I rarely leave negative reviews, especially when the customer service was good overall. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and drinks did not match the reputation of this cafe. The coffee was extremely disappointing. It tasted like someone rinsed out the coffee pot and poured that into my cup. The latte wasn't much better, an easy way to put it would be watered down milk. The sandwich was also disappointing. While the price was reasonable, the preparation was careless. The egg and cheese sandwich consisted of a little more than a slice of American cheese placed on the bread. They didn't event take the time to melt it. For a cafe with such a strong reputation, I expected much better, and I probably could've gotten better at a local gas station. Overall, while I appreciated the good customer service, the food and beverages fell far below expectations. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. read more

Don't let the 3.9 get you down. It's a smaller bistro-style place, with chalk-art-and green plant decor, creative drinks, and some great surprises. We got a banana chocolate latte, a dark caramel mocha (drink of the day) and a strawberry banana smoothie. All of these were great - my kids even liked the iced dark caramel chocolate latte. They sucked down the strawberry banana smoothie lickety split! Rolled in at noon, so got a chopped salad with chicken - great salad, fit with pickled onions and goat cheese which set it apart. Also got a fried chicken sandwich with cabbage and Whoa! This was SO GOOD! Don't miss it! OMG- best egg sandwich I've had in a long time!!! They don't advertise that they have the multi grain bread but they do! I got the egg sammie on toast, with sharp american cheese, bacon, and egg over medium. It was prepared perfectly. Wrapped in foil to keep warm and easy to eat. Odd that they didn't cut it in half but I ate it so quickly anyway. My latte was good. I couldn't taste the caramel so they gladly put more in. This place had a few people at 10am on a Saturday. A lovely little (as the name suggests) place in Wildwood Crest. It's a year round place, which I'm a huge fan of, and they're churning out lovely looking bakery items and sandwiches. I opted for a pork roll, egg and cheese on brioche and it was exactly what it was supposed to be! I got my order to go, but staying and eating there is a great option too. I wanted to really like this place because it is nearby, locally owned, and open all year. The inside is beautiful, everything is extremely well kept, everything looks great. The staff is very friendly. But I can't get over the prices. I realize this is a Summer resort town, but there are plenty of other local businesses - including those near and on the boardwalk - that don't charge over $10 ($10.32 to be exact) for an egg/meat/cheese plain bagel breakfast sandwich. Stopped in for lunch. It's a very nice cafe with a variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, baked goods and foods. I ordered the BLT which was really tasty. It didn't have bread. The ingredients were so fresh. It was unique, served on top of a fried red tomato, slab of mozzarella cheese, bacon, lettuce, drizzled with a creamy avocado sauce. The tomato was nicely crisped. I think it would have tasted better with a fried green tomato vs. red, but that's just a personal preference. We also had the loaded tater tots and those were divine! Beautiful presentation, very large portion, enough for four people. Freshly chopped jalapeños with cheese sauce and bacon bits on top. We shoveled these down with a fork! The baked goods looked great. Maybe we will try them out another day. Limited outdoor seating during COVID19, and masks required inside. I really want to like this place. It's adorable and conveniently located... but the coffee is flavorless. We've bought hot coffee, espresso drinks, and bags of ground coffee to bring home and all three had us scratching our heads, wondering why we couldn't taste the coffee. Today's triple espresso caramel latte with oat milk tastes only of oat milk. Considering the price, I am disappointed, BUT I will not give up on this place! My hope is that the owners see this review and finds another source for their coffee beans because I'd like to continue to patronize this cafe. On a positive note, the donuts are incredible. Bagel was hard on one sandwich and vegan bread tasted old on the other sandwich. Lots of bread and skimpy on the meat and veggies. Also ordered bacon egg cheese on a biscuit. Also way more biscuit and skimpy on egg and cheese. Ordered pineapple iced green tea and they were out. It was ok and I was fine exchanging for a plain hot tea but they didn't refund me for the more expensive drink they didn't have. Also forgot the chocolate chip cookie I ordered. This place is tasty for a little breakfast spot but it's always so packed with people either waiting in line or waiting for their order near the counter. There is a corner with nice plants for sitting and a small patio outside with tables and seats but it's been so crowded every time I go in that I just can't wait to get out. The pastries and coffees are always good, I especially like their coffee flavors as an add-in, and milk selection at the counter (they don't charge extra for oat milk!). As tasty as it is their pricing is what keeps me from returning as a regular customer. I recently ordered a Regular Cold Brew and it rang up as over $7. The girl at the register said it was because they steep it for 72 hours. I scratched the the Cold Brew and ordered a Iced Coffee instead for a more reasonable $3 and change. Hopefully the set up will be a little different next year to adapt to the beach crowd. read more

I come here every few weeks hoping that it will actually be better yet I continue to be disappointed... and from conversations with my shore neighbors a lot of people feel this way so I REALLY hope that the owners of this establishment read these reviews. Listen, I know we're in the Crest & things tend to run a bit pricier there but the lattes and cold brew prices are outrageous and the coffee definitely doesn't taste as good as it did previous years. Moving on to the nitro coffee which is also priced crazy high I can't even get it half the time b/c the machine is never working, it's the like McDonald's ice cream machine of coffee machines, why?? Lastly, if you are going to have so many yummy GF treats why not make them in a kitchen with better protocols where people who have to eat GF for medical reasons can safely consume them, that would be ideal and you would sell A LOT more of them, trust me. I'm giving up on this place which makes me so sad b/c it's so cute and very close to our house. On a positive note the woman working the counter shortly after opening on 8/19 was really sweet. This is the cutest little place in wildwood crest! I thought I'd try it after a friend recommended and now will be coming back on all my vacations. Their coffee is fresh and delicious. I love that they have oat milk. Açaí bowl was fresh, breakfast sandwiches were hot and delicious. The atmosphere is just adorable! Fast service and friendly workers. Maybe there's a best time of day to go, or maybe it was what we purchased and when we visited. We got two bagels and a cinnamon roll around noon. Cinnamon roll wasn't fresh. Bagels were hard. I assume they get their baked goods from a local bakery early in the morning and we were there closer to closing. My daughter likes this place but says she avoids their baked goods in favor of the food they actually prepare on premises. Service was not great, even though they were just pulling stuff from a display case. From the partly confused staff, it seems they are better with online vs "in person" ordering, so I'd suggest online ordering is the best way to go here. Personally, I'm sticking with Brittons and SunCrest Market for now. read more
