wall with that, and that is not the tub that we got. They offered to replace it, but of course, that was going to cost more. We asked to have a plumbing leak inspected and fixed in another bathroom, that we were then told we understood would be covered in the contract and financing that we had secured. Once work began, suddenly that was going to cost us more. What should have been a 2 week project at most that we called in June to have fixed, I'm writing on October 4th, and after waiting for 2 days being told the painter will "be there today" and holding my daily plans for that, finally he showed on the 3rd day. Now I'm left with an unfinished wall in the room they were projected to work on, and a gaping hole in my bathroom wall upstairs because as a disabled veteran on a fixed income that had secured financing for everything, I can't suddenly handle the surprise charges like putting the wall back together where they cut it out, despite a detailed discussion prior to the start of work that they would build an access panel into that wall. If you have work you need to get done, you're better off holding your pipes together and hoping the hard water we get locally leaves behind enough residue to eventually patch the leak itself than hiring these guys. Would not do business with again.
