We asked her questions about places to buy local rocks, arrowheads, books...other than the gift shop. She told us we could go check out her shop and collection if we'd like. We're so happy we did! We got to meet her other half who is a literal living breathing encyclopedia of fossils, stones, gems, local history, local lure... His fossil collection was in the Smithsonian. AMAZING welcoming owners and place. We bought his book and got it autographed by him. We also bought souvenirs, rocks, post cards... very reasonably priced. We highly recommend visiting them after tge Serpent Mound.

The shop itself features fossils, minerals, jewelry, and works from local artisans. And its centerpiece is a somewhat dilapidated but impressive display of trilobites that once was housed at the Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian. What explains this oddity? It seems to be the life work of Thomas Johnson, a local aficionado whose obsessive search for fossils keeps him preoccupied in this small corner of Ohio. When we visited, Johnson's shirt was still dusty from a morning dig. I asked him if the trilobite collection was the result of his own efforts, and he made it clear that it's "in progress". He showed us a piece of trilobite he'd found in the rock that very morning. Nobody's gonna mistake this place for the Smithsonian. But if you dig a good fossil, you'll see a couple here.

This place has it all from little inexpensive $5 or $10 stones to big massive $500 rare pieces that are breathtaking. Jade, turquoise, opal, fossils, quartz, agate, fluorite, petrified, wood, petrified, dinosaur bones, etc. etc. I'm telling you this place rocks! Owner is an encyclopedia of knowledge about rocks, gems, stones, bones & you name it. Helpful so you can find exactly what you are looking for or something new that you've never seen before. The prices are crazy good for what you are getting!! I found a petrified dinosaur bone!!! I also got the most beautiful tall Crystal quartz with a beautiful point and it stands up! It's in an old clothing factory & it's individual art studios so be sure to check out some of the other studios there too. Also, it's by appointment so just call the # to have them open the door when you get there (# is on sign outside in front of door). You are foolish not to at least check them out. I found them on Google after I typed in the word "witchcraft in Ohio" when I was looking for historical places pertaining to witchcraft & metaphysical landmarks, etc. in American history. This place is a hidden gem - no pun intended!

I still found it. It's across the street from Carmichael's bookstore parking lot. The outside of the store is unassuming, but you walk into a beautiful warm Haven filled with so many beautiful objects of art and crystals. It's so peaceful. You could sit in there for hours and just chill, but she has beautiful necklaces, and the funniest thing was I saw where the crystal Pokémon shapes and they even have my favorite Charmander who turns into Charizard. But I was able to find a Crystal that is sometimes very difficult to find around and believe it or not she had it and that was my first concern when I went to the store I was very focused and then I found about three more crystals that caught my eye as well please go Olivia is the most wonderful person that you would wanna meet. Always wanting to learn and see more stones, I was excited to head inside. Most items were reasonably priced, but I didn't know enough about them to pick out anything. I wish there was a bit more information around the store to help educate. I cut my visit short due to the smell and smoke in the shop. I'm unsure what was being burnt but it was overwhelming - in fact, my mask captured the smell and for the next couple of hours while I ran errands it felt like my nose was stuck in an ashtray. Worth a stop if you're in the area for basics and know what you're looking for.

Bowls of rocks were on a center table and small cards described how each was used during meditation. Because it was the weekend for the Easter parade she had plastic eggs for the kids and each contained a stone. After reading some of the cards I found a couple of rocks to keep with me - couldn't hurt to have a bit of help attracting what I desire. The prices are very reasonable from $1-10 but most fall within $1-4 each. While I was most intrigued with the rocks, the store also offered jewelry and other accessories. A small area in purple shined lights on crystal like rocks which was fun to simply stand inside for a moment. I noticed reiki is also offered in 30 & 45 min increments. This will be a nice spot to visit when I'm in the area. I feel that I could learn a lot from the owner who was so friendly and willing to speak about the items in her shop.
