i made my family get up early to wait on line at this bakery just to judge reagan's opinion of apple fritters. jk jk but still it was definitely on my mind. the reviews are accurate. you will wait. the week before labor day on a wednesday morning we arrived around 7:30am and still had about a 30 minute wait until we were out the door with our precious box. we got a few fritters, the cinnamon roll, and a few donuts. here is how we rated everything: donuts: 8.5/10 ; fresh and airy, perfect frosting and filling. delicious. fritters: 6/10 ; they were fried too hard for my liking which gave them a semi-crunchy exterior. not enough apple filling but i can definitely see why they are popular even if they are not my cup of tea. inside was chewy with nice ribbons of cinnamon. cinnamon roll: 10/10 ; i would walk through broken glass to eat this for breakfast. i think we got more of the coffee roll style cinnamon roll because it was basically like a yeast donut dough but it was perfectly cinnamoned (word?), light, and sugary from the glaze. i'm clearly still dreaming about it. its not like a chewy buttery cinnabun at all. amazinggg. overall, would i wait again? yes, but send one adult early in the morning to bring them back. leave the family behind since this place is all business.

7:15am on a Friday in the summer

First visit here. At 7:15am, as you drive along Pacific, there are just a few souls out and about. But as you near Britton's Gourmet Bakery the street becomes alive. We arrived at 7:15am to a line half way down the block from Britton's. And a glorious smell wafted down the block. It took us about40 minutes to entry the bakery, where we found 5 or 6 workers energetically filling customer orders. We went right for the home run - a box full of apple fritters and a chocolate glazed donut for the road. They were delicious, sweet, gooey, and filling. This won't be the last time for us. Highly recommend the apple fritters!

I stopped by at around 7:30 AM. There was already a pretty long line, but it moved quickly and I was inside by 8:00. We got a bunch of different treats. The apple fritters were very good, everything else (cinnamon bun, frosted donuts, Boston cream donut) was just okay, with the exception that the cruller actually tasted bad.

Me trying the Boston cream doughnut, which I was not happy with the cream for some reason tasted off inside

Just picked up our donuts for the first time after I take a couple bites of each I will let you know my full review. We arrived at 7:45 in the morning so everything should be super fresh hang onto your hat. I'll be back. four stars for now until I eat it and then I will give my other Star review when I'm done. The four star review for now is for the service which was very good. Sfogliatella was fresh and delicious the apple fritters were delicious. The strawberry and cheese thing was also good. We also ordered two Boston cream donuts to be fair. We are Boston cream fanatics for some reason the cream tasted a little off I thought so and also my partner, so that's two teas buds that also felt the cream was a little off, sorry but I'm gonna have to remove Star

They are usually great, but seriously skimping on ingredients for the holiday . There cinnamon buns are usually covered in nuts. IT WAS DEFINITELY NOT WORT WAITING IN LINE FOR AN HR

Stopped by on a Saturday morning while on vacation based on recommendations from locals. We arrived about five minutes after they opened thinking we could beat their infamous lines. Nope! The line was already out the door and a block long. They only take cash, so be prepared. There is an ATM inside though. Only 3 allowed with masks for COVID19. I ordered a bit of everything. My favorite is their old fashioned donuts- only a buck each. You can taste the freshness honestly, light and airy goodness. They have all kind of treats from sticky buns, apple fritters, bagels, danishes, muffins, donuts, coffee cakes and coffee. No hot chocolate though. Do yourself a favor and walk there! The parking is tight and well, after eating these calorie dense blobs of dough and sugar, you may even out nutritionally. I had a serious sugar rush followed by an immediate crash requiring a nap. And yes, was glad that I walked the 2.5 miles from our hotel.

Here at 7:30am on a Thursday. Only 3 people allowed inside

The pastries here were amazing especially the cinnamon rolls! They were not too sweet and perfectly spiced.

Great apple fritters, the other donuts were average or better. Cash only is a pain. Busy place, browse quick.

Apple fritters at this bakery are amazing. Worth the 2hr drive to get here. Best fritter in NJ if not the east coast.

UPDATE!!!¡ Don't bother wasting your time doing a review for this place. I already took mine down…read morebecause I was warned ahead of time that every time you place a review the owner either comes right back at you or gets one of their friends to counter your review. So they keep their high star rating. They don't know how to take criticism here. God forbid they just said we apologize for your experience please let us make it up to you or something along that line. Instead they get nasty with people who have a problem with their finished products and get others to write better reviews to make the person look stupid. 24 hours after I had my review up they already had someone up saying the exact opposite of my review about the exact same product , coincidence? I think not. I think the warnings that were brought to me are true. This company does not know how to take advice or criticism without getting salty. Typical women!!!! Move along when you see this company. OH AND APPLE CARAMEL PIE WAS MISSING SUGAR, BROWN SUGAR AND CINNAMON. All we could taste was dough Apple flour and butter As far as amount of pies sold this year and last. They were school fundraiser, people are not going to complain because it was for the school
