Ultimate Banana Supreme crepe at the Crepe Works works near the Santa Maria food court
    Jihan A.

Went here on the first official day of Spring Break for a snack before dinner. I'm usually disappointed with all crepe works but I was craving something sweet so I decided enough time has passed that I should try the company again. I went to the one near the Santa Maria instead of the one near Galaxyland. This time I got the Banana Supreme, which has custard, bananas, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. Back then, when I got anything banana based, I would get partially green bananas so it wasn't as sweet as I wanted, and the banana was too firm. This time though, I'm happy to note this location used ripe enough bananas that it was sweet enough for me! The crepe was perfect in not being too thin, and they timed it so that the custard and whipped cream didn't immediately melt and make a mess when I recieved it. There was a bit of a lineup, but I didn't mind waiting as I know families with kids tend to get rowdy. The 2 ladies who worked here were very fast and efficient with their order taking and crepe making. I think next time I'll add an extra order of slivered almonds in mine because I do like a bit of crunch.

Love crepes. I don't eat them often but I usually get one while I am at West Ed and they are delicious at Crepeworks. They have such a great selection that goes anywhere from California chicken to banana supreme. Yes, some are desserts and others are not! They have a larger selection of sweet crepes and personally I like the sweet crepes. Definitely worth checking out when you are shopping.

    Crepes, mon cullion.

Free refills on the pop (self serve) this is one of the better places in the food court, not very busy when I've seen it. Some of the best fast food I've eaten. Make sure you try the amazing garlic potatoes! I would give 5 stars but they told me there are no refills even though the fountain pop faces the customer, If there are no refills then don't make me pour my own drink.

Today I was at West Edmonton Mall, and I wasn't really that hungry, but I really wanted to try Koryo. I got the BBQ Chicken Main Dish. It was only $7, and it came with plenty of food--much more than I was expecting. It came with two chicken thighs, two scoops of rice, and two side dish choices. I got the green beans and the potatoes. They also smothered my food in a delicious sauce. The chicken was very good. It was cooked well, and it was very tender. The rice was good--not too sticky. The green beans surprised me, because they were purposely cold. I wasn't crazy about that, but it was still good. The potatoes were to die for. They were very crispy on the outside, yet very soft on the inside. I had to take at least half of my food home, because I couldn't eat it all, and the worker was nice enough to give me a little box to put it in. Koryo was like eating at an actual restaurant--even better than some restaurant food I've had, and it's cheaper too. I'll definitely be coming here again!

I honestly did not think I would find quality Indian food in a West Edmonton Mall food court. Was I wrong. So far, I have tried palak paneer (spinach curry with chunks of cheese), chana masala (chickpea curry), and a pea and paneer dish whose name eludes me at the moment. The paneer is firm and sweet, just as it should be. The meals are served with a generous helping of rice that tasted like proper basmati rice when I had it. Meals also come with a large piece of naan bread, which is baked on the spot. At around seven dollars, you get a full Indian meal that would cost way more in a sit-down restaurant. The samosas are huge and are sold as pairs. The pakoras are mouth-watering dumplings of chickpeas, onions, and spices and are sold in fives. I would come here just to get some to nibble on. Admittedly, I have yet to try the butter chicken but I am looking forward to it.

After I got through my confusion and my built up anger started to go away I had to test it out. This place exceeded my expectations.. by a lot. The butter chicken tasted good, almost as good as some of the best Indian restaurants. The price wasn't bad at all and it actually gets cheaper the more stuff you get. I am still baffled as to why this place exists but I have to admit the owners might be on to something.
