I love this place! The staff was so kind, and while it was BUSY yesterday, people move in and out at a steady clip so we had no problem finding a tee to get set up on. Everything is really well maintained and there's ZERO pretentious vibes, which I really appreciated as a beginner. You don't have to wear a fancy outfit, sneakers are perfectly fine, and there's golfers of all levels and abilities. Really nice! They also offer classes, and I think we're going to take one of their group offerings over the summer. We went with a large bucket to split for $16, and got in about 40 minutes of golf fun. I think the prices are pretty reasonable and I appreciate the large parking lot. A lot of sales inside if you're looking for any kind of gear! Wearables, carts, clubs, AND they do club fittings. The shop itself is a little old school and run down, but so is golf, so it is on brand. I never thought I would find myself interested in golf (my parents are both big golfers) but I actually find myself really enjoying it. I am looking forward to continuing my golf journey and many more trips to Big Oaks in the future!

We arrive at 4:15. I go in to make sure we are all set. The guy behind the counter was waiting on 3 people who walked in (no reservations) with crocs. As I was giving him our names he told me to hold on, because the party w/crocs waivers were coming up. I told him I'll be back in w/my party. He said ok. I went back to my car at 4:24 got the rest of my party and was back inside. We walk back in, no one is at the desk. The guy that waited on me, was in the party room fixing the Tv. We waited 2-3 minutes for him. He comes out and he is trying to find our waivers. At that time, Taylor (Gm) comes out and tells the guy he will need to shorten our time. I asked for clarification as we waited for them! Needless to say after watching the video, Taylor tells me there is a party coming in and they need to shorten our time. The fact that I had reservations and paid, meant nothing. They wasted my time w/people w/crocs and fixing TV's. No compensation nothing just "I'll refund your money. Not cool!! Just in case, they try to say we should have arrived early I did but they don't require it!
