My friend and I stopped in to kill some time and check out the chai lattes. I ordered the spiced chai with skim milk and found it to be very pleasant. The service was friendly and pretty quick. There is also a full lunch menu, bagel breakfast sandwiches, and a number of pastries for sale. The shop was not too loud and had a mix of comfy seating and tables. Crescent Moon is a very good coffee and tea shop near us. We come here at least once a month. I love all of their different latte flavors and the staff is always so helpful with recommendations and answering questions. The snacks they have are always tasty as well. I especially love their cookies when they have them. The inside is pretty big for a cafe/coffee shop, I'd say there are at least 8 various size tables with seats. A cute little cafe in a strip mall in Mullica Hill was a surprise find! I stopped on my way home from an errand. The storefront was inviting, the inside was a little dark and moody. The front of the shop had sofas and leather chairs that looked comfy and relaxing. There were also several tables and chairs further back by the counter. The counter area was a little cluttered but it was easy to order. The staff member was friendly and helpful. A glass case has bagels and pastries. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are available as well as salads. It says the bagels are LeBus but the cinnamon raisin do not look or taste the same. They are good standard bagels. Le Bus has a sugary glaze which these did not. I had a hot chocolate since it's a signature drink. It was good. It had a chocolate flavor but not as deep as I expected with a 72% caco Guittard. It was also not thick or very creamy. The whipped cream added a little more creaminess when it melted. The coffee selection was very good. There were also several types of chai tea. If I'm over this way again, I would definitely try the salad or sandwiches as well as a chai tea. read more

Quaint little coffee bar! The line can sometimes be long during morning rush especially on the weekends, however the baristas work really hard at crafting everyone's drinks in a timely fashion. They have a great selection of beans if you want to grind your own coffee at home ( so much better than grocery store bought grinds) and their drinks and small bites are delicious. I have been to Crescent Moon an handful of times now. The shop is located in a large shopping plaza that houses a supermarket and several other prosaic stores that one would find in these plazas throughout suburban America. However once inside Crescent Moon the shop is warm and inviting and unique. The coffees that I have tried have all been very good and so have the baked goods. On this cold morning after a bike ride, I had hot chocolate with espresso and a blueberry muffin. Both were excellent ands the muffin was large and moist. My group had a variety of coffee drinks and everyone was happy with their choices. Service is very friendly and all of the staff at Crescent Moon have been great. The only drawback is that the coffee shop is popular and tends to get crowded. There is seating but not enough. There were 7 of us sharing a counter table. Very nice, independent coffee shop in Mullica Hill and so much better then DD or that chain from Seattle that shall remain unnamed. 4 Yelp Stars read more

I got the Dark side of the Moon ground for French press and got the Broccoli and cheese soup, chicken salad wrap and the roast turkey panini. It's been almost two years since I've last had the chicken salad and will say it was really good lol. Cute coffeeshop! I wanted a quick afternoon pick-me-up before driving into the city and Crescent Moon happened to be next door. I don't know why or how it took me so long to stop in, but I'm glad I finally did. Despite the likely confused look on my face as I skimmed their expansive display menu, the staff was SUPER friendly, welcoming, and ready to make suggestions. I asked if they offered a cold brew when I didn't see it posted on the menu. They said not yet, but they were playing around with one in the back and happened to be looking for customers willing to check it out/give feedback. They gave me a small cup and I so hope they put it on the menu! It was seriously delicious. I ordered a basic latte to go -- which I also loved -- but they also offer a ton of cool-sounding latte options, including snickers. Crescent Moon is an inviting alternative to the chains. On my last day of visiting friends in NJ they recommended we try this coffee place as we hit the road Sunday morning, their only warning was "be patient as they take time with your order because they do it all by hand". I was a little bit at a loss pulling into the parking lot, coming from WNY most of the coffee shops that I visit are not in shopping plazas but stand-alone locations or built into older structures that don't have this commercial feel. The store front does no justice, walking in you feel warm and cozy and can see that this place is a great place to meet and possibly do some work and study. I loved the decore along the windows as it appears to be old burlap sacks used to hold beans and I loved the glass containers alone the wall holding the variety of roasted beans. For my meal I ordered a large Americano, which I considered on par with usual Starbucks. I drink it black with some cinnamon so the quality of the roast is not really masked by creams and sugars and this cup was great. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich, made to order and a little confusing. It was an everything bagel, egg, the sharp cheddar and bacon and I grabbed an apple/cranberry scone for later. I'm not sure why I had to mention I wanted egg since that is usually the base of a breakfast sandwich however everything was a delicious minus a few fuzzies that appeared both on the scone and sandwich, if I ever travel back through this area it will be another stop! read more

Their food is usually decent but every time I go the service is painfully slow and some of the staff seem kind of aloof to what's going on. Even when I'm the only one in the place they take forever making the breakfast sandwiches, and several times they just outright forget my order. The other issue is they have a large bible study group that takes up most of the good seating which I think is just unfair. Nothing against bible study groups but they take up all the couches and it's difficult to relax due to how loud they are. I wish there was some more competition in this town and I'd happily give it a try, but I think crescent moon coasts on the fact that they are the only coffee shop around. read more

I have been coming to this place for years, and appreciate it is THE local coffee shop, and the drinks are good. Usually, however, our visits are cut short because we are constantly SWATTING AT FLIES, competing for bites of our food. They seem to congregate near the window seats and near the fireplace (would be nice to see a fire), mirror, and soft chairs. Seriously, this has been a problem for years. Can you do something to get rid of all the flies? I hate to think of why/how they are there, but I will assume they come in the door. Maybe turn on a fly attracting catcher at night so the next day we can eat in peace? Happy to remove this review once I have a fly-free experience. Owner response would be appreciated. read more

When looking for a local place to grab lunch, this place popped up. It seemed like a cute cafe so I decided to stop with my Grandmother. Upon walking inside, it was pretty crowded which I took as a good sign. We looked at the menu and they have plenty of healthy lunch options. We opted for the salad with fruit. We ordered 2 scones including a cranberry apple and a blueberry. Also we got a Blue Moon specialty drink which had blueberry, vanilla and honey. The salad was a generous portion and the drink was flavorful but had way too much ice. I was pretty disappointed with the scones. They were mediocre and lacking the balance of flavor and crisp that good scones need. We also had no idea how much the baked goods were since we couldn't find a bakery menu. I was also disappointed in how much plastic they use for everything including straws, silverware, take out containers and cups. I would think they would be more environmentally conscious and have compostable or biodegradable products like so many other coffee shops have.
