Since moving to Mebane we have only visited this Vet for our pets. And Monday reminded me the why to this choice. Sharon in the front was beyond amazing! Our Frenchie went into labor late Sunday night. After watching her I decided to call and see what was needed. Sharon answered my call and had realized she needed an emergency c section to get the last puppy out because he was too big. I was a wreck!! I was in major tears and she showed me more support than I had ever received!!! Sharon had called me later on in the day to check on us and at that point Reagan was coming out of surgery and doing well, puppy was well. Sharon then called us Tuesday to check in on and made sure that I knew they were there for us as well. This was major for me and she made us feel heard, we mattered!! As long as I live in Mebane we will continue to visit Mebane Pet Clinic!! They have always been amazing with us at every visit!! Not only with Reagan, with our other pets as well!! read more

So, sadly I have had to come back earlier than expected to the clinic as my cat has been losing a lot of weight. it was super easy to make the appointment online this time....I guess people aren't going as nuts over their Covid pets. I got to the clinic at a very busy time so I went to the lobby to wait. This is one of the best parts of this vet; they have a dog lobby and a cat lobby. This way you won't stress your pet out even more by it being frightened Unfortunately, they only have a single cat exam room and it was occupied. We had to go to a dog exam room. It was very clean, but you could tell it was a dog room. Not just by the art on the walls but by the faint odor of "l'eau du peepee." Thankfully it wasn't long before the vet and a vet tech came to see us. I do have to say that I adore my new vet Dr. Cooper. She very patiently listens and has a very nice touch with my unsocial kitteh. Unfortunately, there is something wrong with my girl, but every step of any possible treatment was clearly explained to me. Another unfortunate thing is that like human healthcare, pet healthcare is seriously outrageously expensive. I have NO idea why a couple of lab tests for a cat would cost almost $300 but there you have it. Finding this office can be tricky depending on which exit you use. I use exit 153 and come up 119 because having to make the left turn on Mebane Oaks in the afternoon is seriously stress inducing. There is plenty of parking all around the clinic. When you walk in, you can check in right away & they usually take you right to a room. If they don't, in each of the lobbies they have towels that have been sprayed with either Thunder Ease or Feliway, both are supposed to destress your pet. There my be cheaper clinics (I haven't found one yet) but I can't see that there would be more attentive clinics. I trust my girl to Dr. Cooper completely. read more

I would give this clinic zero stars if possible. I called for an appointment and was told by Katie that there's a $130.00 fee to save a slot that must be paid prior to coming in. After paying via phone, I called back immediately to cancel the appointment due to no long needing the services. When calling to cancel the appointment I was told the money was no refundable which was never disclosed during the appointment making. Then I asked to speak to the person IN charge and was told Dr. Cooper was on vacation unit 7/8 and there was no one else in charge until then. Hard to believe there's no one in charge at this establishment until 7/8. Katie the gives me the Regional director number 248-234-4375 to call. There was no answer there but I did leave a detailed message. So this place wants to charge $130.00 for a phone call. This is absolutely ludicrous. With that being said I would never trust this clinic to care for of my pets. They are money hungry which leads me to believe with such practices they could never love animals. Nice but will rack up a bunch of unnecessary tests to charge you the most money possible. I work in Microbiology and they ran a "Test" that took less than 2 minutes and came back to tell me they found rod shaped bacteria. There is rod shaped bacteria everywhere so that was completely pointless. Charged $150 for the test and then wouldn't even prescribe the medicine at the dosage I have been giving my aging dog for pain for the past 2 years because I would have to cut it. Yet on the prescription for the lower dose that they would prescribe me, that is 4x as expensive for the same medicine, it states to cut the pill in half. To even get the initial prescription, which was the whole reason for bringing my dog in to begin with, it took almost a month and I had to call repeatedly to remind them. read more

I cannot recommend this practice enough. We were customers for 5+ years while we lived in Mebane and consistently received exceptional care from all of their vets and staff. I was especially impressed by the gentle way they handled and took time with our nervous dogs. They always fit us into the schedule when we had an emergency and even helped us get in with a neurologist at NC state on short notice when one of our girls was having disc disease in her back. BE AWARE this place used to be awesome but in the last 2 years it has completely went down hill.. Customer service and communication is horrible!!! The blonde real short haired lady wants to be office manger (I think she is well she sits up front ) is so rude and very racist... The last 3 times we have brought our dog in there is always someone in there complaining. You can't get refill on time or it takes an act of GOD and he gets the same medicine month... She has also called the police on 2 different occasions and they were both black saying they were getting loud and rude when in fact it was her rude behavior. Very unprofessional and as racist as they come!!! Stay away....And the final charge is never what they say it is going to be as you can tell by past reviews! ! read more

If I could give it .5 a rating I would. I recently took my dog to this clinic for what I assumed would be a simple visit to address his ear infection. I was prepared to get him the care he needed, but I was shocked at how the appointment unfolded. Instead of going through his overall health and ear infection, they started adding a series of tests and blood work without clearly explaining the necessity or cost. On top of the fact I noticed I was the last appointment so it felt rushed and as if they were taking advantage of the situation, assuming that just because I needed help, I would automatically agree to all these extra costs. The total price was outrageous, especially when I asked about the overall cost in advance and they told me $75. There was little to no communication about what each test was for or why it was needed. It seemed more like a money grab than genuinely caring for my dog's health. Very disappointed and will think twice before returning. Even with me expressing these concerns and they brought my total down from $610 to $210 by taking off the test THEY insisted to have but to think I'm paying $210 just for no results is sickening. These people do not care for animals as you would expect. They only care for how much you're willing to spend. I do not recommend do not go there unless you have life savings! OR you like your animal being picked and probed for fun with no results. Poor service behind fake smiles with high pitched voices. read more

We had just moved back to Burlington (12 years ago) and started looking for another veterinarian office after one in Burlington started nickel an diming us. Not sure if they had a management change or what but it made us seek other vet care. So glad that we found Mebane Pet Clinic (believe it's been about 5 years ago now)!! Dr. E and her staff are genuinely caring for the animals they see. Our dog Maxx loved going there. He felt comfortable with everyone and Dr E not only gave him wonderful care, she patiently explained everything about his visits to us. The charges for our visits were always way lower than what we had expected also. Unfortunately Maxx left us on Oct 12 and when I called MPC for a recommendation on a crematory facility, they guided us to a very loving and caring facility in Hillsborough. We recently adopted a young dog from Ruff Love Rescue and had to call MPC to see her about a tick we found on her. They were able to work us in and Dr E put our timid, anxious girl at ease immediately. As long as I own any pets, they will always go to Dr E and Mebane Pet Clinic! You will not find a better place for your furry loved ones. read more

My dog was a patient at this clinic for around a year and a half before we moved to a different state. I contacted mebane pet clinic to refill a prescription and was told that the doctor could not refill it due to state regulations. I was told by a different clinic that there are no state regulations prohibiting refilling a prescription across state lines. I called this clinic back and was then told the doctor was uncomfortable refilling it through the clinic in the state that I moved to. The prescription is very important for my dog to have when needed and mebane pet clinic didn't really try to help. Minimal assistance or advice was offered on what I should do and if anything they were just deflecting the request/ offering assistance. To me it seems like they just do not want to help because there does not appear to be any restrictions preventing them from refilling the prescription. Not filling this prescription doesn't affect me, it affects my dog. It is baffling that a vet clinic barely did anything to assist in this situation. read more

Mebane Pet Clinic refused to see Lily Belle because I don't work there anymore. My dog has Addison's disease and she's in need of her Zycortal injection and I did take my records when I left but I thought they could still see her for her injection because it's due now before I transfer her to a brand new vet. There motto is where they are more than pets but to me they only say that but don't hold to the what that actually means. My dog is waxing and waning today. She's pretty sick and they refused to see her. I thought it was do no harm and provide veterinary care to animals that are not well but it seems they would rather act petty than treat the pets. Love their whole new Corporate attitude they are the real MVPs!! Meanwhile, I called Creekside Animal Clinic and they are working me in right away today. I can tell you who my new vet will be from now on. They were very kind and sympathetic to what Lily Belle needs today. How could you refuse to see this little dog!? Literally the worst possible place you could take your animal!!! Place is spiraling pit of disorganization, unprofessionalism and incompetence. Every member of the previous staff (which was wonderful) has left. Poorly trained vet techs caused severe infection in my cat, by doing procedures they shouldn't be doing alone/ without a vet, and with no communication with the vet! However they lead the patient to think that vets are involved in the procedures! Appointment booked with specific vet for elderly cat-Yet when appointment arrives a different vet walks in. With no previous history or knowledge of care. No notice or call to patient to inform of the change- Owner/vet sold practice corporate entity- Quality of care plummeted! Then that vet even left because it was so horrific. Change policies and prices with no informed consent. They do not care about your animals! Go anywhere else!! read more

5 stars all around. Mebane Pet Clinic was able to fit my extremely sick, elderly cat in for a new patient visit the next day. Unfortunately, we ended up euthanizing her. However, everyone was so wonderful from the receptionist taking the phone call, to the vet techs, to the Vet. Everyone was awesome at communicating, empathizing and understanding. The vet (I wish I could remember her name) even teared up with us crying during the procedure. You just don't find that sort of sympathy anymore. I am so grateful for everything they did for us. When I lived down the road in Burlington it was difficult to choose a clinic as I never got that "feeling"....they were good but never made me or my pets feel like they really cared. I just moved to Mebane and I needed a vet. I of course am very picky about who I take my pets too. My dogs are like my children. Upon entering receptionist was very polite. She was actually a to fit me in the same day. Once the Vet Dr. Beegle came in she was very sweet and didn't take any offense to me knowing about animals and me being a vet tech. She spent a good amount of time in room with us and did explain and answered all my question. Had great attitude. My second visit I brought both my dogs. And even though we waiting a long time in waiting room. Everyone was apologizing. I of course didn't have an attitude cause I do understand what happens in a vet office. While vets are usually extremely expensive there prices are very very reasonable and affordable. This will be my vet office until or when we move again. Thank you for everything!!! read more

She is down to earth, smart, honest and not only looks out for your fur baby but she also looks out for you. She never makes you feel like you are a bad pet owner. As an employee of the clinic, I was touched without consent by one of the doctors. She actually grabbed me by the wrist and yanked me by my arm. The office manager was made aware, but I received no apology and not a word from the owner. It was completely brushed off. This same doctor also frequently talks down to the other employees. I was treated in a disrespectful manner several other times including being texted on my day off about menial things. When I stood up for myself, I was told I obviously did not enjoy my job and it wasn't working out. I agreed it wasn't working out, not because I did not like the job, but because of the extreme disrespect I was shown as an employee!! I didn't love being a receptionist but agreed to do so until I could be cross trained to be a vet assistant. I worked very hard and did my job well! This is not the way to run a business. And you should not put your hands on your employees! Ever! read more

Excellent Vet! My puppy was really sick and they made me an appointment the same day. The best part is our Doctors name is Dr. Beegle! How cool is that! She saw him and she knew he was ill. She explained to us that she needed to run a few tests and tried to keep our bill down. Long story short, she saved our puppy from dying! We are very thankful! I had to have my cat put to sleep here. Most of the staff were incompetent, rude and uncaring. The receptionist threw the receipt at me and said "here". Dr Efthimiadis is in the wrong line of work. Fake and mean spirited. I will NEVER take another animal to them for any reason. I should not have gone back after she lied to me the first time. All they want is your money. I don't normally write reviews so this experience deeply affected me. I imagine this clinic is a wonderful clinic if you go for routine care or sick visits but you do not want to go to this clinic for end of life services! The decision to put a pet down is an agonizing one but when you ask for help and are made to feel horrible for your decision it is very traumatic. My daughter's poor furbaby was so sick and was deteriorating almost in front of our eyes...but the "counseling?" was demeaning, cold and never apologized for. My daughter is sobbing and hating herself and this vet was only concerned about how it would make herself feel. She even admitted that she needed to feel okay with herself to provide the service. I'm sorry but when did any of this have anything to do with the vet?! If you can't provide the service in a kind way for EVERYONE involved, then don't offer the service!!!! My daughter had looked at every option and this was her baby...the decision was not made lightly and the fact that the vet kept running up the bill with needless tests, exams and exhausted over an hour "discussing options" while my daughter is sobbing was completely uncalled for! I will never bring my precious pup to this clinic nor recommend it to anyone! It's all about the money and the "compassion" is selective. read more

The staff at Mebane Pet Clinic has been great with my black lab. They have been able to give me the gift of having a 15 year old lab. Dr E has treated my lab with care and compassion through her kidney disease and has been great to come up with a cost effective treatment plan for her. Dr E, Dr Beegle and the staff have been quick to see me and have fitted me into the schedule to see my cats when they have been hurt by other animals and needed surgical treatment for their injuries. I would highly recommend Mebane pet clinic to anyone. read more

We would like to commend the doctors and staff of Mebane Pet Clinic. We cannot say enough about the kindnesses that they have shown our rescue animals. All of the staff is conscientious and compassionate. Dr. Beegle and Dr. Efthimiadis always make time to see them when they need to be seen. Dr. Efthimiadis has performed two surgeries on two of our dogs that basically saved their lives and made it so they could be healthy and adopted. I love the staff. They are the BEST. I have always given 5 stars to the Pet Clinic, but not today. I took my cat in for her annual vaccinations and was told that I had to pay a $35 fee for an annual examination. I challenge that and the Vet/Doc said "no exam....no vaccinations." I was told that I could take my cat to the local PetSence on Saturdays to get her vaccinations. WHAT? I thought this was a veterinary clinic. I guess not. I am tired of all the charges that get applied to the bill that don't add anything to my pets health. I chose to not give her an annual exam. Is that not my choice to make? I have paid them in the past, but not now. What unnecessary stuff are you paying for,? Or do just feel guilty if you don/t? I will gladly pay for care that I think my pets need, but not for things that I choose not to provide for. Think about it. Every year you give an additional $35 for a 5 minute exam and a rectal temp! I guess if it makes you happy, then that's a choice, too. I chose not to. read more

I took my dog to Mebane Pet Clinic to because she was having issues emptying her bladder. It was the first time she has ever been sick and the staff at Mebane Pet Clinic were very nice and helpful. I was able to get an appointment right away. They took an ultrasound of my dogs bladder and found a large stone. Dr. E was very professional and knowledgeable. She explain what was going on and how to treat my dog. She proscribed some medicine to devolve the stone. The Vet Tech, Jennifer was an angel and calmed my nerves while my dog was being looked at and explained how much and how to give my dog her medicine. I had to come back to get the second part of my dogs medicine and it was all ready to be picked up when I got to the Clinic. I then came for a third visit to see if the stone had devolved. It had and was small enough for my dog to pass. I am so thankful for them and I am happy my dog is healthy once again. Thank you Mebane Pet Clinic! read more

This is a disorganized clinic. Folks are friendly but not convinced about the importance of details, like reading your pet's chart before they call you to recommend follow up care. I had a follow up call from a vet who had not examined my pet and who recommended treatment that, had she read my pet's chart, would have seen my pet was already receiving. There was an appointment scheduled that never made it to their computer, and a misdiagnosis of my pet's condition. Also, the follow up call was like a sales call to promote other pharmaceutical products, again by a vet who had not examined my pet. Another problem was that I stopped by after our first visit to pick up meds, and no one could find my pet's chart. I heard staff say they would check the vet's desk, but they had no luck there either. We did go back for my pet's booster. On this second and last visit, staff was slow, and the vet got defensive when I asked about the rationale behind her initial treatment given that my pet's condition had worsened. She admitted she'd made a mistake but was angry. In fact, she did not come back into the examination room, and instead sent copies of my pet's medical record with the tech. One very serious concern is that meds on first visit had different colored capsules. No one alerted us to this. I looked both up on the internet and found out they were the same meds, but the vet or the tech should have told us this instead of letting us discover it on our own. My basic complaint is that this is a sloppily run clinic that can hurt our beloved pets in ways that can potentially be irreversible. read more

I worked for a veterinarian for about 8 years many years ago so I know A LOT about typical treatments. I recently took my cat to Dr Efthimiadis for a problem he was having. That was a HUGE mistake!! I was in a bind because it was a Saturday and my cat had to have an emergency procedure done that day. So I let her do it and ended up paying about 40% more than she had estimated. She had to put my cat under full, surgical anesthesia (so she claimed) and she didn't even get to him until the end of the work day. Then I had to take my cat to the emergency clinic on Sunday and they did the exact same procedure with only sedation (not full surgical anesthesia). It cost me less to go to the emergency vet than Dr. E!! That should say something! I called Dr. E on Monday morning to see about bringing my cat back in for the procedure again and told her how the emergency vet did it with only sedation and she refused to do it that way, even knowing I could not afford to do the procedure again at her price. When I asked about euthanasia she simply quoted a price and didn't even offer to work with me on the price at all to try to keep a cat alive that could be healthy again (who is only 6 yrs old)!! Thankfully I found a WONDERFUL vet in Hillsborough who is actually in the business for the animals and not just the money and has a much better personality, bedside manner, and an understanding of the owners wishes and concerns. This new vet I found did the procedure with just the sedation and is keeping my cat for at least 24 hours and it is costing me half the price I paid to Dr. E without the 24 hour care. As I stated above I used to work for a veterinarian so I know a good caring vet when I see them and in my opinion Dr. E is not that. read more
