Walking into this coffee shop early, I found this place to be very welcoming with plenty of seats with tables. Most tables had a marker on it with various times reserved. That's a great sign, right!! I ordered a caramel mocha hot coffee that was very good. They have pastries, which I ordered one. This shop is also pet friendly. I even met a four legged friend before I left! I was able to select 4 different iced coffee creations for my flight and a baked good was included. I would highly recommend making reservations online! The staff were wonderful and very attentive. Overall a very cute cafe to stop in at! Drinks: The elderberry hibiscus tea has become MY FAVORITE tea EVER. The iced mocha is pretty good, nothing special. Looking forward to trying more! Food: I've only tried the macarons, but they were really good! The red velvet flavor is amazing. Arrived and sat down quickly but then we were ignored for 20 minutes and then quickly filled out flight requests and then sat again for 20 minutes waiting to have our orders taken. Common grounds is a cute coffee shop located in Oaklyn. When you first walk in, you see their delicious pastries on display. They have everything from muffins, cake pops, macarons, quiches, cookies, and so much more. They do not have a huge menu to choose from but they do offer a wide range of coffee. They serve lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, americanos, and they even have drink specials each month. When I went to common grounds I got a cappuccino and gluten free chocolate chip cookies. The cappuccino was incredible and I paired it with oat milk. It was the perfect combination. The chocolate chip cookies were crunchy and delicious. This coffee shop is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I grabbed the Cortado drink from their holiday menu and it was so delicious. My boyfriend ordered a vanilla latte and said it may be the best coffee he's ever tasted. What a cozy spot! We will definitely be back. read more

This is an adorable little cafe with a few outdoor tables. It has WiFi and lots of natural light. The baristas were friendly and patient as my family ordered. We had cold brew and drip coffee. There are few things I enjoy more than a local coffee house with great food and even better coffee. Common Grounds is clean, friendly service, opens early (7a which is at least an hour earlier than most places around), comfortable indoor seating area, nice outdoor seating area, has a ton of sweet and savory food options, and the coffee (cold brew) was amazing! I ordered their tomato, feta, and spinach quiche which was packed with flavor and had a light crust. I also tried their blueberry crumb muffin which was delightful.. light and fluffy with a nice crunchy crumb topping and the perfect amount of blueberries. I arrived shortly after opening but by 7:30 this place was packed full of regulars. You can tell, this place is a "go-to" spot for people in the area. We waited 10 mins online behind 2 people for them to tell us this. They also told us we had to make reservations a week in advance because they were booked for the next week. Came for the coffee flight and it did not disappoint! We came across the Instagram of this company and just had to go! The entire place is ascetically pleasing and gives off real coffee shop vibes. There were two young ladies on staff who were very friendly as well. But when I tell you every single item we ordered was made to perfection I'm not lying! Couldn't have been more pleased with this experience. The barista was friendly, the coffee was stellar (a simple dark roast with peppermint mocha flavoring. I didn't even have to use milk, it was so delicious) and the food was scrumptious. I got a muffin and a potato, bacon pepper, and cheese omelet and couldn't stop myself from demolishing it! So good. Came in on a Monday around 2 pm. It was calm and peaceful inside. We sat by a window and enjoyed our treats, watching window shoppers walk by on the street. Really nice experience! The coffee shop is cozy, and it has a relaxed ambient. There were only two other customers here when I got here, and the surrounding neighborhood was pretty quiet as it was snowing outside. The barista took my order, and gave me some good tips about the area. I ordered a cappuccino, and sipped on it while checking out my options nearby. The coffee was alright, and provided the energy boost I needed. After I got done, I headed back to my car for my next destination. This was a good option, I'd recommend it. read more
