Having resided in Sioux Falls for about 2.5 years, I've found that food here is typically well prepared with fresh ingredients and served as I would expect. There is a lot to like here and my rating is more like 3.5 stars. I just can't give it 4 stars. The portions are generous so you are getting a large amount of food. The entree I ordered arrived with rice which I appreciated. Service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant occupies the former Urban Chislic location so the decor inside looks much like a modern sports bar and that's fine - it's reasonably modern looking without being overwhelming. I think if I'd never had Indian food before I'd be very impressed. However, like I mentioned before everything looks and 'feels' accurate and yet the food always tastes like something is missing. I ordered Vegetable Samosa and there were good - the pastry seemed accurate and the filling was good. It was served with the usual sauce/sides as expected. The Dahl Makhni (beans) arrived at a very hot temperature which I did appreciate. The naan bread had a pleasant, chewy texture which I liked a lot. I can only give three stars because of the overall taste/flavor. I don't know if food in the Midwest is just intended to be 'flat' or 'polite'. I enjoyed everything I ordered and since I am a big eater I finished everything ordered - that alone should tell you it was good.
