What a great NEW cigar shop! They just opened in March, according to Dwayne and Valerie! This little shopping/restaurant area, guess called :Nolan Creek , boasts a river area called ?"The Landing" where you can swim, or play with the ducks. There are some nice restaurants: The Gin (American Food), Score (Pizza and Wings) and Coronas De Oro (Mexican Food)...all of which you can bring into this fine establishment (or any other food you like). It is a BYOB place, so again, bring what ever you would like to drink with your smoke. They DO provide everything you may need for your drinks: glasses, ice (regular and ball) and also a bartender kit (Jigger, muddler, spoon, strainer and shaker). *Just remember to wash your own glass when done--soap and sponge provided :)
When my husband and I got there, we just finished eating at The Gin. A couple of our friends live in Belton and invited us to have dinner and join them here, as this place, they just found themselves. We were greeted very nicely by Dwayne. He asked if he could help, an told me we had friends we were with,, but they disappeared. We found out while we went to car to go get our drinks, they went to go look at the river. We walked into the beautiful humidor (not quite all the way full yet, but as said, they just opened). We were then greeted by Valerie. She was a great help, as my husband and I are still "novices" on how to pick out a cigar we like. We have only been smoking for a couple years, and knew a couple we liked, and told her, and she had those, but we wanted to try something new. So, she suggested a few that were similar to what what had enjoyed. She was very knowledgeable! We picked a couple out and walked out. Our friends finally arrived, and looked around to find a place to sit.
Now, we have a place locally in Georgetown, so we knew what to expect in a cigar lounge with the comfortable chairs and televisions. But, this place, has a really cool set up (see pics). It looks like you are walking into someone's house. Small seating area in the front with couple tables/chairs and a couch with coffee table. But, once you start walking back, you have another couch with coffee table along the wall, then this small room that has mixture of seating areas, and keep walking back, you have what looks like a dinning table that could seat up to 8, and a bar looking area (*where you will find all of your drinking additions I mentioned above). Also, a small area of lockers where, if you come here often, you can rent to store you alcohol in. Now, after been to other cigar lounge, you know you will have some cigar smokiness. But, like the we visit in Georgetown, this one is very well ventilated! I saw Dwayne even going around and kicking it up, as it grew more crowded as night went on. We stayed for a couple hours, enjoyed our cigars and drinks! Really like this place! We will be back! Thanks Dwayne and Valerie!
P.S. I saw they do have a Facebook page (no website yet), so check them out there. I saw they do have "Poker nights", so they should be fun too! read more
