Dr. Harrington and dental technician Antoinette are awesome and they both always give me excellent care on my appointments and that's why I continue going to Creekwood Dental. The front office staff including the office manager on the other hand don't greet me or say hello to me when I arrive and they don't say thank you for your long time business or have a great day when I leave and not even one word to me at all and I've been a patient/customer for years. The front office staff doesn't make me feel welcome at all. On my appointment on 3/4/26 the office manager Sam saw me, but she didn't say one word to me at all and she saw me. That's so unprofessional. If, it weren't for Dr. Harrington and Antoinette giving me excellent service and treatment I would have stopped going to Creekwood Dental a long time ago. I have nothing against the front office staff or the office manager Sam. They couldn"t get it right. It took 3 crowns on the same tooth to make me walk. They wanted to extract it and I objected. I went to someone else and they discovered a cavity in the tooth. I have decided a change was warranted and requested that (by mail, twice) give me copies of my clinical notes and X-Rays to give to a new Dentist, when I find one. No reply to my requests. I have been a patient of Dr Harrington for about a year. Proceedures to date: Initial Exam, xrays, cleanings, fillings, extraction, crowns and most recently Invisalign. The level of care from the clinical staff is amazing! Dr Harrington is extremely talented and provides high-quality treatments with little to no pain or discomfort. He pulled a molar, stitched me up and I was pain-free that night; able to eat with really no discomfort. My high confidence in him has really relaxed my naturally anxious nature regarding dental procedures. My most recent procedure was starting Invisalign straighteners. They were a great fit and DEDE was so kind-natured and skilled at her job that the process was actually enjoyable. The pricing was very competitive and they worked with both of the dental insurance companies I have had over the last two years. I have seen probably 10 different dentists in Sarasota over the last 30+ years and Dr Harrington is certainly the best. read more

Today was my first visit as I am new to the area and looking for a new dentist. My hygienist and the dentist were great, but being that this is a place that I have to be maskless I was more than a little concerned that one staff member was not wearing a mask at all and another was wearing one of those mesh masks with little rhinestones on it that provide absolutely no protection to any of the patients. I can't believe a medical establishment would allow staff to be behave this way. I will never return here and will continue to look for a new dentist where patient safety is actually considered important. read more

I used Creekwood's dental services for almost four years while living and working in Bradenton. They were recommended to me by my boss at the time as a dentist in the area that accepts our insurance. You will definitely want to call and make sure that they accept your insurance before showing up for your first appointment. Before my first appointment I called and verified my insurance and gave them my insurance number. I show up for my appointment, missing two hours work, for them to tell me that they did not run the insurance yet and cannot complete my appointment during that visit. Waste of time. My second appointment was much better and reception is mostly good with checking on what services are covered with your insurance provider, even during your appointment. Amy is my favorite hygienist here and has many years experience. However, I did have to make full payment on a cleaning not knowing that I was only allowed one per six months. I was moving away and wanted the cleaning before I left, so I received a bill to my surprise. read more

I have been going to Creekwood Dental for about 6 years now, and with the exception of a few billing errors early on, things were pretty good there. I am now suffering with tooth pain and can not be seen by either dentist for over a month. I have kept up with my regular 6 month cleanings and exams with them so it's not like I am a "ghost" patient or have been neglecting preventative care, but apparently tooth/jaw pain is not worthy of attention anymore. I don't know if they have just taken on too many patients or are dedicating too much time to whitening and Invisalign procedures, but to have to wait over a month to be seen when you are dealing with daily discomfort and pain is too much to ask and tells me that this practice is not the same as it used to be and it is time to find a new dentist. read more

I just had a crown replaced and Dr. Harrington and his assistants were simply amazing. Gentle, communicative, best dental experience I've ever had. The hygienists are also very competent and thorough. The problem I see going forward is the lack of availability. There are only two dentists and they're booking dental appointments months in advance. They need more space so they can fit in another practitioner. read more

I just had another dental hygiene visit at Creekwood Dental. LaShayana did an excellent job with X-rays and cleaning. She has a confident and gentle touch and is very thorough, yet takes time to explain what she is doing and why. I've also used Antoinette who is also superb. Dr. Pfeiffer then did her review, took some more photos, and explained what she found. She is very professional, calm, and reassuring. Folks here are so rude. Place is so cramped. You legit have no privacy and the small rooms that they do have are smaller than most closets.

The dental hygienist here is really nice. If cleanings are all you need, see Yumi. The dentist told me that I had to get a filling replaced because it had been in my tooth for over 10 years. I asked why, since I wasn't experiencing any pain or discomfort. He said it was too old and could create problems going forward. The woman at the front desk told me it was covered by my insurance, so I let them replace the filling. BAD IDEA. I don't know what he did to my tooth, but it has been extremely painful since this procedure. I can't chew on that whole side of my mouth, hot and cold make me jump. It's awful. I was told that the tooth just needs time to heal and I should proceed with the bridge. Again, the woman at the front desk told me that my out of pocket would be about $1300 and they'd use the coverage from my dental insurance and my husbands dental insurance to cover the rest. I ended up paying about $1400, and the insurance companies paid their amount, but not without many, MANY phone calls and emails to multiple people in the office, and me calling both insurance companies. Keep in mind, I still can't chew or enjoy a cool beverage on the right side of my mouth. Adding insult to injury, they decided that me overpaying by about $100, plus everything that they got from my 2 insurance policies, wasn't enough. They sent me to collections for a $189 balance they said I had. UNBELIEVABLE. These people charge an awful lot to make sure you live your life in pain. I was healthy and had no pain when I became a patient here. Now I am in pain all of the time, I'm out a lot of money, and I have a ding on my credit. DO NOT GO HERE. In 2017 a friend recommended this dental office. I was happy to find a dental office that took my insurance. This office is more like a clinic. Dr. Gergus did a root canal and put a crown on the tooth. Two years later the same tooth now has an infection and requires surgery. After seeing an endodontic, I learned that the tooth is unstable and requires surgery as the dentist did not properly fill the root canals. I have called the office three different times and each time I was told the manager would call me. I have yet to hear from this office about my condition. They were pleasant when I was paying them but now that the table has turned this office is unacceptable and has poor practices. Beware. read more

Worst dentist I have ever been to. At first glance I thought this was a great choice to go here. The people are nice, the doctors are friendly, until they screw you with charges. I needed a root canal and crown and they charged me $2700 before insurance. 800 out of pocket. SHOP AROUND. When I told people I paid this they laughed at me. Very unprofessional, dishonest, and rude. Bombarded us with multiple texts, calls, and emails to schedule cleanings that were past due. Hygienist is always pushy and trying to upsell. Gave my husband a hard time because he wanted to talk with me before dropping thousands of dollars on a nightguard she wanted him to purchase that day (which by the way, he has never been told before that he grinds his teeth). Also very deceiving and gave plan of care with costs AFTER she did cleaning instead of before. At my last routine cleaning, the hygienist handed me 'something to swish' and the dentist used a laser for oral cancer screening. After the cleaning, the hygienist handed me a paper to sign that showed I owed $60 for fluoride and oral cancer screening. I refused to pay because they did not tell me PRIOR to doing this that there was a charge. The hygienist said okay and wrote 'no charge'. My husband went to his visit 2 weeks later and the same hygienist did the same thing to him. He, however, paid it because he didn't want to be rude. I called afterwards and the office manager assured me that this is not how they do business and said she would refund the $60. Six weeks later....still no refund. I called and spoke with another office person who said there was nothing in the system regarding a refund and said she would have office manager call me. A week later...no call. So I called again and spoke with the office manager. This time she was very rude and said a check should be in the mail. Two weeks later, I get a reminder call for my son's appt. It just so happened to be the office manager. I asked her about the status of the refund and she rudely told me It was in the mail. I said that I didn't want my son to go until we received the refund. She said she was going to cancel the appt. Well since then, I still haven't received the refund. And, I haven't received another reminder call, text, or email to schedule my son's appt. In the past, they bombarded us with reminder calls, texts, and emails to schedule missed appts. I'm assuming she took us out of the system. Very bad experience overall. read more

First I was excited coming here. I saw Dr Pfeiffer & Yumi & both were wonderful clinicians. Yumi was nice & accommodating. The rest of the staff especially the front were unfriendly & gave you the impression they didn't want to be there or didn't like their work. Had my tooth extracted, filling & cleaning done, then problem started. I called and asked for my husband's treatment plan to be mailed to me. I called 3 times, nothing was mailed until I had to drive to their clinic to obtain the record. During all 3 calls I ask the staff to explain to me what my husband needs. All 3 staff gave me different answers. That was concerning. It meant their dental record is not clear & not accurate. If they were unsure it would have been nice to get one of the dentist to speak with me. But NO, they were quick to get me off the phone. So when I drove to their clinic (The drive was 25min on side street) to pick up a copy of my husband's treatment plan I asked the same question and Sam, the manager had to take time to figure it out as well. Sam was apologetic & told me if I ever have any problems again I should come to her. Great! So I let the situation go until another problem came up. I decided to get Zoom whitening from them. The charge is $400. It included the impression upper&lower & laser treatment (45min) & a small box for maintenance. If you shop around you can get the box that they gave me for $30 to $40. So the rest of the $400 were for the impression & laser treatment. When I came in for my impression I asked the technician if they are going to clean/buff my teeth before zoom so the whitening can get in easily. The technician said yes, of course. The technician started working on my teeth impression but she left the mold in my mouth too long that ( and she did this on both my upper and lower) that she had to use all her strength to pull it out. She was yanking left and right and it was painful. I thought my teeth was going to come out with the mold. She finally had to call another tech to help her & the 2nd tech told her she shouldn't have left it longer. This tells me the 1st tech either doesn't know what she was doing or she is training to give zoom to patients. Either way, I should have been told that she is a newbie - so maybe I would have reconsidered. Remember $400 is not cheap nor discounted. I'm paying full price but the treatment that I'm getting seem to be discounted. I left that day. My mouth was hurting but I still let it go & didn't complaint..... UNTIL- I got a call a day or two before my zoom treatment & they told me they have to do another impression. WHATTT???!! I'm taking time off from work, I'm driving a distance & to go through another yanking and pulling??? I wanted to stop but they ask you to pay upfront before my 1st impression even took place. So I went back for another impression and the tech had to do it twice. OMG!!! is all I can think of. Finally, I came in for my zoom/laser treatment. Remember I asked the technician if they will clean or buff my teeth before zoom? NOPE. NO! They said no they wont its not needed. Why the change of course again? I don't understand. The 1st tech was there during the laser treatment - remember she left the mold too long, and a 2nd technician was also present. The 2nd tech started setting up/padding my mouth & telling the 1st tech how & what to do. I was right, the 1st technician is a newbie in training. After my teeth was set up the dentist came & applied the teeth whitening then the dentist left & the 1st tech set up the laser on my mouth. Because she is new (or doesn't know how to do things) the laser kept on slipping down bearing weight on my lower jaw. I kept on telling her this but it still continued to happen. Maybe its a defaulted laser equipment?! All this time I was wondering to myself why neither the dentist nor the tech told me the shade of my teeth before treatment? I thought that was normal protocol. You are whitening so you want to know the starting shade & have an end shade goal. None of this was done. I was not informed- so strange. After 1st cycle, the dentist came back & applied the teeth whitening again & left. So the 1st tech set up the laser on my mouth & it was slipping again. Grrr!!!! All I can think of is I was duped out of my $400. I started feeling pain (or what they call zinger) on one of my lower tooth and I thought they probably didnt cover the area with protection that why is hurting. I told them this and they applied more protection & the zinger went away. After the 2nd cycle, the 1st tech applied the teeth whitening. I was like wait a second where is the dentist?? Long story short... it was a waste of money. I told them I wanted my teeth whiter they said my teeth is already white to begin with & I can just use the $30 box they gave me. Then why did they still allow me to go through zoom? Like the other reviews all they want is your money! Don't come here! read more

I have been going to Creekwood Dental for 3 years. They were a recommendation from a colleague. It seemed each time I went there I always left with a payment even though I have good insurance. I recently had an appointment on Monday and upon check out I had a $35 fee. I asked what it was for and was told it was for a cancer screening. This screening was not reviewed with me prior to it being completed and when I asked about the patient fee I signed off I was told it was for my filling. Not once did anyone explain or tell me I was going to get a cancer screening done. I paid upon leaving, but left quite upset. I called 10 minutes later to explain how I felt I was taken advantage of, and was told someone would call me back. Which never happened. I called back today and they explained that the $35 fee was final and they were sorry but they would not reimburse me. I know it's only $35, but it's the manner in which they charged me without me even knowing. I called back and said I was going to switch dentist and to please cancel my next appointment and they gladly did. I find it interesting they would allow a patient of 3 years to leave, all for only $35. I suppose that shows they really don't care and money in the end is what's most important. Very sad as I really think the dentists are great, but I can't go back to a place that puts money before patients. read more

I switched to Creekwood Dental recently from a another local dentist. I do not have dental insurance and pay cash. I did not feel comfortable with all of the recommendations my current previous dentist was making. My first appointment was a routine cleaning and examination by Dr. Guirguis. The office was very efficiently run despite being very busy with many patients. There was an administrative team of of 4-5 individuals that were polite and thorough. I was called before my actual appointment time. This was a pleasant surprise I am used to sitting in a waiting room well past my appointment at other health care providers. The young lady who cleaned my teeth was upbeat and friendly even though it was 7:30am on a Monday. Dr. Guirguis evaluated my teeth and seemed glad to answer my multitude of questions. I also shared my concerns about my previous dental plan and was very comfortable with the plan Dr Guirguis laid out for me. I felt like he understood my personal situation and truly cared. I strongly recommend Dr. Guirguis and Creekwood Dental for any individual looking for a long term relationship with a dental office! read more
