Seriously, why aren't all hotel pools & jacuzzis 24 hours? This needs to become the standard in the hospitality industry! The hotel is smoke-free, of course, but it didn't always used to be...or so it smells. There is a faint hint of it throughout the building, but not enough to be detrimental. Just noticeable, at times. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay, particularly when we had to send some friends to retrieve a couple items from the Lost and Found that we'd accidentally left behind. Would definitely stay here again the next time we have a reason to stay in Wenatchee!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the fun that is Crescent Bar -think Grand Canyon-level beautiful scenery and tons of fun, polite and very attractive people all enjoying the sun and the water on a sand berm. The best thing about CB is that it is only 2.5 hours from Seattle. On holiday weekends, you might compare it to holidays at Lake Lanier (Georgia) or Lake Havasu (Arizona). IF you have never gone to Crescent Bar, you really should. It is the most fun you can have outside of skiing or that close to Seattle. . I drove down from Seattle with a few friends on the Friday of Memorial weekend. Despite it being a big holiday at Crescent Bar with space of all either priced at a premium or unavailable, Debbie provided us with an amazing 2/2 condo at Sun Serra complete with her five-star service at a non- holiday price. As soon as we drove in from Seattle, Debbie came out to meet us and even managed to locate convenient parking for our boats and trucks on property without charging us extra. Her kindness and consideration kept coming throughout our stay as she checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything! Our two bedroom condo was beautiful. The property offered five pools , four hot tubs, and all types of sporting courts. Our condo /townhome proved to be the perfect place to go and relax after a day in the sun and on the water. The need to knows: there was a micro refrigerator, however, it was not cold...at all, and yes it was plugged in. There wasn't any microwave or coffee maker inside the room. Oh, and the ice machine was on the first floor. This is a fairly new IHG property. For a no frills, clean stay, it works. Parking is a bit of a hassle and we ended up paying the $10 for hotel,parking in a lot around the corner. It was worth it as we could walk to restaurants within blocks of the hotel. As for the room itself, it was moderately sized but we had room for all our gear without tripping over anything. The king sized bed was comfortable with 5 pillows provided (the norm seems to be 4 nowadays). The room was very quiet but the bathroom has a sliding barn door which unfortunately doesn't muffle bathroom noises which should be private. Decor is soothing warm neutrals with a small sofa and a desk chair provided for seating. There is a small frig but no microwave. Keurig is provided for in room coffee but I would recommend going down to the lobby where fresh brewed coffee seems to be provided. 22/7. We did not check out the rooftop garden due to the weather. Would've enjoyed a drink in the cozy bar adjacent to the lobby but it doesn't seem to be open yet. I would definitely stay here again should I have the need to overnight in Ellensburg.

So last week, on my way to Seattle I decided to stay the night in beautiful Ellensburg, WA (home to Central Washington University). Since it was just for a couple nights, I decided to get something downtown so I could walk around. I found Hotel Windrow online, booked the room and what a fantastic surprise. This boutique hotel is indeed RIGHT downtown. It's stylish, easy to find, obviously in a great location, and the property includes a hip little lobby bar a space called 'Top of the Berg' which is a rooftop area with fire pits, etc. very cosmopolitan. The rooms were lovely, very homey with a small couch, desk, large bathroom and comfortable bed. I walked two blocks to a fantastic Italian meal (more about that in another review) and overall, had a truly fantastic and easy night. A couple amenities to highlight include ample parking and electric charging spaces for electric cars or hybrids. I love finds like this, and plan on making at least one night stay over a regular occurrence now if I'm traveling on I-90. Recommended.

Mind you the other rod is laying in the grass and has a lure on it in case my son got bored of power bait. He continues to say we can't have two rods arguing in front of my son.
