I had to fight to get toilet paper, yes toilet paper. No one was on the same page. There were no universal processes so everything was CHAOS. You wait and wait and wait for even pain meds. Under staffed severely. I was "discharged" last Friday without knowing I had to do it myself. I had to call the nurse at the front desk to tell her I was leaving. No one ever told me this. OMG again, I almost lost the chartered car service waiting to take me home as this nonsense was so time consuming. AND worse yet, I was sent home WITHOUT my very vital meds (heart meds!!). I called and no one knew who could do anything. The meds were there and they were so stupid they couldn't possibly just call a messenger service or send someone to me (I live 10 blocks away). They did not call in any meds to my pharmacy. This just happened and I am now going into my 4th day of no heart meds. It is a disaster and disgrace. AVOID like the plague.

I have struggled with several physical ailments ranging from shoulder pain to hip and knee issues and she has helped repair them without the needs for surgeries (when doctors were trying to convince me to have surgery). I feel as good as new and I owe it all to Dr. Rivi. She works differently than any other PT I have ever experienced. She gives you individualized time and attention and works with both mind and body. She has a way of making you feel as though you're her only patient and is fully present with you at all times. Again, I can't recommend her highly enough.

Dr. Rivi is intuitive and seems to understand the body mechanics, uses multiple types of PT modalities such as cranial sacral, upper cervical/atlas, traditiona PT and makes connections better than any other body worker I've been to. She is also an extremely kind person. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I received treatment at Spear PT's Upper East Side location on 3rd Avenue between 67th and 68th Streets, where my physical therapist was Ronique James. After eight weeks of treatment, I am now almost pain-free. Ronique was smart, caring, and attentive throughout the process. She listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions about my condition, and checked in regularly about which parts of the treatment felt too difficult, which exercises were helpful, and how I was progressing. She also varied the exercises, which kept the treatment from becoming repetitive or boring. Her approach reflected a strong understanding of my condition and the appropriate combination of care, including massage, ultrasound, stretching, and strengthening exercises. Ronique was always on time and consistently gave me the time and attention I needed. The administrative side of the experience was equally smooth. Scheduling appointments, coordinating insurance payments, and handling related details were all seamless. The staff was friendly, efficient, and consistently got everything right the first time. There were many 1.5-2 hr gaps between finger sticks and insulin administration which placed my dad at risk for complications related to hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia. Also, dad developed stage 2 pressure ulcers/bed sores under incompetent nursing staff care on the 14th floor. Dad didn't get changed for over 6 hours or within a reasonable time after a bowel movement. Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) kicked my mother out of the room during diaper changes, stating "patient privacy" but my dad was never asked if his wife could stay at bedside. All these issues were addressed with Shova Panta, RN Manager but nothing was done and issues were overlooked. Shova lacks good clinical judgment, leadership and competent nursing skills. Dr. Shahed Abbasi, provider on the 14th floor is the Grim Reaper. My father had chills throughout the night with numbness and tingling on his lips and tongue, hand tremors, slurred speech, audible crackles and generalized edema from head to toe. All these symptoms are abnormal for him. I asked Dr. Abbasi to call 911 but she refused stating she didn't believe it was a true medical emergency. Dr. Abbasi said his vital signs (temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate) were normal. I stated he was symptomatic. I called 911 and the operator dispatched 4 paramedics/EMT to Riverside Premier due to acuity of situation. My dad ended up in the ER trauma room with septic shock which was life threatening and was transferred to ICU. Dr. Shahed Abbasi, Shova Panta, RN Manager and nursing staff were negligent, incompetent and provided poor quality care that increased my dad's mortality rate. The only good thing about the 14th floor is PT/OT. Beware of the doctor and nursing staff. They're the ones who provide around the clock care at bedside.
