One of the best steakhouse experiences you can encounter in the West. Sorta odd that it is away…read morefrom downtown and out in the shopping suburbs but that also means the clientele is just not dominated by suits and the rest of us can relish the fine service and food. When I visit a classic western steakhouse, I do NOT want the frills of the east. Please. But I do want a western theme interior, friendly faces and service, and generous servings of awesome food. Morrie's delivers on every level. What a great experience! First I liked the family portraits when you walked in. Like in the Big Easy, you know that means that here's a place that takes pride in tradition. Prompt and friendly service came next--GREAT classic old fashioneds. Appetizers, off the charts. We thought the Onion Rings were among the best we have ever had. Brussels sprouts, the same. So impressive. The New York strip--certainly among the top five of all time for me. Do add the onions and peppers, just another layer of great flavor. What is really wonderful is that the beef is locally sourced, from ranches in Nebraska and South Dakota. The pride of local markets really comes through, and makes. A. Difference. Sides? Yes. The root veggies are excellent but always order the chorizo hash browns. They are rich and thankfully they have a bit of a kick. They are filling--but hey box what's left and have for breakfast the next morning. My western trips will now include an overnight at Sioux Falls--that's how special Morrie's is.

I ordered the walleye, and it was very average--nothing memorable or worth the price. It felt like a run-of-the-mill dish that I could get at many other restaurants. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was a strong sewer/trap smell near the entrance, which wasn't the best first impression. While the odor didn't seem to carry throughout the entire restaurant, it was noticeable enough to stand out. The tap beer was also served much warmer than expected, which was disappointing for a steakhouse of this caliber. Overall, the service was the highlight of the evening, but the food, warm beer, and less-than-ideal first impression left us underwhelmed and feeling that the experience didn't justify the price.

The tracking said that it was delivered, but there was no proof provided by USPS as that it was delivered to the correct address. Again, all of this could have been easily fixed had the seller been willing to take steps to follow up with USPS. And if USPS messed it up, the seller could have filed a claim (the package was insured as stated on USPS website). In addition, the prices are almost double compared to local stores. I only checked after I had place the order. Check Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh, etc., and you'll see. Do not buy from this website. You'll pay more and may never get the items.

We ordered the TTM Raclette cheese melter Ambiance for 1/2 round of cheese from…read moreraclettecorner.com. The website indicated that they would ship it (ground) the very next day. After ordering the melter, allowing time for delivery, we invited some close friends over to try it out. The day following the order, I received an email from Sonja at Raclette Corner, relating that there was a delay in receiving the product from Switzerland and it would ship in two days. I replied and asked if it would arrive in time to entertain our friends or whether we should reschedule. Sonja kindly assured us that the raclette melter would arrive on time and asked not to alter our plans. She then followed up by shipping it at the appropriate speed to keep her promise. We have used the melter twice and it works as expected, just like the one's in Switzerland. (It is after all, the same machine made to work at 110v). What makes the raclettecorner.com different is the service! I would recommend this business (and the TTM Raclette Ambience) whole heartedly.
