This is a small shop located at the end of Washington's street mall. The inside was clean, though there were a lot of flies buzzing around. Staff was nice and answered all our questions. There is a small counter you can sit at inside, but there are plenty of benches around washing street mall you can sit at. We got a savory and sweet crepe (GF). I wasn't a huge fan of the savory crepe, there wasn't much chicken and there was way too much sauce and spinach. I however would definitely g egg a gluten free or sweet crepe again. **GF friends! So service is really important to me. Especially within the first 30 seconds of walking into any establishment. We weren't greeted right away as the employees were enmeshed in setting up although they were clearly open. When we were finally acknowledged the employee still kept on with her tasks. I am a huge fan on crepes and when I saw that this place was here I decided to check it out. The place is small and located in a shopping area off the main street of cape may. The crepe I tried was honestly nothing special. The flavor wasn't there and it tasted bland. Whipped cream and strawberries did not help the flavor as they too weren't that sweet. They now take cards!!!!! This is so amazing because for years they had been cash only. The ypung adults are always friendly. The store is very simple a counter an their prep area, there are 3 stools on a small counter on the side to sit an eat, we found it easier to sit outside and eat. The cones are always made to order and delicious. I just wish there was another scoop, even if it was smaller in the cone. The ice cream is a large scoop but it's more on top of the cone than in it.. besides that I recommend the Mr Oreo. read more

This nice little snack stop in Cape May serves savory and sweet crepes and egg (bubble) waffles with various fruit, ice cream and other toppings. The toppings are pre-set, not customized. We were able to adjust by omitting the ingredients we didn't want and in some cases, swapping some of the toppings. The egg waffles are overpriced at $8-9 with the toppings (but I realize it's a vacation spot). The crepes are around the same price. We didn't order the egg waffles but the crepes were ok though a little on the dry side and a little skimpy on the toppings. Usually with egg waffles places, the pungent waffle smell permeates the store and hits you as soon as you walk in but that wasn't the case here. Overall, it's a cute idea in a vacation town. This was one of the largest, messiest crepes I have ever had, and it was good (not great). I had their chicken teriyaki crepe that was pretty messy. The actual crepe was soft, so it didn't do the best job of holding the ingredients in with it being set up like a cone, but it still tasted good and was very filling. Between the sauces making it soggy, the soft breading, and the cone structure, it was so much of a disaster to eat at the end that I just threw it away. I also had an Oreo bubble waffle cone, and that was much better than the crepe. The waffle cone was crispy on the outside yet soft when bitten into, and just generally a very good idea cream cone. If you have to choose whether or not to fill up on a crepe of a bubble waffle cone menu item, pick the latter. read more

We went to Crepe May for lighter late night bite. It's owned by Uncle Charley's (the ice cream shop just a couple doors down) so they also serve ice cream in bubble cones. I ordered the strawberry banana crepe. It was a great combo of flavors with the fruit topped with Nutella and sliced almonds. In my opinion, the crepe could have used a bit more filling. While I found the cone-like serving style fun and helpful to carry on the go, it is really hard to eat crepes in a cone. I think it's easier with a fork and knife, but that's just a personal preference. I would happily go back and try a bubble cone too! read more

I missed Bubble Egg in TX so badly ever since I moved to NJ.. I didn't find bubble waffles anywhere around where I lived so when I saw this place on our visit to Cape May I knew we had to go!! The waffle itself wasn't as thin as I've had(was made a little thicker than my liking/what I'm used to) and was more of a chew than the bit of crunchy I was hoping for. Had a lot of hope based on reviews and the menu, but ended up hugely disappointed. Went in for a Shrimp and avocado crepe. Food came out in about 10 min. The ingredients, from shrimp to avocado to lettuce, were very fresh (hence the 2 stars instead of 1), but that's the end of the good. Now the not so good. Nothing, let me repeat, nothing, had any salt. The pancake, shrimp, avocado, lettuce, and even the jalapeño dressing all had ZERO salt or any savory flavor, or actually any flavor at all (other than the dressing's spiciness). It ended up being more bland than anything I've ever had before. The whole thing was also cold, including the pancake which was cooked in front of me, but was apparently chilled by the cold shrimp etc, making it further unpleasantly bland in the mouth. To top it off, the dressing was really watery, and melted the bottom half of the pancake which stuck to the wrapping paper. I threw half of the food away. The service was non existent - the guy behind the counter was busy playing with his phone and didn't see me until I said hello after standing there awkwardly for a while. Maybe COVID staffing shortage struck again, but I would have preferred that they don't serve things they couldn't handle. I'd imagine the sweet crepe at least would taste sweet - but I won't be returning to find out. read more

I ordered a Banana Nutella crepe. I have never experienced such a skimpy amount of filling in a crepe. Maybe 6-8 slivers of banana and a scant drizzle of Nutella. I asked for extra Nutella when ordering and had to remind them while they made my crepe. I received a few extra drops. I took a bite and it was all pancake, minimal filling.
