It didn't take long for Crema to become a dynasty in Tyler. Opening just in 2021, Crema has become one of the top spots to get local coffee in Tyler and has built a large group of fans already. I think Crema is good, but to me, they are not really a coffee shop made to get your standard drinks at. Their specialty signature drinks are really what sells them. They are sugary, they are sweet, it's like a dessert in a cup at times. I categorize that style as "sweet treat coffee." Less about the coffee and more about coffee being the base of a sugary fun drink. That's their style, and it works for them. I think that can make a lot of people dislike them for not being as traditional as other coffee shops in the area, but that also opens the floor for people to go to Crema instead of a Dutch Bros/7 Brew and actually have an establishment with a cafe vs. just a drive-through. Their specialty holiday drinks can be pretty over-the-top and exciting as well. I remember they did a Cinnamon Toast Crunch drink once, and it was a behemoth of a drink. Crema opened after I had started going to college, but I've been quite a few times since it was the closest coffee shop to my parents' house for some time and my mom's co-workers loved going there. I would go every trip back and I started working it into my routine to hit up Crema before driving back to college every semester, getting their matcha. Before the matcha craze really took off, I tried Crema's Vanilla Oatmilk Matcha Latte, and I was pretty impressed with it because it tasted earthy but still sweet. I could best compare it to a flavor of Lucky Charms. I went to Crema when I was taking a quick trip to Tyler, and I ordered their iced Dolce with no whipped cream. I thought that it was a great treat after a long morning hike, but possibly too sweet on the wrong day. They now serve their drinks in those rounded bottom cups like La La Land does, which seems to be a trend, but it all makes sense for the concept of Crema. The spot is nice, the baristas are all very friendly, and it was buzzing with people that Sunday afternoon. The drive-through line was stretched super wide even though they were moving orders very quickly. It's great to see it doing well since I've left Tyler. RIYL: A sweet treat. read more

First time here in Tyler and we kept seeing things about crema! It was in a great location and easy to spot. The drinks ran on the sweeter side, but easy to modify. Overall enjoyed the multitude of options they provided. There was ample seating with outlets. There was a good mix of people studying/chatting and just hanging out. I think the downtown location is great. Never had a problem there, great atmosphere. Unfortunately, I can't fully recommend the Three Lakes location because of inconsistency. If I stop by during breakfast time, a breakfast biscuit is usually part of my order. But I've been told the oven is down so many times. It's discouraged me from going because I can never be sure if I'm driving over there for something they may or may not have. They need equipment they can rely on so the customers can rely on them. read more

Went through the drive-through tasted my coffee and it was slightly better so I asked them to put just a little bit of sweetener in it got it back and it tasted nothing but granulated sugar very disappointing for an expensive drink. This place was recommended to me by a doctor I used to work for. I've been 2-3 times I think. I've enjoyed it every time. The employees are always so nice, the music is always good but not distracting and the drinks are good. What really let me know the service was great was I ordered a small hot chocolate as my second drink and the barista suggested a mug and delivered it to my table. It was a small personal touch but it made a big impact. I do think they need to add more outlets for the people who sit and study like me. I got a dry cappuccino and my girlfriend got the Carmella. The cappuccino was good, the espresso had a great flavor. We also both got bagels, I got the ham and cheddar on a everything bagel, and she got the plain bagel and cream cheese. The bagels were small, and not very pillowy. The cream cheese was average, probably Philly. There were two slices of deli ham on mine and one slice of cheddar. For 7$ I don't think that's worth getting again. The everything bagel also has the everything baked it rather than being on the outside of the bagel. The service was fine, order taking was pretty slow. Service was great! Very helpful and work with us and picky kids drink choices. They were super fast with our orders and they had more customers as well. We had the bacon Egg and cheese burrito, kids loved them. Kids are picky and told us they were good. We had one Sugarplum coffee it's was great. Plus they have different milk choices oatmeal and soy. (Most definitely a plus for me) The pumpkin loaf tasted delicious, must try if you like pumpkin. It had a creamy fillings that made every bite so balancing and delicious. Crema has a great ambience -- I'll give them that. However, if you like coffee, and I mean, COFFEE, not straight up MILK, then don't come here. They offer a drive thru, but I definitely recommend going in to see how nice they have made the space! I went in and they were pretty busy, but I had my coffee with a very short wait!
