If your looking for a 5star stay this is not it. It's more of a family/friend environment and nothing flashy. Literally you would be sitting in a room that's very similar to a kitchen at home talking over breakfast with pancakes and maple syrup. Something that feels like your at home away from home.

Booking mistakes were made, the hotel became run down, staff not friendly and rooms were rarely or never cleaned during our stay, this year we booked rooms for about 17 people with stays varying from from 2 nights to 3 and 4 nights. upon checking in most room assignments were wrong and lengths of stay were wrong and most rooms were double booked. Our weekend golf tournament was cut short and most had to vacate there room and go home early. As a group we have spent thousands of dollars at the hotel, restaurnat and bar, but the staff did not seem to care. They were more interested in us leaving and their double booked guests paying more money. The ownership at The Bedford should probably look for a new business adventure that does not require "Customer Service". We will definately be looking for a new golf venue for next year. it it sad because Goderich is a very beutiful town to stay in and places like the Bedford leave a bad taste.

The owners attitude is beyond horrible. Toilet stopped working on our second night around 11pm. Called down to front desk to tell the owner, he paused for a long moment and said "....I guess Ill see what I can do." Okay? 15 minutes later he shows up at our door and when we open it he literally tries to hand my mother a plunger and walk away.... I dont think so! So I call him out, telling him we are paying to stay here and we will not be plunging his toilets for him. He gives me the dirtiest look and walks in to plunge the toilet. Works on it for a few minutes, then stomps out of our room, ignoring our questions and slammed our door!! I honestly could not believe it. If you dont want to serve your customers then DONT BUY A MOTEL you moron! Not mine or my familys fault that you hate your job. I hope this place tanks and he ends up homeless. Such an asshole.
